Media Erases Chairman Zero's Single-Payer Slip
"I'll be honest," Obama lied. "There are countries where a single-payer system works pretty well."
You'll find this line in the official transcript of Chairman Zero's speech to the AMA, but not in any major newspapers. CNS News reports:
A search of the the terms "Obama," "single-payer," and "pretty well" in the "Major Newspapers" file of Nexis turned up no hits as of 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16.
Several papers took quotes from immediately before and after, but the single-payer line was expunged. You see, we are supposed to believe that "healthcare reform" is not the same thing as "single-payer" healthcare, which is a euphemism for government seizure of the entire industry.
How convenient for Comrade Obama that when he lets slip what anyone paying attention knows he's really up to, his toadies in the media immediately erase the mistake, like Winston Smith stuffing politically inconvenient documents down the memory hole.

On a tip from Darrel.

Just like the NYT conveniently expunged David Lecherman's offensive "jokes" about Sarah Palin's daughters.

the Daily News NY the day after the speech said it went over pretty good, and completely omitted the fact that the doctors boooooooooood

Bam Bam fired another Inspector General, and has harassed a third. Will Wellstoned and Braindead admit that this guy might not be as great as they think he is yet? If not, what will it take?

The waiting period for heart surgery in New Zealand: 64 Days.
Socialism is hazardous to your health.

“Improving all cardiovascular outcomes for Maori is an urgent health priority for this nation” said Mrs Turia.
“In the 45-64 year age group, rates of hospital admissions for Maori men and women with heart failure are more than seven times that of non-Maori”.
So IOWs, New Zealand's socialized medicine program has failed to bring equal outcomes based on race and has simultaneously reduced the level of care for everyone by more than doubling wait times for critical surgery. Where do we sign up?
Posted by: Judith M. at June 18, 2009 9:12 AM
You won't have to sign up Judith, it is going to be mandated by That One.

convenient, how that line went missing there.

I love Obama's Il Duce impression.

Great catch.
If anyone has any doubt that BO isn't a national socialist, they need only wait till he speaks without a teleprompter.

The whole rotten mess is the messiah's diabolical plan to save social security and medicare. Lots of dead people don't need checks and medicare anymore. Unless those checks get mailed to a certain former funeral parlor in New Orleans.....
I'm only half joking here.

"I love Obama's Il Duce impression."
He thinks he's got us all over a barrel.

He does look like Il Duce, doesn't he? Do you think a tendency toward fascism is a genetic defect?
Posted by: Judith M. at June 18, 2009 12:13 PM
No, but I think narcissism might be.
Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 18, 2009 12:22 PM
Funny that you mention that Jay, because it seems like there may be a correlation between narcissism and fascism based on the limited sample we have to study. I wonder if that's because you have to think you're pretty special to be qualified to tell everyone else what to do.

Hey, wait a second. That sounds like most of the Liberals and Progressives I've ever known.
That list very much reminds me of the profile of the criminally insane - people who revel in criminal behavior. There was a good book on exactly this subject, the personality of criminals, Inside the Criminal Mind by Dr. Stanton Samenow. A very good read and I think relevant in this case.

V the K: DSM-IV criteria--That list also reminds me of Paul Newmman's character in the movie "Hud." I wonder if The One would be available for a re-make, along about January 20, 2013. Pencil it in, better yet use a Sharpie marker.
