The Politics of Envy
Sorry Michelle. Not all girls get to look like Sarko's wife Carla Bruni:

Yes, quite a difference, eh?
It's hard to believe they're both the same species...

She's probably thinking of a way to Nationalize her beautiful face; it's sorta like spreading the beauty around. lol.

Wouldn't you love to know what happened right before that picture was snapped?

You could press her face in dough and make gorilla cookies.

Posted by: keepthechange08 at June 8, 2009 9:57 AM
OMG what a priceless photo. Fred Sanford, that was one of the funniest lines from the show. It still makes me laugh. I named my cat "Cookie" after that line.

I don't like Michelle Obama any more than any of you do; some of these comments, however, seem racist. I don't like that. I'd like to like coming to this blog, as I typically do, for a well-documented chronicling of the atrocities of this presidential administration. But comments like these give me pause.
Posted by: brent at June 8, 2009 10:51 AM
chill out brent, that gorilla cookie line was from redd foxx a "black" comedian, the moderatism is stong in you
Posted by: weewilly at June 8, 2009 10:55 AM
on a related note maybe we could get those "scientists" who found the "missing link" last week to investigate MO?
Posted by: weewilly at June 8, 2009 10:59 AM
What did Robert Gibbs say about the picture?
Posted by: Bob at June 8, 2009 11:01 AM
Spread the wealth?
Why stop there? Spread the attractiveness!
If there was a way to do that, you know it would be next...
Ugly people have a right to be good looking, too, stop hogging all the hotness!
Posted by: Jeffery Wright at June 8, 2009 11:41 AM
I never thought Michelle was beautiful as described in all the magazines. I never thought Oprah was beautiful either. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I also do not see Obama as a sex symbol. I know a lot of the gay guys do

"I don't like Michelle Obama any more than any of you do; some of these comments, however, seem racist. I don't like that.
"Posted by: brent at June 8, 2009 10:51 AM"
And I don't like some idiot waving the word "racist" around like a GUN. Want to FIGHT about it?
Posted by: KHarn at June 8, 2009 12:20 PM
weewilly, if you knew me, you'd know that I anything *but* a moderate. It's perplexing that you would make that kind of non sequitur as a conclusion regarding my comment. Furthermore, more than one comment seemed kind of racist.
The last thing conservative blogs need is to give the MSM red meat right now. You and I both know this. Do you really think they'll go out of their way to understand and responsibly report the nuance you mentioned (i.e., Red Foxx)? No, of course they won't.
Come on, people: We need to play smart.
Posted by: brent at June 8, 2009 12:21 PM
brent, you big dummy!
Posted by: Fred Sanford at June 8, 2009 12:24 PM
I agree with you, Brent.
As for Carla Bruni, I think she's attractive, but not beautiful. She has a rather gaunt look to her face.
Posted by: MST at June 8, 2009 12:24 PM
KHarn, I'm on your side. So don't go around burning bridges you didn't even knew you had. I don't want to fight you. It isn't that I'm scared to do so; I'm not. I just don't feel like it.
Everyone in this comment string needs to take a moment and contemplate the possibility that I'm in fact on the same side of the political spectrum as all of you -- because it's not just a possibility, but the truth.

Give Carla a set of eyeglasses, and she'd be a fairly close match for Sarah Palin.
Posted by: James McEnanly at June 8, 2009 12:31 PM
Paraphrased from someone over at Jawa;
Carla: "If I sit really still, maybe it won't notice I'm here."
Posted by: Hope at June 8, 2009 1:35 PM
Ok, why don't we focus then on the psychology evident in the sinister look on Michelle's face?
Do you want THAT kind of petty envy and RACIST (yes, blacks CAN be racist against whites) hatred in the White House advising her husband, the man with his finger on the nuclear trigger?
Posted by: Anonymous at June 8, 2009 1:52 PM
brent, based on your exquisitely tuned oversensitivity, i'ma hazard a guess that you're under 35. people OVER 35 know that words are mere sounds, and can no more "hurt" someone than laughter. and spare me the rebuttal that "words can TOO hurt!!" - because if you do that, you'll only prove my 'under 35' theory.
grow a spine, dude. hell, grow a *set*. if it's ok for sotomayor to whinge endlessly about her latinahood; if it's ok for ellison to whinge endlessly about his islamichood; if it's ok for the left to call rice & thomas house slaves and uncle toms.....
then it's ok for us to mock meechellay for looking like the pouty thug she is. she's a public figure. she's a fair target - as fair a target as laura bush, nancy reagan, and sarah palin, all of whom the left trashes mercilessly. does the fact she's black somehow make her 'off limits' in your mind, brent? then you're either a racist or a coward.
if brent is what passes for an american conservative these days, no wonder we're doomed.
Posted by: nom de guerre at June 8, 2009 1:59 PM
brent,
In case you've never heard of Saul Alinsky and "Rules for Radicals", one of the left's strategies to attempt to discredit the right is to post racist comments on right wing blogs. It's related to astroturfing.
Wise up.

Hmmm, I recall some comment during the campaign about "lipstick on a pig"......
Posted by: CharlieDontSurf at June 8, 2009 2:12 PM
More hard hitting topics! The president's wife was caught in a photo with a bit of a scowl on her face. Hmmm, what can we infer? See above for the obvious answers. Intellect abounds here today!

Carla Bruni - Total babe, hands down
Oprah - was attractive once
Michelle Obama - Average, certainly not ugly but certainly not a head turner either
Ann Coulter - OMG Absolute total babe (even though she could use a sammich or two...)
Posted by: Bob S. at June 8, 2009 2:31 PM
CharlieDontSurf, Hint, this site is meant to be funny. Laughter, you should try it.
Posted by: Bob S. at June 8, 2009 2:33 PM
And what we have evident in this picture is undisguised (in fact there's no way to hide it) HATRED. Just as if Carla had grabbed the best toy in the sandbox and michelle didn't have anything to hit her on the head with HATRED. Myself, I won't comment on the species thing, call that what you will. Wanna wave the word "racist" around like a gun? I betcha michelle there would shoot ya with it. In any case she doesn't have whatever it takes for international relations. Neither of them do. These fools do NOT belong in the white house.

Oops, Sorry, CharlieDontSurf, my comment should have been addressed to Anonymous...
Posted by: Bob S. at June 8, 2009 2:42 PM
I am laughing Bob. Its so funny that when I take a jab at y'all in the same tone and spirit as the post, that I am accused of not having a sense of humor.
I say, take your own advice. Lighten up. Or perhaps you'd like to argue that this IS a hard-hitting topic? You can pick that one with someone else.
Posted by: Anonymous at June 8, 2009 3:04 PM
Man-o-man.
Put THAT on the cover on the daily inconsequential.
These people are so very petty and evil.
Where is the class of the last 8 years. How do you expect to unify and bring the respect for America back with these losers?
We never really "lost"the respect of the world. They just think we're clowns. As evidence I direct your gaze to the immigration lines and the Illegal problem.
Posted by: czuch at June 8, 2009 3:27 PM
Stop criticizing the beautiful and elegant "Jackie O"-like MO.Besides, she's been featured 8 times on the cover of "Underbite Monthly".
Posted by: Dr. Carlo Lombardi at June 8, 2009 3:27 PM
You all missed my point. I'm not offended; some of those comments just seemed wrong, and I'd rather not be associated with them -- or made to be apparently associated with them because my IP address indicates that I frequent this site.
And, yes, Michelle Obama is most certainly a racist. And so is her husband. And so is Sotomayor. And so are the entire liberal media elite. And their song and dance about it all drives me up the f'n wall, just like it does for all the rest of us here.
But do two "wrongs" make a right? That might seem cliche, but I'm just sayin'. And even if it's not really a wrong -- and I'm open to arguments -- do you really think the dumb tards who blindly vote for Obama will even *try* to understand the nuance before reflexively falling back on the MSM's effective branding of us?
Fine, if it was astroturfing, then I've been had; if it wasn't -- and I have no way of knowing one way or the other -- then we really shouldn't be giving the enemy more fodder. The way you all pounced on me, by the way, reminds me of the inanity I encountered when trying to make a reasoned argument over at The Huffington Post last year.
We're better than they are. Come on.
Posted by: brent at June 8, 2009 4:18 PM
"Michelle Obama is most certainly a racist. And so is her husband. And so is Sotomayor."
For goodness sake. You folks will say ANYthing.
Posted by: Anonymous at June 8, 2009 4:41 PM
Wow. Didn't she glare daggers like that at Oprah and Hillary?

I echo every word Brent said in both his posts.

I thought, at first glance, there was more to this shot and I was right ... Angela Davis Obama isn't glaring at Mrs. Sarko ...

Posted by: drillanwr at June 8, 2009 8:09 PM
drillanwr, I noticed that the picture just prior to one that was cropped shows Michelle looking even angrier at Mrs. Brown. I wonder if she mentioned how much she and Gordon "loved" the DVDs?

WHOA! Does Misshell look like a bitch or what?
Misshell is probably giving Carla that dagger look for a number of reasons:
Carla is white.
Carla is beautiful.
Carla is a model and performer and people love her.
Carla speaks at least three languages fluently and Ebonics isn't one of them.
Misshell saw Hussein oggling Carla.
Carla is a capitalist heiress to a wealthy manufacturer - not a Marxist.
Carla doesn't practice Obamunism.
Carla is obviously ignoring the bitch.
The liberal media is making a big deal about Hussein "snubbing" the French President for dinner. I'm not so sure it wasn't the other way around. You know how the media tends to twist things 180.
Posted by: Jimbo at June 8, 2009 9:24 PM
Whoa, conservatives cozying up to the French. Has the world gone crazy?!
What happened to "freedom fries" Jimbo? I bet you were ordering those not too long ago. Talk about a 180 twist!
Posted by: Anonymous at June 8, 2009 9:49 PM
so, brent and MYOB, if i understand you correctly.... you want us conservatives to continue to fight on using the genteel old marquis of queensbury rules against a group of people/ideology that fights with *NO* rules.
the people who subpeona'd robert bork's video-rental records at his hearing in 1987. the people who lied and called charles pickering a racist. the people who made up sinister non-existent memos about miguel estrada. the people who went after sarah palin's *KIDS*. the people who caricatured condi rice as a squawkin' parrot perched on massa's shoulder; and clarence thomas as a grinning lawn jockey.
in short, you'd have conservatives *continue* to bring a knife to a gunfight. interesting counsel, there: not normally made by someone who's trying to - you know - trying to WIN.
are you guys DNC trolls? no? then why counsel "fight fair" against barbarians who neither know nor respect rules of any kind?
Posted by: nom de guerre at June 8, 2009 11:40 PM
LOL jimbo. "carla speaks 3 languages, and ebonics isn't one of them". i don't care WHO you are, *that's* funny.
Posted by: nom de guerre at June 8, 2009 11:43 PM
"Bichelle" always looks so angry. I believe this is typical of "Reds", they are angry that they always seem to have less than they feel they deserve. As a result they seek to take away from those who have earned and accumulated and give it to those who won't work. Other than that I think DRILLANWR hit the nail upon the head.

If conservative blogs don't give them red meat, they'll just invent it from scratch. Conservatives ought already to know this from experience by now.
Be it resolved, for the reviving conservative movement, to ignore the word, "race" (except in its competition-related meaning) and all its permutations. Let the Left realize they've been crying wolf for too long.

Carla Bruni is incredibly attractive...
Anyway, this is not the first time we've seen this look on Michelle's face (although yes, this time the daggers are HUGE. ) I wonder what that says about a person who, when captured candidly in photographs, always seems to be wearing a deep scowl. It makes me sort of uncomfortable to think that someone so angry and so influential is in a position such as hers.
Posted by: Murff at June 9, 2009 5:26 AM
