Barbara Boxer to General: "You will address me as senator, not ma'am." Do male senators get pissy when addressed as sir?

When my son was in middle school, a teacher gave him an office referral for saying, "Yes ma'am" because "it made me feel old."

And Babs is not the only Capitol Hill See-You-Next-Tuesday with a broomstick up her ... .

I suggest everyone call or email Jim McDermott's staffer with the message, "Hey, lizzy, lighten up."

Olive Garden cancels advertising on Letterman. Anyone up for some soup, salad, and breadsticks?

Posted by: V the K at June 18, 2009 11:19 AM

Since when is ma'am a disrespectful term? There is an employee at a local grocery store where I shop, who works the customer service counter. Her job is to sell ciggies, lottery tickets, money orders, Western Union money transfers, etc. She greets every customer with endearing terms such as "sweetie, hon, honey," etc. I have yet to be offended. "Ma'ma" and "sir" are the military's way of addressing civilians. Babs Boxer needs to build a bridge and get over herself. Of course, that bridge would make the Golden Gate Bridge look something a kid would build out of Popsicle sticks.

Posted by: We Are So Screwed at June 18, 2009 1:49 PM

Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that your effort to turn the Republican Party into a party of hate is not working. I am a proud liberal in a town pretty evenly split between conservatives, moderates, and liberals. I am a liberal married to a conservative, like my mother. My friends are about half conservative, and we all get along great.

The younger generation simply does not have the hatred that you folks do. The conservatives I know, for the most part, are kind, tolerant, and respectful of other people's opinions. They may not agree with me on things, but they also don't call me evil and act like they are the only bastians of morality in the world. Also, they are mostly Christians, but not Christians who think it is their business to tell other people that they have to stick up for THEIR religious rules.

Sometimes I wonder if sites like this are actually run by liberals to make conservatives look bad. It's not like I don't think there aren't vicious liberals out there that would do such a thing.

But at the end of the day, I DO believe this website is real. But your mission is failing. Most conservatives are not hateful, intolerant people. They are kind, loyal, hardworking, and are willing to work with people of different political persuasions. I do a lot of volunteer work, and when I volunteer there are people of all religions (or none at all) and political stripes. We get along really well.

Sure we debate things, and we really disagree on some issues, but we also listen to eachother. There are some issues on which my Republican friends have won me over on, like abortion. If all I had ever been exposed to was people like the ones on this site yelling "baby killers" then I never would have considered the pro life side. But because I have smart, kind friends who are able to present their point of view without judgement, they won me over. Likewise, they have become very interested in environmental issues after learning about them from me.

So you guys can try and ruin this country all you want with your hatred, intolerance, and frankly, evilness. But you're not going to fool people like me into thinking you in any way represent the average conservatives. Because I KNOW the average conservative, and they're just as good people as moderates or liberals or anything else.

So try and stire up all the hate you want. Try to wreck America with your division. The younger generation IS NOT LIKE YOU. They want to get along and work together, even with their opponants, to do good works and good things for our country. THEY are the future of the Republican party, not you.

So try and make me hate your way of life, it's not going to happen. Try and flame the culture wars...they are dying along with the 60+ Rush Limbaugh crowd. I respect conservatives even if they don't reflect my own, just like my conservative friends respect me.

So stay on here and preach your hate. I have better things to do. This weekend I'll be working with "Homes for our troops" which provides housing for injured soldiers, along with my liberal, moderate, and conservative friends. We're actually going to work together to do something good for this country. You guys can just stay around and spread your white supremacy online and act like you're the REAL patriots.

Long live Republicans, long live Democrats. Long live America.

I leave you alone with your hatred, bitterness, and loneliness.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 18, 2009 2:28 PM

Where were you the last eight years? So far we just disagree with Obama. No one is calling for the assassination of a President, or comparing him to Hitler. We leave that sort of thing to the "tolerant" liberals.

A Special Message to the People of Iran

By Barack Obama
President of the United States

Greetings. As president of United States -- or, if you prefer, the Great Satan -- I have have been following with keen interest the vigorous post-election debate and vibrant political dialogue which has been taking place in your great and noble Islamic Republic of Iran over recent days.

It has been both educational and fascinating, and as a sports fan I have thrilled to the pageantry, the suspense, and the fast-paced, hard-hitting action. I have to say It's been as exciting as a double overtime game seven NBA final between the Lakers and Celtics!

Like millions of others around the world, I can't wait for the exciting conclusion of your distracting nail-biter so I can finally focus on my big health care project at the office.

(Now that's what I call a real crisis!)

But no matter who prevails in your hard-fought contest, you can rest assured that I will be out there in the stands watching, and ready to congratulate the team who brings home Tehran's coveted Golden Centrifuge Cup.

Take to cotton out of your ears and stuff it in your mouth. When you do that then open your eyes.

Posted by: Dave at June 18, 2009 2:53 PM

Yes, Jay.
Upon reflection I discovered that one of the most effective influences on my own political and social perspectives was often not the original post on a thread, but the comments. While information on the number of visitors to any particular site is not readily available to me, it is possible that the number of readers who do not comment vastly outnumber those who do voice their opinions. Therefore, comments detailing my thoughts and attitudes on a subject may not convince those, like yourself, who respond, but I may be able to convince someone else who chooses not to respond. In other words, you aren't necessarily the one I hope to convince.

Posted by: Harris at June 18, 2009 2:54 PM

Why do trolling libs come here?

Anyone want to answer that?

Libs chime in if you want.

Posted by: Dave at June 18, 2009 3:02 PM

I've got a hunch that "Sarah" is the same person that posted as the anonymous doctor yesterday and possibly is the same person that posted as LIB BANGER last night; and then there is "Harris" who just happens to drop by after a long hiatus shortly after "Sarah" posts and all he has to say is he agrees with "Sarah." Just a hunch, but I think I see a pattern here.

I’m so disgusted I may actually pay my taxes this year, have returned that little “honorarium” from George Soros, and will not be trolling on pro-American websites any longer. I have even stopped transmitting American secrets to Cuba, and for the first time in my life will be voting Republican in 2010. Go America!

Gee, Dan Axelrod was right. This astroturfing is fun!

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 18, 2009 3:14 PM

Hmmm. So, I guess the new "Concern Troll" tactic is to claim to be open to discussion, while accusing people who hold conservative views of "hatred, intolerance, and frankly, evilness."

Sarah, before you cut and paste your sanctimonious lecture into the next 20 conservative blogs on your list, two words: spell check.

Posted by: V the K at June 18, 2009 3:15 PM

I'm a conservative woman and I'm not bitter or hateful at all. Sounds to me like Miss Sarah is projecting her own hate and envy of others who have it good.

I also do a lot of charity work Miss Sarah. Every single night I pick up food and give it to people who are hungry. I hardly call that mean.

But I do feel being a Conservative means that you have NO right to the money I've earned. Earn your own damn money.

While the rest of the whiners like Liberal Sarah were busy shopping at Target buying shit they couldn't afford in 2006, I was busy working my ass off 1-2 jobs and having a side business and stocking money away.

Now I can ride out this economic storm without having to freak out about where my next meal is coming from. And I've never asked for any government bailout or handout.

I don't begrudge anyone who earns a decent living. If you can afford all the luxuries in life, good for you. Isn't that the American way, earn a good living, set money aside and enjoy your life?

The younger generation wants to work together? Great, because they’re going to be working their entire lives to pay off the debts Obama is running up. Fortunately for Obama, the “younger generation” isn’t clever enough to have figured that out yet, but then, they’ll have next 40 years for that rather low wattage bulb to go on.

Oregon woman obsessed with rabbits arrested again

Problems for Sakewitz started in October 2006 when police in Hillsboro, about 15 miles west of Portland, found and confiscated nearly 250 rabbits in her home, including about 100 dead ones in freezers and refrigerators. Police said she broke into the facility where the survivors were being cared for in January 2007 and stole most of them back.
Sakewitz was sentenced in April 2007 to five years probation and was banned from owning or controlling animals. She also was told not to go within 100 yards of a rabbit.

see, you've got it pretty easy, you could have an uncontrollable rabbit obsession.

These trolls don't have an original thought amongst them, do they? If they aren't the same person, they must be part of a Borg-like collective. What they don't comprehend is that we are on to their jamming techniques (which means we feel no shame when they chastise us) and we don't care whether they ever come back (which means their threats to leave are met with great rejoicing).

So here's a tip, trolls--if you want to engage in a debate on the issues, feel free. There is no shortage of people here who are willing to engage you. But if you want to test out your Chi-Com brainwashing techniques on us, you came to the wrong place, because they don't work on people who recognize them from a mile away.

Finally, Bush speaks: Bashes Obama's socialism, pandering to terrorists and healthcare

"I know it's going to be the private sector that leads this country out of the current economic times we're in," the former president said to applause from members of a local business group. "You can spend your money better than the government can spend your money."

"I told you I'm not going to criticize my successor," he said. "I'll just tell you that there are people at Gitmo that will kill American people at a drop of a hat and I don't believe that -- persuasion isn't going to work. Therapy isn't going to cause terrorists to change their mind."

He said his administration sought to address the "housing bubble" before the system broke down. "We tried to reform" mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, "but couldn't get it through the vested interests on Capitol Hill."

But the former president got a big cheer when he walked out on stage -- even bigger than Joe Paterno, the legendary Penn State coach who was also on hand for the event. The former president noted that America has a funny political system: "You're it, then you're not it -- instantly."

Can Obama Win Back the Queer Community?

By Husky Bulldyky

In what initially looked like a big political payoff to the MSM and its cronies and supporters in the gay community, the White House put out word last night that President Obama will sign a “memo” today to extend benefits to same sex partners living in sin with federal workers. Early reports suggested those benefits would include the right to free nationalized health insurance funded by a new tax on the rich (peopled making over $25,000 a year), as well as past reparation damages of $500,000 per person for sexual-orientation discrimination, and a national gay marriage amendment to the Constitution, which, if true, would have gone a little ways in soothing some of the flaming tension, desire and lust between the White House and gay rights activists, who have accused Obama of breaking campaign promises to legislate preferential treatment for sodomizers, pedophiles and queers, among other constituents. But the president's move today likely won't be as far reaching as all of us had hoped.

While we still don’t know exactly what our Furher, excuse me, Dear Leader will sign—he’s scheduled to sign the memo and talk to adoring reporters at 5:45 this afternoon in the Rose Garden—it appears that whatever he does unfortunately won’t even go as far as providing measly health benefits. That’s because under the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, passed by that evil, bigoted, party of hate, conservative Republican controlled Congress, and foisted on the innocent President Slick Willie to sign probably during one of his rare moments of heterosexual weakness (with Monica), the federal government by law cannot provide health insurance to same sex partners. And that’s where it gets very touchy for queers and us, no pun intended. During the campaign, Obama, praise be his name, vowed to repeal DOMA, rightfully calling it “uumm, uhh, abhorrent” and “well, umm, uhh, you see, unfair.” (you go TOTUS!!!) But last week, that usual bastion of the rule of law, the Obama Justice Department, filed a legal brief in federal court defending DOMA against a hopefully successful and well-thought out lawsuit that claims the act is unconstitutional. What the hell were they thinking, actually trying to enforce the will of elected leaders before the promises made to us by the One!!! In fact, in legal terms, the Obama aides equated same sex marriage to incest, a move that absolutely shocked and horrified those of us in the media, and other gay rights groups including the Human Rights Campaign. Coupled with Obama’s silence on another campaign promise—his pledge to repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy in the military—several high-profile gay activists, with the full support of those of us in the MSM, sqwaked that they would boycott a DNC fundraiser scheduled for next week featuring Vice President Joe Biden and several prominent gay and lesbian members of Congress doing a dog and pony show, including the ever effeminite and inoffensive Bwarney’s Frank (D-Mass.) and the handsomely butchy Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.). All the deserved bad karma prompted the White House to schedule Osama’s (I mean Dear Leader Obama’s) announcement today, though an admenstration official courageously insisted to Newstweek that the “memo” had been in the works all along. We in the MSM knew our lord and savior wouldn’t let his gay comrades down.

Indeed, privately, White House aides have been looking for the love --giving the wink and nudge treatment to the gay community for weeks, saying with straight faces (no pun intended) that Obama still believes everything he said in the campaign but he’s had to deal with other pressing issues and more scrutiny in the polls from those sheeple that he duped into voting for him last year. (Btw, that sounds a lot like what Obama has said about the sacrament of abortion.) But is that enough to keep us and the LGBT community on board with Obama? It’s unclear, but what are our alternatives, we can’t exactly jump ship to become conservatives with normal habits, values and marriages. The reaction to Obama’s “memo” has been pretty lukewarm so far. HRC, in a statement, described it merely as a “first brick of a brick bathhouse” But everybody is watching very closely to see what Obama will actually say without the aid of TOTUS. Will he repeat his solemn vow to repeal DOMA in spite of last week's insipid legal brief? That's one hopeful rumor going around today, though White House aides won't comment. Meanwhile, Davey Mixituper, our MSM colleague and prominent gay rights activist who campaigned for Obama and is looking for payback, says he’s still “terwibbly huurt” going on a hunger strike, and boycotting the admenstration’s fisting fundraiser next week—unless he sees Obama bow down to HRC like he did to the Saudi prince and hears him say something “amazing” today. “I feel betwayed,” he told Newtweek in an interview this morning. “Sodomizers are really angry. We’re here, we’re queer, we’re powerful, and if we don’t get what we want, we’ll have a coming-out parade in Obama’s face at the West Wing with full coverage by our friends and allies in the MSM.” He said it’s not enough for Obama and his aides to hint that they’ll do more for the gay community in the future. “We heard that same malarky during the Clinton years,” Mixituper said. “Too many pwessing issues? Dear Leader’s full of baloney and its not mine. That’s code for never.”

Ima Fine Moron contributed reporting.

I read about this Letterman situation the other day, but the news here focused more on the seemingly forced response than on the faux pas itself. It seems much of the world beyond Palin-supporters viewed the scenario for what it was; a mediocre comedian making a bad joke about a politician the Republicans would do best to have left in the Alaskan wilderness.

These guys aren't realizing how foolish they make themselves look.

Posted by: Harris at June 18, 2009 9:15 PM

LOL!!!

Franken - that's a real 'winner' alright. And I can certainly understand why liberals absolutely adore the perverted little thief. Because, well, he's a perverted little thief! The type of person every liberal looks up to! And he is SO good looking, huh? And SMART! And Dignified! Why - that clip of him in his diaper with his legs spread - WOW! WHAT A MAN!!!! Pant-pant-pant. Maybe he'll get on the Armed Services Committee or something, huh? He could teach the boyths a thing or two, huh?

LOL!!!

Liberalism has always been the suicide/euthanasia ideology. The more dimwit dipshits like Franken, Bawny Fwank, Obama, Pelosi, “Marines are murderer’s” Murtha, and “Call me Senator, Dammit!” Boxer that liberals put in power proves that point more than any words I could ever come up with. Liberalism will completely kill itself within 10 years. Problem is, the silly little bastards want to take everyone else with them - vindictive asshats they are…

Smellstone - if you were a good little liberal you'd quit eating meat, quit using fossil fuels, quit wearing leather, turn off the lights, quit using all that power to run your computer, move into a mud hut, quit wasting water by bathing and drinking it, quit breathing out that nasty old CO2 (hold your breath), and board a row-boat to go out and save a whale. You go girl! No time to start like now!!!

Unless, of course, you're a hypocrite. And we ALL know you aren't a hypocite, huh?

Reap what you sow: Missile defenses deployed to Obama's (alleged) birth state of Hawaii to meet North Korean launch threat

The U.S. is moving ground-to-air missile defenses to Hawaii as tensions escalate between Washington and Pyongyang over North Korea's recent moves to restart its nuclear-weapon program and resume test-firing long-range missiles.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Thursday that the U.S. is concerned that Pyongyang might soon fire a missile toward Hawaii. Some senior U.S. officials expect a North Korean test by midsummer, even though most don't believe the missile would be capable of crossing the Pacific and reaching Hawaii.

[Unproven missile defense and smart power, eh, Mr President?]

What’s It All About, Barryyy?

“Curiouser and curiouser,” said Alice concerning what she was witnessing in her Wonderland. Taking Alice’s linguistic lead, I would have to say I’m “confuseder and confuseder” over what’s going on in Obamaland, formerly America.

Perhaps it’s my naïveté or just my ignorance showing but I really can’t believe all that’s gone on in five short months.Granted, I didn’t vote for the guy and I dislike his demeanor, his personality, and his arrogant obamatude, even as he bows and scrapes and apologizes for America to foreigners. I’ve had to try to re-think my feelings about my ongoing impressions of President Obama and what he’s doing to make sure I’m not reacting personally and that I’m at least trying to be objective.

After all, I didn’t vote for Carter or Clinton, either, but I never felt this gut fury that I feel toward Obama. (For the edification of the FBI, I’m not the violent type so please don’t come knocking at my door with guns blazing. I’ll probably be sleeping.)

Clinton was just a disturbed, prevaricating overachiever and Carter was patently and dangerously inept so maybe I just cut them some slack. The current guy isn’t just a disturbed, lying overachiever nor merely dangerously inept. He’s all of the above. Combined, that makes him a singular instance in the history of the presidency, and downright frightening.

Obama was already on record as The Man Who Will Go Down as the Multi-Trillion Dollar Deficit President who spread his tentacles throughout the land to socialize American industries and nationalize the banking sector unto himself.

He is the president who announced his intent to dictate pay levels for employees of American corporations and render them supplicants of Barney Frank and the tender mercies of the federal bureaucracy.

He is the president who is crusading to deprive Americans of their right to keep and bear ammunition, thereby make their constitutional right to keep and bear arms farcical.

He is the president who is in process of anointing ACORN and its Obama-worshippers/vote-fixers as American equivalents of Oliver Cromwell who will repress White American dissidents as brutally as Cromwell destroyed the Irish.

Consider a few of his most recent statements and actions and those of his minions who are nothing more than his functionaries. All are engaged in unprecedented, national power-grabbing, transparent efforts to alter our system of government and our national defense. Some things have to be transparent with this increasingly-opaque regime.

As President Obama said to his Hollywood lackeys, “You ain’t seen nothin’, yet.” I fear we haven’t.

The IG Capers: All chief executives are entitled to appoint their own people for significant and insignificant positions in their administrations.

However, Obama has gone beyond simply appointing tax cheats and other disreputables. He tipped his repressive hand by removing all semblance of checks and balances on the executive branch by firing anyone who dares to show some courage by exposing corruption. You may stay on the payroll, was the intimation, as long as you don’t out me and my comrades.

First was Gerald Walpin, the highly regarded and eminently qualified Inspector General with purview over AmeriCorps, who was dismissed for what Obama called being “confused” and “disoriented.” Coincidentally, this followed Walpin’s investigation and allegations of improprieties against an Obama supporter, Kevin Johnson: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/chi-tc-nw-inspectors-0617-0618jun18,0,5718990.story.

Not content with firing Walpin, Obama, acting in defiance of the law mandating 30 days notice of such firings, engaged in character assassination with his comments, which made no reference to Lady MacBeth’s Michelle’s interest and involvement with AmeriCorps: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/06/16/obama-accuses-fired-inspector-general-americorps-confused-disoriented/.

If nothing smelled rotten in the State of Obama at that point, subsequent developments did. The acting IG of the International Trade Commission, Judith Gwynne, was sent packing as was the vaunted watchdog of the trillion dollar bank bailout, Neil Barofsky, when he too got too nosey.

Curiouser and confuseder.

The ABC Caper: The American Broadcasting Network earlier this week announced it will be relocating on June 24th to the friendly confines of the Obama White House to stage a one-sided “news” presentation of Obama’s health plan. Better labelled the Obama News Network, it followed up that announcement, after protests that dissenting opinions were being crushed by the OBN, by obstinately refusing to air even a paid 60 second opposition viewpoint.

The group Conservatives for Patients Rights request for a one-minute spot to was rejected by OBN.

In a statement objecting to OBN’s decision, Rick Scott, chairman of the aptly acronymed CPR, said, “Health care is an issue that touches every American and all potential pieces of legislation have carried a pricetag in excess of $1 trillion of taxpayers’ money. The American people deserve a healthy, robust debate on this issue: “http://drudgereport.com/flashaot1.htm.

There shalt not be any robust debate, in fact no debate at all. The CPR request sounded very reasonable to me but when you’re hell-bent on forcing another unpalatable trillion dollar bill down America’s throat, apparently censorship takes precedence over reasonable.

Harry and Louise, we need you to help stop this Thelma and Louise suicidal ride off a cliff with the mad hatter at the wheel! . . .

"It seems much of the world beyond Palin-supporters viewed the scenario for what it was; a mediocre comedian making a bad joke about a politician the Republicans would do best to have left in the Alaskan wilderness"

No, fuckwit. It was a bad joke about made by a lecherous old man about a 14 year old girl's sexual habits as a cowardly and snide way of attacking her mother.

And another thing, leftists: your repeated claims that Palin is an irrelevance and not a threat to you would be more convincing if you didn't descend in droves on every single thread on every single conservative blog every time her name is mentioned. Or continually bring her up for no fucking reason whatever in threads that have nothing to do with her (like in this thread).

O Mourto Che Pparla,

Get over yourself. Your feigned outrage over Letterman's jokes is ridiculous at best. But do keep it up. As the Republican party dies something better will take its place.

Posted by: Harris at June 19, 2009 1:55 AM

Here's the youtube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMmKMX44gWk

Letterman just says "her daughter", nothing about which one it was. It's a stretch to assert that he specifically meant her 14 year old daughter. This is clearly a case of manufacturing something to be offended by.

Pathetic.

Posted by: Harris at June 19, 2009 2:08 AM

Yeah, obviously the outrage is feigned. I mean, what decent gets angry because a 61 year old creep calls a woman's daughter a whore?

I see Harris and the others are still defending the moral low ground that it's okay to slam a politician by attacking her kids. Way to go, guys. Keep up the good fight.

Posted by: V the K at June 19, 2009 4:42 AM

Harris, what Letterman said would be offensive to any female regardless of age. You act like the fact that he is essentially snickering about Bristol (who is only 18) being a slut and a prostitute makes his comments innocuous. I think they are particularly offensive because I'm sure that Bristol has a lot of regrets about sleeping with that doofus ex-boyfriend of hers, and painting her as "easy" on National TV is a very cruel thing to do to a young girl who made an error in judgment with ONE guy.

Posted by: Judith M. at June 19, 2009 4:52 AM

Harris and Lecherman's defense amounts to, "He meant to call the other girl a slut, which makes it okay."

Like I said, defending the moral ground. Tou either think it's wrong to slam a politician by attacking her kids, or you don't.

And Lecherman... who knocked up his baby-momma out-of-wedlock at the age of 58 ... especially has no room to be critical.

Posted by: V the K at June 19, 2009 5:22 AM

Also, let me say it again: Sarah Palin dealt with her difficult personal situations with grace, dignity, compassion, and respect for life. The people attacking her have none of those qualities.

Posted by: V the K at June 19, 2009 5:24 AM

"And Lecherman... who knocked up his baby-momma out-of-wedlock at the age of 58 ... especially has no room to be critical."

That is ironic, isn't it?

Posted by: Judith M. at June 19, 2009 5:37 AM

Judith, more than ironic ... I tend to think a middle-aged New York sophisticate who knocks up a horse-faced groupie out of wedlock is a bigger joke than an attractive teenage girl who gets pregnant by a hot teenage hockey stud she thinks she's in love with.

Posted by: V the K at June 19, 2009 5:43 AM

What's really telling about Lecherman's insults to Governor Palin and her family is the fact that the Letterman-Loving Lying Loopy Loony Lemming-Like Leftist Liberal Losers JUST WILL NOT LET IT GO.

The Ghost of Flintstone, Warmnubwhacker, Neil Patrick Harris, and Anonymous (the poster formerly known as "Moon bat") have had their butts handed to them numerous times on this subject, yet they keep coming.....like some kind of Eastern Bloc / ChiCom human wave attack.

On this thread they're trying again!

As the saying goes, "Insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result"

Posted by: TonyD95B at June 19, 2009 5:48 AM

Id love to see the reaction if such a joke is made about Obamas daughters (even when they reach age 18 and Obama is nothing but a talking head on the speaking circuit) about how black women get knocked up and abort babies more often than Joe Biden sticks his foot in his mouth and Obamas kids are sure to follow.

Posted by: Anonymous at June 19, 2009 6:01 AM

Posted by: Harris at June 19, 2009 1:55 AM

No, fuckwit. Palin has been viciously and relentlessly attacked ever since her nomination with a venom surprising even for leftists. If conservatives were going to manufacture phony outrage, they would have done it months ago.

You may see nothing wrong with elderly lecher making obscene sexual jokes about teenagers in front of an audience of shrieking sycophants just to attack her mother, but I assure you decent people find the public sexual debasement of underage girls genuinely offensive.

Posted by: O Muorto Che Pparla at June 19, 2009 6:44 AM

Tony, don't the libs remind you a little of the Black Knight from that Monty Python skit? King Arthur cuts his limbs off one by one and he keeps denying he's been wounded! Every time King Arthur cuts off if his limbs, he brushes it off by saying something like "I've had worse." or "It's only a flesh wound." That skit still makes me laugh.

Posted by: Judith M. at June 19, 2009 6:44 AM

Look around lady, its this site that doesn't have a leg left to stand on and still throwing out bile and itching for a fight.

Posted by: Anonymous at June 19, 2009 2:57 PM

Take your heat and fear and venom and spew them elsewhere.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 19, 2009 4:27 PM

Sticking with the same Monty Python metaphor Jay. If there's any hate and fear involved, look back to the source. Although I don't see any.

Your response to any disagreement of late is to call "hate and fear" ... you're starting to sound a lot like the caricature of liberals you are always preaching about on here.

Posted by: Anonymous at June 19, 2009 4:39 PM

More hate and fear. Grow up. There's a whole world out there, a world beyond mom's basement. You won't do well in it, but it's best you try.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 19, 2009 6:34 PM

Jay Guevara--- It is really cool you took a baby killers name and used it as your Moonbattery pseudonym. So was he cool then? Che? Cool enough to use his likeness for your own? Not that clever and pretty unoriginal.

Posted by: paget at June 20, 2009 8:48 AM

Again with the mom's basement. You folks know A LOT about it apparently.

Again, there's not even one thing hateful or fearful in what I've written. Its your silly and not very useful tactic to shut people up. (Oh, in addition to asking Van to censor posts, let's not forget that one!)

Censorship is at the heart of hate and fear. And someone might say too that "grow up" is advice you'd be well advised to take yourself.

Jay "blue collar" Guevara.
