Keith Olbermann: Far Below Mark Sanford
Pretty much everyone is disgusted with Mark Sanford's appalling weakness and irresponsibility. But the disgraced governor has a long way to go before he hits bottom. At least Sanford was in love with his mistress, in contrast to Bill Clinton, who has always been known to chase anything in a skirt with no more affection than a dog smelling a bitch in heat. To get an idea of just how deep the bottom is, here's Keith Olbermann, smirking and snickering over heartfelt love letters as he reads Sanford's private emails on national television (no need to watch more than you can stomach):
For the first time ever, I agree with someone at Daily Kos:
Keith Olbermann, he who likes to give out the worst person in the world award, has just garnered the prize from me for the biggest piece of crap in the world. …
As I listened to him sarcastically reading the e-mails written between Sanford and his mistress, correspondence I sure they both believed would stay private, I kept imagining Olbermann as that pervert in a dirty movie studio choking his chicken underneath his trenchcoat. A couple of times I was certain he was going to ejaculate and his laugh became grotesque bordering on acrid. … Olbermann began his attack on the most vile and disgusting parts of this heartbreaking saga and it went downhill from there. There are four little boys who bear no responsibility for what happened and they have to go to school tomorrow and face their friends. … To see him do things that would brutalize this family and get apparent sexual pleasure out of it might have been one of the most disgusting things I have ever witnessed.
Being from the Daily Kos, this was of course interspersed with bizarrely incongruous digs at Rush Limbaugh and Dick Cheney.
What's this? It seems Olbermann has romantic issues too:
A brown-haired beauty who claims she had an unsatisfying one-night stand with Keith Olbermann is getting her sweet revenge — she's launched a blog to warn other women about the acerbic MSNBC commentator's boorish bedroom habits.
The bitter babe, who calls herself KarmaBites1, says she doesn't want others "to fall into the same trap … and I want him to feel some remorse for what he's done … He sets his mind on a woman, lures her in, and once he gets what he wants, he refuses to ever speak to them again. And I don't think he understands the damage he's caused."
A 30-something office worker of Caribbean descent, KarmaBites1 said she struck up an e-mail friendship with Olbermann, whom she admired, and agreed to fly to New York to meet him last May. She says he came to her hotel room and opened a bottle of Merlot which he "spilled all over." Then, when "sexual activity began [in] less than an hour," Olbermann had difficulty. "I pretended he knew what he was doing," the embittered blogger writes. "I adored the guy. I didn't want him to think he was a dud in bed," so she faked experiencing ecstasy.
Next, he piled on excuses as to why he had to leave. … Six days later, she claims, Olbermann e-mailed her to tell her never to contact him again.
Compared with Olbermann, Mark Sanford is a prince.

That sure would be funny if all Olberman's "conquests" started making contributions to her blog. You have to wonder about why any woman would find Olberman attractive, though.

Olberman's one-night-stand was probably turned off by Keith's guttural "oh-oh-oh-OBAMA!!!" gruntings during the brief encounter.

Why did I watch it?
I need a shower now...

So, it turns out that Olbie's huffing and puffing is compensation for something. Somehow I knew it, but to see the one-night stand's post says much about him.

"no need to watch more than you can stomach"... that means I will not watch any of it. I hate that self loving prick.
Posted by: Jenn at June 25, 2009 9:31 PM
No way I'm watching even a second of the clip.
He is, hands down, the most disgusting "man" alive.
He (and similar losers) is why there are so many lesbians.
Someday, sometime, somewhere, he's going to wander into the wrong place at the right time - someone will recognize him and kick his butt. He probably knows that and sticks to the Porn Belt states. If he walked into the Big Texan Steak House in Amarillo (or any place in any "fly-over" state) he would leave in an ambulance.
It must suck to be him. But there's lot's like him - Michael Moron comes to mind. There are lots of folks who are too stupid and have such big mouths they are imprisoned in the Homo-districts of big cities - to venture out means a certain bloody nose.
I dare the self-righteous piece of cat scratch to do what Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck do - nation-wide tours where they get out amongst Americans rather than hiding in a Porn Belt lair fretting about what the majority would do to him if he were caught out in the REAL public.
The non-man worthless mouth gets as many viewers in a month as Hannity & Beck do in a single night.

I won’t watch it either. He’s a big pile of feces. I bet you a dollar to a donut he’s a two pump chump all the time. Arrogant mother-fucker.
Jimbo – you’re right, one of these days he’s going to wonder in some place where they hate self-righteous liberals like him and he’s going to get his ass kicked.

I went to Daily Kos to check them out, and it is horrendously nasty. I almost want to thank Brandon and Ghost of Wellstone (respecting your nome de plumes this time) for being on this site.
DK offers a video of Rush Limbaugh, talking about America's frustration with Obama and his policies, and how those policies have diminished many people's hopes to the point where they feel helpless and are making irrational decisions in their lives. That 'overview', he suggests, could even be pervasive in the life of someone like Governor Sanford, driving him to 'llama land' (my license). While I believe it was a subtle tongue-in-cheek, I still think it was a bit of a stretch on Limbaugh's part, to even associate America's O-frustration with an illicit 'amour de salsa'.
Having said that, 244 comments later, I couldn't find ONE blogger on DK who broke down Limbaugh's comments into an objective and logical analysis--what did he mean, is there evidence to back it up, where's the connection?.....Without being derogatory Wellstone, the blog was harder to look at than Michael Jackson's nose (O.K. I did it--my first MJ joke--7 hours later! Sorry.). Anyway, the critical scroll is so invective and vile, it's basically toilet graffito.
Moonbattery, obviously, is basically a conservative website, but occasional brilliance comes from both sides of the political spectrum (I swear to God, that's my last lefty half-compliment), and a modicum of sassy, smartass repartee is verifiably healthy. My point however is, my visit to DK reinforces my conviction that liberals, in general, deal with feelings, not facts. It's more difficult and time-consuming for conservatives to make a factual point of truth, than it is for a liberal to scream out a disagreeable invective, and then storm out. It stuns me people can't discern this.....

An accusation from a random woman? On the internet?
It has to be true!

A fey attempt at sarcasm? On the Internet?

Aww, Olberdouche, the DUmmies and KOStards et al have just sunk so comfortably into their miserable role of ripping on R's the last few years, that's what they need to validate their existence. It's sad to see a whole subculture so desperate to throw stones.

Disgusting beyond belief. I will not watch one second of the clip. My compliments to the Kostard poster.

What a douchebag. I honestly don't see how anyone can be proud of the modern left.
And worse, Olberdouchebag fancies himself some kind of courageous crusading journalist. So when did his hero, Edward R. Murrow, ever stoop to reading love letters on the air for the sheer glee of twisting the knife in someone's back?
For that matter, David Letterman's hero Johnny Carson didn't go after people's kids, either.
I expect the moonbat apologists to whip out the "Rush Limbaugh made a joke about Chelsea Clinton 16 years ago" defense any moment now.

This may be your funniest post yet VH :)
It boggle the brain that any self respecting white man would be a hardcore Democrat given the parties clear, vocal animosity towards them. Masochism maybe? So it really makes a lot of sense that Olbermann must be screwed up in his personal life.

Posted by: son of a preacher man at June 26, 2009 8:16 AM
Given his prissy, pansy-ass demeanor, I am actually surprised Olbermann is even interested in women, if even in the abstract -- since he can't perform as a normal man according to his Caribbean whore. My guess is that the little hypocritical twerp would have got more of a tingling in his leg for Chrissy Matthews or Bwany Fwank. He's certainly got no room to talk about Sanford's affair, but it seems clear that is the only way he can obtain a sexual release. The Kostard poster got it right - he surely was trying to auto-stimulate his sorry ass by reading the private letters.
Posted by: Clingtomyguns at June 26, 2009 11:24 AM
Does anybody really watch this guy? If it wasn't for the comments about him on some of these sites, we wouldn't even know who he was. He is totally insignificant, and if we quit talking about him, he will lose his biggest audience.

The irrational hatred of Sex by you right wing extremist moral morons is horrible. I don't care whom Sanford (or Craig or Vitter or Ensign) is screwing. As long as everything is consenual and no one is underage, it's none of your business and it's not an issue unless Sanford was funneling SC tax dollars to Argentina.
Posted by: Grung_e_Gene at June 26, 2009 12:07 PM
Grung it not the sex we hate ,it's the adultery. A point you obviuosly missed.

"As long as everything is consenual[sic]..."
Did Sanford consent to having his private affair aired on the MSM? How is it the MSM's business to delve into this man's private life but not "rightwing extremists" on a blog?
Why do you believe your morality of screw whomever you want as long as it is consensual between the parties involved regardless of it's consequences on anyone else around you is more beneficial to a society as a whole then the traditional outlook of don't cheat on your wife?

Yes, we know marital vows and other commitments mean nothing to the left.

When I get up in the morning I like to have coffee and jot down ideas. Today, I thought about Keith Olberpuke and his nightly sleaze routine. I caught myself however, and concluded that we're being distracted by this human virus, from the real issue, which is Governor Sanford. I felt compelled to write this.
Men and women have no business trying to be innocent. Innocence is the characteristic of a child. God—in conservative’s lives, and I suppose either God, or life itself—in liberals lives, demand we strive to be pure and virtuous. This effort leads to fullness of character, graciousness to others, and a more rich and meaningful life. Having said this, because we are all human, we all fail. But in our failures we needn’t make convenient rationalizations and weepy justifications, and we shouldn’t fall back into feigned innocence. We need to accept the consequences of our human misjudgments and get back to being pure and virtuous.
Every person—all liberals and all conservatives, fails at one time or another. How we deal with the consequences determines who holds the moral high ground, and is then the party of values. So, how do we deal with Governor Sanford? First, we need to understand that forgiveness and consequence are separate—neither is an intrinsic part of the other. Second, the governor made a hugely selfish and destructively irresponsible choice, but who of us hasn’t, so I certainly forgive him. Last however, regardless of forgiveness, consequence must necessarily be an integral part of every moral failure. The conservative party today, if we have any semblance of value, should with one loud, united voice, call for the governor’s immediate resignation. Forgive the man, and then fire him!

From son of a preacher man:
Why do you believe your morality of screw whomever you want as long as it is consensual between the parties involved
Well, I did not. I placed age limits for one, so the people involved can have a clear understanding of the situation, in most states its 17/18 but should *probably* be at least 16. Two abuse of positions of authority e.g. teacher/student, doctor/patient, congressman/underage male pages are wrong and should not be allowed.
regardless of it's consequences on anyone else around you
Everyone should be held accountable for their actions. However, at what point is someone's sex life your problem?
is more beneficial to a society as a whole then the traditional outlook of don't cheat on your wife?
Traditional? Sanford invoked King David. Seems to be your tradition? Men of power have had multiple mistresses throughout the centuries and across varied cultures, due to their economic power. Women in power have often taken multiple lovers.
Sanford's decisions no doubt hurt his wife. But, it doesn't affect me and I won't chastise him for fornication.
Did Sanford consent to having his private affair aired on the MSM? How is it the MSM's business to delve into this man's private life but not "rightwing extremists" on a blog?
What point are you arguing? That his sexual affairs should be left private because I agree. But, I'm not a moral sex watchdog seeking to strike down politicians who have unlicensed sex.
Posted by: Grung_e_Gene at June 27, 2009 5:07 AM
V the K: Yes, we know marital vows and other commitments mean nothing to the left.
The breadth of what you know could not fill a thimble. "Other commitments" is an add on by you which to speak more plainly means you lie because you are a liar.
Posted by: Grung_e_Gene at June 27, 2009 5:14 AM
I like how you took a direct question and broke it down into 3 disconjointed points and totally missed the point I was trying to make. So you have no problem putting your trust into a person of authority within the government whom you do not know personally but you do know has been exposed as someone who can not keep his word to his own wife? Notice that question has nothing to do with sex because you are right to a degree and I don’t care who he is screwing, I care whether he can be trusted or not. Also if it is truly no big deal for people in positions of a authority to have multiple sex partners then he would have been more up front about all of his affairs with everyone he was sleeping with, that includes his wife.
Posted by: son of a preacher man at June 27, 2009 10:40 AM
I had to break down your question because it contained too many slightly disconnected points. So, that was an effort to answer those points
Also if it is truly no big deal for people in positions of a authority to have multiple sex partners then he would have been more up front about all of his affairs with everyone he was sleeping with, that includes his wife.
That is laughable. Of course it is a problem but only because those who ascribe morality to what a person does with their genitals let it be known they will destroy someone who does not follow their prudish standards. If society was more accepting then maybe Craig wouldn't have to sneak into bathrooms for gay sex episodes and Sanford could have the open secret mistress instead of galavanting down to Argentina for a few hours of fun.
I understand your point is you feel he can not be trusted since he sneaks around to have sex with someone other than his wife. But, that is the issue he sneaks because of the irrational way he has been trained to believe feelings of sexual desire for any other woman are a sentence of hell fire. They are not.
Of course, Sanford as a human being has reason and a brain and so he was aware that his desires, while not evil or unnatural or sinful, will have ramifications because of the irrational attitudes of others.
Posted by: Grung_e_Gene at June 27, 2009 11:39 AM
"Of course, Sanford as a human being has reason and a brain and so he was aware that his desires, while not evil or unnatural or sinful, will have ramifications because of the irrational attitudes of others."
OK you believe consenting adults should be able to have sex with whomever they want regardless of previous commitments, I got that in your 1st post.
You use this reasoning to tell people who may not agree with that standard of morality to temporarily abandoned their standards for yours using the Sanford incident as an example.
Why is this line of reasoning superior in relation to the Sanford incident then how it is currently being played out? Sanford receiving the contempt of his base who ascribe to the same sense of morality that the governor himself claimed to hold dear. Like you said, by having to deal with the ramifications based on the irrational attitudes of others.
Hope that was a bit more direct for you.
