Barney's "frank" I'm sure is more the size of Vienna Sausages, surely not jumbo, why else would he be a power hungry Bolshevik? But I'm sure he would love to "pork" you if you bend over for him.

Where is Whore of Shitstone anyway? Bending over for Barney right now?

Take one for the team, Whore!

Speaking of Mandingo. I noticed that reality show with one of the Playboy bunnies Kendra whatever (one who laughs goofy and is always on The Soup) has a serious case of Mandingo Syndrome marrying Hank Baskett (now she is a real Baskett Case!). At least she finally bailed on that old wrinkled prune dirty old man Hugh Hefner.

If you drop your wallet in Fall River, kick it to New Bedford before bending over.

My wife just bought vegetarian hot dogs for herself. They are called Tofu Pups. I don't know how shw can eat those things.

Rich, I once went on a vegetarian kick. I bought those things and tried them, and it cured me of vegetarianism permanently.

Cowlove, I can't fully support your linked thing. My family business is a small restaurant. Also, I won't give up beer.

Posted by: Hereford at June 30, 2009 11:19 AM

Vegetarian hot dogs or burgers? Ugh! PUKE-O-RAMA!

You want veggies? Fry up a lot of thin garlic slices in olive oil, add some chopped broccoli rabe, sun dried tomatoes and hot or sweet peppers!

Glass or 2 of paisano (grapes are vegetables, right?)

Save the whales, dude, or the planet or the Earth or whatever.

I can appreciate that Karin, but understand our economy is 70% consumer spending. We would all be hurt while we starved the beast. The idea is that the pigmen would be hurt the most.

In my humble opinion, being pinched is a whole lot better than the rampant ass raping we're receiving as a whole, no?

I expect Gallstone to come in and gloat about Senator Stuart Smalley any time now; it's the kind of thing only a left-wing jackass could be proud of.

V the K, it's a certainty. Dems "Gregoire" another election, in between bleating about electoral fraud.

Posted by: V the K at June 30, 2009 12:46 PM

It's offically official (speaking of "franks"): Jumbo Sized Doofus moonbat Al Franken is now a Senator from Minn-ah-so-tah. Yah, yah, sure, you bet-cha!

Posted by: Graycat at June 30, 2009 1:27 PM

It's a strange time we live in. Al Franken... AL FRANKEN is a United States Senator. Truly, the best and brightest of the Democrat party.

Still, I'm not pissed at him, or even the dipshits in Minnesota who voted for him. That state has a long, distinguished history of electing random B-Grade celebrities to office. "He's famous! I'll vote for him!"

I'm pissed at Arlen Specter. Thanks to him, the Democrats have a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Cap and Trade, socialized medicine, TRILLIONS of dollars in new spending, massive tax increases, it's all coming.

Still, I expect out resident trolls to come in here and start gloating. Have fun, guys. Enjoy power, because after a few years of your idiotic schemes you won't have it anymore.

Posted by: Evil Otto at June 30, 2009 1:45 PM

Look on the bright side, Otto (and I admit, it does take some looking): while on one hand Dems can now do whatever they want, on the other hand, they will have no excuses, either.

They're 100% accountable for everything that happens from here on out. Everything.

Think what a chilling prospect that must be for people who a) have focused for years on opposing things, but now have to propose things, and b) at some level realize that they and their leaders have no clue what they're doing.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 30, 2009 2:02 PM

HALLELUJAH!

i'm in! finally!

Posted by: nancz at June 30, 2009 2:23 PM

The problem is, Jay, that these liberals are DELUSIONAL. They don't have a problem proposing things... idiotic things like socialized medicine and cap and trade, even in the face of a collapsing economy and unbelievable debt. They also believe they know what they're doing, believe it despite all evidence to the contrary. And they don't believe for a second they are accountable.

We have to show them that they are. That starts in 2010.

Posted by: Evil Otto at June 30, 2009 2:27 PM

Otto, absolutely. I'm hoping that they won't do too much damage by 2010, but I suspect that they'll do enough to discredit themselves.

And no, trolls, before you start, you can't blame the next millennium or two on George Bush. At some point - and I think we're there now - you're running your own tab.

Notes from My Fan Club

It’s not easy being a conservative today. In fact, it never has been easy since conservative values are more confining than liberal freedoms to do and act as you damn well please regardless of the consequences to society, family, and self.

Still, there are undeniable benefits to conservatism, not the least of which is watching, listening to, and reading the antics of the left which often approach the level of Theater of the Absurd.

Another conservative plus, which requires a sense of humor, is that we get to laugh at what liberals do and say and how they act.

Cases in point are the following comments to articles I have re-posted on the Cincinnati.com blogsite. All were made by “westsidejohn” in response to those articles. I know nothing of westsidejohn aside from the content of his comments which have not been edited in anyway.

I think they’re pretty funny and very typical of the liberal mentality, not to mention the ever present venom that governs their daily existence and which erupts in such vitriol. It’s sick and even sad, in a way, but also amusing if you appreciate that kind of humor.

Re: “Katie Courac, Nasty Cougar:”

westsidejohn wrote: Arent you a bitter little person? Jealous much? You call her a cougar because she dates someone younger? Would you say the same thing to a man who dates a younger woman? And as for her interview with Sarah Palin….she exposed Palin for the inexperienced, stupid intolerant twit that she is!! Sarah Palin couldn’t even name which newspapers she read when she could have ended up in the highest office in the free world.

You are obviously a very bitter and very uneducated person. Thank God I don’t have to worry about an imbecile like you ever being in any important office. Why don’t you switch to a subject you know because current events and politics are not one of them!

There is some light at the end of the tunnel. For one thing, the Democrats have to put on the grown-up pants now. They've been whining that everything bad is Bush's fault. That excuse won't wash with them in total control of government.

Second, Americans have not historically been fans of one-party rule. The Democrats have already blown out the deficit, and with unchecked power, they are likely to over-reach badly. Gun control and Amnesty are just two possibilities.

And third, just the presence of a low-life clown like Al Franken in the senate is going to give voters buyer's remorse.

I don't think the Republicans will take back the House or the Senate... especially not with ACORN on the loose, But they should be able to take back some lost ground.

Posted by: V the K at June 30, 2009 3:26 PM

V you left out the possibility that we have a greater chance of being attacked again. If that were to happen that would paint a completely different picture of the democratic leadership.

It would show just how weak they really are.

I'll bet this old lecherous queen's frank is really hurting him after he heard that Sonya "La Raza" Sotomayor's back-of-the-hand shafting of white and hispanic was slapped down and reversed by a 5-4 SCOTUS Monday.

It's certainly a public safety concern of the highest importance to get the most qualified firemen and police into leadership, be they white, black, or pink or purple skinned -- that they are advanced according to merit, not a corrupt racial identity politician's divvying-up of leadership positions under a preferred racial spoils system to appease his favored constituents, which is exactly what occurred.

Let's see, SCOTUS thought the issue constitutionally important enough to warrant 93 pages of discussion; Sotomayor's cowardly dodge took just 1.

http://www.supremecourtus.gov/opinions/08pdf/07-1428.pdf

What is most interesting are Justice Alito’s observations in his concurrence, observations that Ms. Sotomayor surely must have just missed in rendering her one-pager affirmance:

“the City’s asserted reason for scrapping its test -- concern about disparate-impact liability -- was a pretext and the City’s real reason was illegitimate, namely, the desire to placate a politically important racial constituency.

“But even the District Court admitted that “a jury could rationally infer that city officials worked behind the scenes to sabotage the promotional examinations because they knew that, were the examinations certified, the Mayor would incur the wrath of [Rev. Boise] Kimber and other influential leaders of New Haven’s African-American community. On one occasion, ‘[i]n front of TV cameras, he threatened a race riot during the murder trial of the black man arrested for killing white Yalie Christian Prince. He continues to call whites racist if they question his actions.’”

Of course, as Alito points, the Rev. Kimber was as corrupt as they come:

“Reverend” Kimber’s personal ties with seven-term New Haven Mayor John DeStefano (Mayor) stretch back more than a decade. In 1996, for example, Mayor DeStefano testified for Rev. Kimber as a character witness when Rev. Kimber --- then the manager of a funeral home -- was prosecuted and convicted for stealing prepaid funeral expenses from an elderly woman and then lying about the matter under oath.”

In 2002, the Mayor picked Rev. Kimber to serve as the Chairman of the New Haven Board of Fire Commissioners (BFC), ‘despite the fact that he had no experience in the profession, fire administration, [or] municipal management.’ In that capacity, Rev. Kimber told firefighters that certain new recruits would not be hired because ‘they just have too many vowels in their name[s].’”

Almost immediately after the test results were revealed in ‘early January’ 2004, Rev. Kimber called the City’s Chief Administrative Officer, Karen Dubois-Walton, who ‘acts ‘on behalf of the Mayor. Dubois-Walton
Walton and Rev. Kimber met privately in her office because he wanted ‘to express his opinion’ about the test results and ‘to have some influence’ over the City’s response. As discussed in further detail below, Rev. Kimber adamantly opposed certification of the test results -- a fact that he or someone in the Mayor’s office eventually conveyed to the Mayor. …

Both [City fire] chiefs believed the test results should be certified. Petitioners allege, and the record suggests, that the Mayor and his staff colluded ‘sans the Chief[s]’ because ‘the defendants did not want [the fire chiefs’] views to be publicly known: accordingly both men were prevented by the Mayor and his staff from making any statements regarding the matter.

Almost immediately, Rev. Kimber began to exert political pressure on the [Civil Service Board]. He began a loud, minutes-long outburst that required the CSB Chairman to shout him down and hold him out of order three times. Reverend Kimber protested the public meeting, arguing that he and the other fire commissioners should first be allowed to meet with the CSB in private. Four days after the CSB’s first meeting, Mayor DeStefano’s executive aide sent an e-mail to Dubois-Walton … The message clearly indicated that the Mayor had made up his mind to oppose certification of the test results (but nevertheless wanted to conceal that fact from the public):

“I wanted to make sure we are all on the same page for this meeting tomorrow …. [L]et’s remember, that these folks are not against certification yet. So we can’t go in and tell them that is our position; we have to deliberate and arrive there as the fairest and most cogent outcome.”

It’s unbelievable that with this record the decision wasn’t 9-0 reversing Sotomayor, but it’s frightening, although not surprising, that Obama has nominated a person to SCOTUS based on her ethnicity who chose to side with corrupt politicians knowing of the City of New Haven’s shenanigans in opposing the test results to curry favor with Rev. Kimber, a racist rabble-rouser.
One

One of Rev. Kimber’s ‘friends and allies,’ Lieutenant Gary Tinney, also exacerbated racial tensions before the CSB. After some firefighters applauded in support of certifying the test results, ‘Lt. Tinney exclaimed, ‘Listen to the Klansmen behind us.’” Tinney alleged that the white firefighters had cheated on their exams -- an accusation that Dubois-Walton conveyed to the Board without first conducting an investigation into its veracity

[City Attorney] Ude privately told other members of the Mayor’s team “the ONLY way we get to a decision not to certify is’ to focus on something other than ‘a big discussion re: adverse impact’ law.

At some point prior to the CSB’s public meeting … the Mayor decided to use his executive authority to disregard the test results -- even if the CSB ultimately voted to certify them.

Alito concludes with “[i]t is noteworthy that the Solicitor General -- whose position on the principal legal issue in this case is largely aligned with the dissent -- concludes that ‘[n]either the district court nor the court of appeals … adequately considered whether, viewing the evidence in the light most favorable to the petitioners [as they were required by law to do] a genuine issue of material fact remained whether respondents’ claimed purpose to comply with Title VII was a pretext for intentional racial discrimination …”

Justice Ruth “DarthVader” Ginsberg states in her dissent “The Court’s order and opinion, I anticipate, will not have staying power.” Nothing like observance of legal precedent, hey Ruthy, but she’s likely right if Dear Leader gets to appoint more SCOTUS Justices. As far as Rev. Kimber and the Mayor’s dirty politics, she basically says move along, move along, nothing to see here.

I wonder when we’ll see Hollyweird, Dateline or 60 Minutes do an expose on this matter? Any liberal trolls care to try to defend Sotomayor’s ruling, Brandon, GoW? I’m sure the MSM can’t wait to expose this charade-- but I won’t hold my breath.

Actually, I have a story about Senator Wellstone. My sister was attending the University of St Thomas during an election year, and Mr Welstone was organizing a campaign rally that was going to be covered by the evening news. However, the rally participants looked a but too Caucasian, so they tried to recruit my sister (who was adopted from Korea) and her non white friends to show more of an ethnic flair for the cameras. I'm sure he isn't the only politician to have ever done something like that on either side of the political aisle, but it seemed somewhat dishonest. However, since his unfortunate demise, most Minnesota Democrats talk about him like he was the second coming of Christ.

Bit old now, but delicious schadenfreude nonetheless as DUmmies lose hope in their saviour:

DU: "Obama's promise of a new beginning now hollow"

What happened to Barack Obama on his way to the White House?
...
Oh, he can still talk the talk and he does that incessantly. But he seemingly can't walk the walk. He may still sound like a revolutionary but more and more he looks and acts like George W. Bush, albeit a George W. Bush who can speak a complete sentence in the English language.

And bit-by-bit the possibility of change disappeared; bit-by-bit the hope of a renewed and reinvigorated American democracy and way of government faded away. Those who had held a dream in their hand closed their hand and crushed it.
...
"I VOTED for this man, BUT THIS MAN isn't who I VOTED for! The CHANGE I see is in HIM!! And yes, I KNOW, how well I KNOW... but, but, but he's only been in office for FIVE months! So what??? Do tell, what will the NEXT FIVE months look like at this rate???"

Butler, I have seen that happen in many campaigns, on both sides. It is unfortunate, but it is a reality of politics. In the 90's my girlfriend and I were asked to attend a photo shoot with Spence Abraham for what my Republican sister called "a younger, more diverse look in the crowd". As far as calling Wellstone the "second coming", I think that is a bit much. His legacy for never backing down is what earned him great respect amongst liberal Democrats...I'm one of them.
