Microsoft's Ballmer Responds to Obama's Looting Plans
If Comrade Obama's plans to tighten the screws on corporations by going after their foreign earnings result in higher unemployment and a lower Dow Jones, no one can say we weren't warned.
Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Officer Steven Ballmer said the world's largest software company would move some employees offshore if Congress enacts President Barack Obama's plans to impose higher taxes on U.S. companies' foreign profits.
"It makes U.S. jobs more expensive," Ballmer said in an interview. "We're better off taking lots of people and moving them out of the U.S. as opposed to keeping them inside the U.S." …
Ballmer estimated that higher taxes under [the Moonbat Messiah's latest looting] proposal would reduce profits for companies that comprise the Dow Jones Industrial Average by between 10 and 15 percentage points.
"It's just a question of how much will the Dow come down," Ballmer said. "It's not about companies anyway; we're talking about shareholders."
Just as the moonbats running California have put the state into an economic death spiral by driving out business with extravagantly greedy taxation, Hopey Change will eventually chase American corporations to less business-hostile countries like Ireland or Bermuda. But that's okay; Chairman Zero can always raise taxes some more on those of us who don't have the resources to escape.

On a tip from Matt R.

Expect Microsoft's capitalistic treachery to be dealt with by means of a government decree making long-haired software communism guru Richard Stallman's vision obligatory.
There's that irony again: A lot of people accustomed to calling Microsoft "evil empire" (and feeling themselves hip, cool, freethinking rebels for having installed Ubuntu on their 'puters) will see what that term really means. What it meant when properly used, by the sadly deceased President (deserving of that capital P) who used it appropriately, and without whose free market policies America would never have turned out the hi-tech powerhouse it did.
Ronaldus Maximus, of course. Sigh, even just writing the name makes me grieve the loss.

The US has the highest or second highest corporate tax burden in the US, and Chairman "Not a Socialist" Zero wants to jack it even higher. Even Sweden has lower corporate taxes than the USA. Is this any way to be competitive in a Global economy?

I wonder how much MS donated to elect Obama. In this case they actually did vote against their own interests, unlike that mantra being used after Bush was re-elected. So I sort of chuckle at the liberal mentality of choosing elected officials as if they were calling in votes for American Idol. Once unemployment rises in Redmond we can say "too bad, this is what all you wizards voted for. Isn't Obama wonderful?"

Loot profits, install incompetant leadership, force businesses to keep producing at a loss, blame previous leaders, make quitting a crime, spread wealth among the 'oppressed', distroy any opposition, play down genuine threats, overemphasize imagined threats, party like it's 1999, twist truth in your favor, mezmorize the masses.
You would think they would need to have all this planned out in advance. Oh wait...

They could just move the whole company to India or some other country that is currently offering tax breaks. I keep seeing ads for Macedonia (I had no idea it was actually a seperate country!) that has 10 year tax deals 0-5% rates.

Whatever industry the tax on Off Shore profits doesn't run out of the US, the "Value Added Tax" will succeed in doing so. It's all a part of the plan to bring America and it's citizens down to size.

It is a liberal-generated myth that corporations are conservative. In fact, they represent some of the most entrenched liberal organizations in the country. They donate to liberal organizations and campaigns much more than would be expected given that liberal governments increase their taxes. However, liberal governments also destroy small business competition and in the long view, that's an advantage to the bottom line.
Republicans don't really care what a corporation's politics are, but liberals are very, very interested since a corporation can be bled. Therefore, corporations become enthusiastic about affirmative action and diversity training and other such stupidity bc it helps their liberal credentials and heightens their compliance visibility to the political class.
Like payoffs to Al Sharpton and J Jackson, this is just is the cost of doing business.
It becomes a lot more expensive to be a conservative corporation since that requires resistance and not always being a "good citizen".
