Even Liberal Press Getting Sick of Obama's Prepackaged Phoniness
Even the liberal establishment media is getting a little fed up with the contrived farce that is the Obamination presidency. Watch Chip Reid of CBS News and even the shrill moonbat Helen Thomas lay into Obama's smarmy press secretary over the phoniness of the Anointed One's staged town hall meeting:
They'd better get Reid back on the reservation, or there will be no bailouts for CBS.
On tips from nancz, Jo, and Chuck. Hat tip: Stop the ACLU.

Brandeen and Wellstoned are still licking it up, though. The tingle in Chris Matthews leg hasn't gone away. Andrew Sullivan still wants to make a caramel colored baby with Obama. So do Katie Couric, Meredith Veira, and Diane Sawyer. Brian Williams still cries himself to sleep at night after Obama made a joke about him; because he thought they had something special.

Wow - The lib press had the lib spokesmouth squirming. COOL! I bet Gibbs went outside and kicked a puppy when that was over. Probably kicked the new first-dog! (NO! I don't mean Michelle!)

Ive been tired of OBAMA since the election and i,ll never ever call him president

Amazing, even esteemed members of the leftist MSM who supported and covered for this demagogue administration and its policies are candidly admitting his phoniness doesn't pass smell test #1. Why couldn't Mr. Glibbs just admit that they couldn't program TOTUS without having the questions beforehand. Calling all liberal trolls, anyone have the gall to defend the fact that your Dear Leader can't handle non-scrubbed questions about nationalizing healthcare? What about his pledge for the most open and transparent government ever? What is he afraid of? I'll await your responses, and don't give Glibb's BS line about "well, let's just see the questions tomorrow -- even Helen Thomas's bulb was bright enough to realize that was crapola."

Cracks in the Obama administration? I'm guessing we'll start to see more of this in the future;

Quick! Get the teleprompter out there!

What can you say to this other than "the revolution eats its own."
Those two reporters are without any doubt Obama voters; they were intelligent enough to know what the hell they were voting for. They got what they voted for. They wanted "change," they got it.
Reality will out.
The Left is dumber than the box the rocks come in.

The time will come when the only ones fooled by this president and his caress secretary will be passed out drunks and little babies.

Oh my! When Helen Thomas starts seeing through what's going on with Obama and the press....Gotta give the ol' gal her due, she's still got spunk!
Obama won't be able to hide behind the MSM forever.

Amazed that even Helen Thomas has her dander up over Humpy Dumpty's flippancy. Maybe more people will start realizing that a vote for Obama was a huge mistake.

Who else wants to punch that smug Bobby Gibbs square in the face and then mop the floors with his girly tears after his beatdown?

Normal end of honeymoon stuff. Reporters were able to get away with the fawning for the past six months because everyone's doing it and beause it's such an historic event that it's above and beyond trite concerns like media objectivity. But here we are in July, and any reporter who doesn't extend their range a bit by looking serious and challenging, hard-charging and penetrating, is going to be written off as an Obama lovbug. So, bottom line, the bigger players and more ambitious ones are starting to flex their new muscles so they dont get trapped in a 3/09 past. Natural process, to be expected, no real news.

Ah, they're not questioning policies at all, just appearances. They're still online to let maximum leader zero do whatever he wants. They seem to think they have some appearance of objectivity or independence with the public, even though we see right through them, and they want to try to maintain that illusion. A little firework here & there is supposed to add a sense of conflict.

Even Glenn Greenwald, the notorious democrat shill, is getting creeped out by the Obama admin.

They learned that events must be prepackaged or they risk another Joe The Plumber type incident.

Helen Thomas makes it clear what is really bothering the MSM. It isn't the socialism, it isn't the confiscatory taxation, it isn't the disregard for human life, it's that the PRESS is being controlled. Well, good. If their own self-interest is the only thing that will get them to do their job, it's better than nothing. I just hope they aren't too late.

Hats off to Reid for wandering off the reservation! As some of you know- I work in the broadcast industry. Around 2:03 - 2:08 listen to Reid's voice... do you hear the shake, the nervousness, the "boy, I could really get my ass kicked for saying this"? He regains his confidence after Helen Thomas takes up defense of the question as well, so... props to her, too. (checks for fever)
Mr. Evilwrench: you're right- they're not questioning policies, but I think that they will. This is the beginning. After scratching his back, they get... the shaft. So now they're pissed. They will start to question policies- that's next. But first, the rest of the Press will have to be on the wagon. And this could be the start of it...
See?? There is hope for change...

I heard this earlier on the news. Get a load of Gibbsy giggling, like in past guffaw-fests of other pressers. Um, I don't think they're joking, Bob. I can't stand that guy, and he's hard to look at too.

And now the latest money-making scheme from the left-wing press: The Washington Post is selling access to administration officials and reporters for $25,000 to $250,000. At one time, this sort of thing would be considered unethical, but under Obama-Pelosi-Reid, selling access to government officials is just more deep-dish Chicago Style government.

No way this Gibbs tool hasn't studied Joseph Goebbels.

I never thought I would see the day.
Hey.....where are all the shit head trolls on this?
Posted by: Dave at July 2, 2009 1:32 PM
I think the whole thing is more subtle.
The reporters could ignore data that showed bias.
What they could not ignore was the Messiah arrogantly grinning and winking at them and telling the whole world that they were biassed (you all voted for me - he could only come to that conclusion by reading their work)
A huge misstep for Messiah.
The reporters were outed by the very man they fawned on. Their denials of bias no longer carried any weight.
In a nutshell, nobody likes to be taken for granted. It's a human thing.

When even Helen Thomas questions you, you know you're in trouble...
