Well, this is an Open Thread. The flag reminds me that this Sunday, June 14th, is Flag Day. I'm sure William Ayers will celebrate it in his usual fine moonbatty way: stomping on Old Glory in an alley way.

Perhaps Jimbo out there in Hawaii can relate to this: Several years ago, I was playing tourist in Honolulu at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific also known as Punchbowl National Cemetery. It was on Flag Day, and the road up to the "Punchbowl" was lined with hundreds of American flags on both sides of the roadway. It was a memorable day, to say the least. The cemetery's namesake comes from its location in a crater of an extinct volcano. Among the notable people interments are Ellison Onazuka who died in the first space shuttle tragedy, Hank Jensen who was one of the Iwo Jima flag raisers and Ernie Pyle who was a veteran of WWI and a WWII correspondent. He worked as a "typewriter soldier" reporting the news to people "back home in the states." He was a correspondent, not an "embedded journalist" with an agenda. He was killed during the battle of Okinawa. Stanley Dunham, maternal grandfather of Chairman Teleprompter is buried there as well. Ironic, ain't it?

Abortionists must have all had lobotomies.

", Dr. Warren Hern, of Boulder, Colo., called on President Barack Obama to go on national television and demand that anti-abortion violence and terrorism stop.

"It is exactly the same as the Taliban, but the Taliban is 8,000 miles away and the Taliban is too civilized to assassinate people in mosques," said Hern, one of the few remaining doctors in the country who performs late-term abortions."

I guess he doesnt know that radical Muslims routinely set off car bombs and shoot up mosques.

"Hundreds of Pakistanis angry over a mosque bomb attack have banded together to attack Taliban strongholds in a troubled northwest region, killing at least four militants.

Some 400 villagers from Upper Dir district's Haya Gai area, where a suicide bomber killed 33 worshippers at a mosque on Friday, formed a militia and attacked five villages in the neighbouring Dhok Darra area, said Atif-ur-Rehman, the district coordination officer."

FROM "THE SAND PEBBLES" MOVIE SITE:

...Lt. Collins' Flag Day Speech...

Today we begin cruising to show the flag on Tungting Lake and the Hunan Rivers.
I want all honors rendered smartly.

At home in America, when today reaches them it will be Flag Day. For us who
wear the uniform every day is Flag Day.

It is said that there will be no more wars. We must pretend to believe that.
But when war comes, it is we who will take the first shock, and buy time with
our lives. It is we who keep the Faith...

We serve the Flag. The trade we all follow is the give and take of death.
It is for that purpose that the people of America maintain us. And anyone of
us who believes he has a job like any other, for which he draws a money wage,
is a thief of the food he eats, and a trespasser in the bunk in which he lies
down to sleep.
......................

Althogh the movie focused on Steve McQueen's character, Richard Crenna's Lt. Collins was the REAL hero in my humble oppinion.

Various Perversions

The poor will always be with us, spoke Jesus Christ. Literally, He said, “You always have the poor with you,” (Matthew 26:11), though the meaning is the same. If Christ lived in 2009 A.D., He might add, “And perverts will always be with you, too!” The meaning and truth of that pronouncement would be evident to anyone who reads newspapers.

Perversion is defined as any sexual act considered abnormal but nowadays precisely what constitutes “abnormal” is sometimes disputed. Likewise, that definition could be stretched to incorporate any forms of depravity. Four examples of perversions follow:

Procreative Perversion: A guy who perhaps does not technically-qualify for the appellation of pervert but who has to be damned close is Desmond Hatchett. Mr. Hatchett is not shy about admitting that he has fathered some 20 or 21 kids which in itself may not be that exceptional, even if he is a gross exemplar of population pollution and more representative of Arab sheiks than his fellow lotharios in Knoxville, TN.

What distinguishes him more is his relatively brief lifespan of 29 years and the fact he boasts of impregnating at least 11 different females and of begetting 4 kids within the same year–twice: http://www.volunteertv.com/home/headlines/45871127.html.

Hatchett brings to mind the admonition of either Groucho Marx or W.C. Fields, (the ascription is debated), that, “I love my cigar too but I take it out once in a while.” It also brings to mind the thought that since Mr. Hatchett works a minimum-wage job and currently resides in jail for failure to pay child support the state of Tennessee should consider a hatchet to deal with Hatchett’s insatiable proclivities. The Volunteer State will be paying to raise his brood.

It should also be noted that none of the mothers objected to his multiple feats of propagation but some did object that they will be receiving $1.98 a month from Mr. Hatchett’s largesse.

Parading Perversion: Less ambiguously perverted is state-sponsored corruption of children. Desmond Hatchett apparently indulged his appetites with willing accomplices. The State of Massachusetts was accomplice to the corruption of kids during its annual May “Youth Pride Parade,” a euphemism for “Encouraging Children to Become Queers Parade.”

Anyone who knows teenagers and, especially those who have reared them, knows that teens are by nature a confused group. Confusion and indecision come with the teen territory. So where else can homosexuals, the GLBT bunch, find greener pastures and green recruits than among teenagers? And how better to attract participants and an audience than with a parade arranged and financed by the generous taxpayers of the Commonwealth of Barney Frank’s Massachusetts?

Everyone loves a parade and with a little encouragement, gays know they can get 12, 13, 14, and 15 year olds to march and to chant virtually anything, and they succeeded, admirably. See the results of their success here: http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/09b/youth_pride/parade.html.

The kids, with gay and lesbian adults on hand to shepherd and guide them, strutted their stuff past the State House after gathering for speeches and “entertainment” on the Boston Common, formerly pasture land, staging area for British troops, and site of public hangings.

Chanting, among other things, “We’re here, we’re queer, get used to it,” the kids–some as young as 12–would have a special treat that evening: “A Transgender Prom” held at Boston’s City Hall.

As MassResistance.com says, “It’s chilling.” And it is. Very.

Promenading Perversion: Along those same lines is an effort to distort language for the purpose of distorting and confusing gender identification with an end result of perversion.

Ever hear of a “cyning?” It’s the Anglo-Saxon, Old English word for “king,” which is much different from a “queen,” except in the GLBT lexicon and in some American high schools, including Los Angeles’ Fairfax High School where students elected a flaming gay (male) as “Prom Queen:” http://news.aol.com/weird-news/article/gay-male-teen-prom-queen/502830?icid=main|htmlws-main|dl6|link5|http%3A%2F%2Fnews.aol.com%2Fweird-news%2Farticle%2Fgay-male-teen-prom-queen%2F502830.

Hey! Queen, King? What’s the diff, said some students. “It just goes to show how open-minded our class is,” Senior Class President Vanessa Lo proudly asserted.

Seventeen-year-old Unique Payne called the queen’s speech “great” and said she voted for Garcia “because I support the gay community.” Other students weren’t as happy, and suggested many voted for [Sergio] Garcia just to see the spectacle of two boys dancing together at the prom. “I’m not really happy about that,” said 17-year-old Juan Espinoza. “He should’ve run for prom king.”

As for Sergio, he reassuringly said, “I will be wearing a suit. But don’t be fooled, deep down I am a queen.” In other words, he wants it made ineluctably clear that his male garb will not in any way imply he is a male. Simply because he may be donning a tiara should not imply that he is a female either. Precisely what Sergio is is debatable.

Who knows? Depending on how ambitious Sergio is and on how many fellow teens join him in his suicidal, gay adventure, next year maybe he will join the open-minded students of Fairfax, traverse the country, and join the revelers at Boston’s “Youth Pride Parade” and “Transgender Prom.”

What a blast that would be!

Check out the website first, there are some great deleted scenes.

The Patton speach was a conglomeration of his writings, letters and a few speaches he did make. George C. Scott didn't want it at the begining of the movie, because he thought it would over-power anything that came after it!

I once saw a newsreel of Patton giving a post-war speach in San Francisco, the general's voice was higher and not as "gravely" as Scott's.

Rape, Abortion, and Bonnie Erbe' Part One

Let’s face it: Anyone with a computer can get “published” today, even the present writer. That reality of internet life makes it critical to establish the credentials of the person or persons who author articles read on the web before buying into his or her philosophies and theses.

With that in mind, I felt it judicious to delve into the world of Bonnie Erbe’ after reading her provocatively-titled piece, “Abortion Is Not a Tragedy,” http://www.scrippsnews.com/node/42197. One thing I discovered was that Ms. Bonnie is anything but “bonnie.”

For those such as I who must live sheltered existences and who are ignorant of who Ms. Erbe’ is, here’s the straight poop on her curriculum vitae: Aged 56, though her available photos such as this lop off at least 10 of her years, Erbe’ is a NYC-born graduate of Barnard College, (1974), Columbia (M.S. in journalism, 1975), and Georgetown Law (1987).

She is described by Wikipedia as “an American journalist and television host based in the Washington, D.C. area who has covered national politics since 1975,” which means, pretty impressively, that she has been so covering since she was 22.

Wikipedia goes on to say that Erbe’ is host and Chief Exec of the PBS program, “To the Contrary,” is a contributing (blog) editor at US News and World Report, and, oddly, serves as advisor to an immigration reduction organization, The Federation for American Immigration Reform.

Again, pretty impressive even if that’s the extent of Erbe’s Wikipedia entry. Further research turns up other interesting details about Erbe’, including the factoid that her PBS show is the first in the nation to exclusively feature women discussing the news: http://www.pbs.org/ttc/about_host.html.

As they say, the plot, Erbe’s pro-abortion plot, thickens.

For those not Playboy aficionados as I was up to 30 years ago, (I read it for the articles!), when I caught my 5 year old son thumbing through its pages whilst sitting on the potty and I was forced by discretion and my wife to cancel my subscription, that much-changed publication recently ran an online article on who deserved to be raped.. . .

Rape, Abortion, and Bonnie Erbe'--Part Two

Part One of this very mini series dealt primarily with the necessity of verifying sources before one believes anything read on the internet. Another focus was Ms. Bonnie Erbe’s background and studied indifference as to the recent Playboy filth promoting the “hate-f***ing” of a number of prominent conservative women: http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=1048.

Erbe’ is relatively prominent herself and I was attempting to determine what makes her tick in light of the view expressed in her article, published by ScrippsNews.com, that “Abortion Is Not a Tragedy.”

Her non-reaction to the Playboy piece went a long way in clarifying her ticking.

She argued in “Abortion Is Not a Tragedy” that America’s current hard economic times are driving women to abortionists as they try to make do with less money. As with “hate-f***ing” (conservative) women, Erbe’ adopts a blase’ attitude of, “So what!” or, as she writes, “The media have also been rife with stories portraying this trend as something of a tragedy. Let me propose a counter view: it is not.”

She supports her counter-proposal by offering the example of an unwed mother of three whose live-in significant other had lost his job. The mother had weighed all her options and decided to abort her fourth child: ”It’s actually a fact-based, rational decision that in the end benefits the three children they already have and society as well. . . It’s no tragedy: it’s a good decision.”

Erbe’ is a perfect representative of a liberal moral relativist, an obtuse, ignorant relativist, suggesting as she does that since times are tough and babies are expensive, why not just kill Number Four and all will be good for that mom, her boyfriend, and their progeny? After all, then the loving couple will be better able to tend to their brood and will be less likely to have “to rely on scarce public resources to raise their children.”

What an awesome perspective!

She goes on to say, based on something or other, that, “Abortion was not viewed as a tragic event in the early days after the Supreme Court handed down its Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion on a national scale.” The tragic essence of murdering a pre-born human being only gained tragic status after “the poster child” for pro-life, and the “Roe” in Roe v. Wade, became an advocate for life.

To make things even worse, ”the media [has] become a trumpet for the pro-life message that abortion is always a tragedy.”

I understand Bonnie Erbe’ was born in New York City but on which planet she now resides is something of a mystery. I have a slew of questions for her which, depending on her responses, will help establish whether she is or ever has been a bonafide Earthling:. . .

Moonbattery.com and the Homosexualization of America’s Kids

Stealing is a violation of the Seventh Commandment, not the Seventh Suggestion, so I would prefer to characterize the following as “borrowing.”

I borrowed what follows from one of the most flagrant violators of Political Correctness on the
Internet, Moonbattery.com, which consistently and effectively pokes its web-fingers into the sticky, infected eyeballs of America’s corrupt, liberal establishment, putting them on notice that some Americans are watching them, taking copious notes, and publicizing their public and, more sinister, their private machinations to undermine American morals and society.

The fact that the thinking and points of view published on Moonbattery.com largely coincide with my own is not the only reason for my tooting their horn.

I have to concede that what its editor, Van Helsing, accomplishes on his website, makes me envious, although with my staff of one, moi, my task is more challenging and my approach to the same issues is a tad different.

With that, [skip to the end if you already read it], Van Helsing’s latest expose’ of how Obama is attempting to homosexualize our youth, and destroy our heritage and future, just one more effort of our president’s effort to give us “change:”

"June 8, 2009

Obama Picks Militant Pervert Kevin Jennings for Key Education PostVladimir Lenin said, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

Four years is how long Comrade Obama has, and he isn’t going to waste a single day–as made clear by his appointment of militant pervert Kevin Jennings as Assistant Deputy Secretary, Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools: Kevin Jennings is the founder and former executive director of the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization that works to make schools safe for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Translated from bureaucratese, the above reads: Jennings founded a fanatical cult devoted to imposing homosexual depravity on small children.

“Safe” schools are schools in which homosexuality is aggressively promoted, as by GLSEN’s “Day of Silence” celebrations.

In bold on Jennings’ resume is his organization’s role in the Fistgate Incident: On March 25, 2000, GLSEN put on a conference called “TeachOut” for kids across and public school teachers across Massachusetts. This conference was co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Education. At this conference children as young as 12 years old were taught by state employees how to engage in various extremely dangerous (and disgusting) homosexual sex acts.

Here’s an example of what the kids were taught by bureaucrats on your dime, thanks to Jennings and his fellow activists: Fisting [forcing one’s entire hand into another person’s rectum or vagina] often gets a bad rap. . . .[It’s] an experience of letting somebody into your body that you want to be that close and intimate with… [and] to put you into an exploratory mode.

Comrade Obama has said that sexual indoctrination should start in kindergarten — and GLSEN agrees: GLSEN activist and New York kindergarten teacher Jaki Williams said starting in kindergarten is a must, since children at that age are still developing their ideas about the world around them. Even at that age, she said, “the saturation process needs to begin.”

Williams, in fact, is a model teacher when it comes to this “saturation” process. She regularly initiates conversations with her children by reading to them such controversial books as Heather Has Two Mommies, Daddy’s Roommate, and One Dad, Two Dads, Browns Dads, Blue Dads. She also hosts a viewing of the video, Both of My Moms’ Names Are Judy: Children of Lesbians and Gays Speak Out, produced by a San Francisco pro-homosexual advocacy group.

According to one writer for The Lambda Report, who infiltrated a 1997 GLSEN workshop, one former teacher admitted that changing the mind of a child required more than a one-time effort. She said she had to expose her children to a constant stream of homosexual words and images, because “It’s really a conditioning process.”

Here’s what Jennings has to say about those of us who respect traditional values: We have to quit being afraid of the religious right. We also have to quit–I’m trying to find a way to say this. I’m trying not to say, ‘[F—] ‘em!’ which is what I want to say, because I don’t care what they think! [audience laughter] Drop dead!

Brainwashing small children into accepting this freak’s viewpoint is what Obamunists had in mind when they promised their two-bit messiah would unite us.

Hat tips: The Conservative Dominion, PC Free Zone, Atlas Shrugs, Cao’s Blog."

Our three kids are long out of the nest and straight as arrows. I’m glad as hell that I don’t have to deal with protecting them from today’s queers at the gate. I pity the parents who do and I pity mostly those parents who are oblivious of the sickness on their doorstep. I also commend Van Helsing’s efforts to wake them up.

Also note AP's neat spin, in which a drop of five percentage points is evidence of something "[not having] changed much."

MAJOR VOMIT ALERT!!!!

This, I think, is literally the most repulsive tonguebath I have ever seen from a media outlet, bar none:

France gets its Obama moment
By ELAINE GANLEY and JENNY BARCHFIELD, Associated Press Writers Elaine Ganley And Jenny Barchfield, Associated Press Writers – Sun Jun 7, 1:49 pm ET

Excerpts:

PARIS – People gawked and cameras clicked as the Obamas cut a wide figure through the French capital even while confined to a presidential motorcade. It was more personal for the few kept not so distant — the restaurant owner who "saw God," the chauffeur reveling in a "magnificent mission."

President Barack Obama, wife Michelle and their two daughters touched lives in simple ways during a private stay in the French capital that closed out a six-day presidential tour rich in history, symbolism and giant messages to the world.

----

Media scrutiny of the family was intense. The French are confirmed fans of the Obamas, whose politics and elegant style conform to their ideal vision of the United States. Michelle Obama, whose wardrobe choices are analyzed, gets an A-plus for sartorial glamor, natural poise and sheer intelligence.

(Bolded for wicked unintentional irony)
-------
"I saw God before me," he said, "because I saw this smile that a million people have seen around the world. I saw her (Michelle) radiant. ... It's idiotic, but it's like that."

And it just goes on like that. And on. And on, and on.

Good grief. I think I need a shower.

Al Sharpton, the Race Pimp. The students at that high school are black. If there were any white kids at all, of course, Al Sharpton wouldn't give a damn. He even says he's going to make it "another Jena 6." Why? No crimes were committed at that school? What the heck does it have to do with Jena 6?
