Harvard Establishes Professorship of Pervert Veneration

Be very glad if you aren't putting your kid through an Ivy League school. Here's an example of what you get for the $zillion/semester tuition:

The Associated Press reports that Harvard University is creating a visiting professorship in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender studies with a gift of $1.5 million from the Harvard Gay and Lesbian Caucus. …
The university said Wednesday it would regularly invite experts in issues related to sexuality or sexual minorities to teach on campus for one semester, AP says.

If you indulge in perversion, you too are a sexual minority. Send off your curriculum vitae. Provided your chosen form of sexual deviance is deemed politically correct, Harvard might let you teach for a semester.

On a tip from MP.

Does a degree in "Gay and Lesbian Studies" qualify you to do anything other than teach a course in Gay and Lesbian studies?

We could save a fortune in higher education costs by eliminating stupid degree programs; or at least consolidate all of the niche programs in one college per program. Also, eliminate taxpayer financial aid for anyone studying stupid crap that's useless to society.

I am literally in love with my house. I drilled a 1" diameter hole in the bedroom wall. When will this fine class be available. Also, can I marry my house? I asked my house to marry me and she said YES! Our first baby, an efficiency apartment will be born next year!

Maybe the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender studies department could offer a joint degree with the virology department.

Will there be a field trip aboard the ROCK OF LOVE BUS? With stops at Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton's house?

Posted by: Anonymous at June 4, 2009 10:16 AM

What's your problem with this one? The school isn't spending any money and nobody's requiring anyone to take the course. A special interest is spending their own money to advocate their cause in the finest American tradition.

I think they're organizing some kind of mutiny of preverts.

1.5 million could have put, what, 15 or 20 disadvantaged kids through Harvard? But instead, teh gheys spend it celebrating their own narcissism.

Posted by: Gregory of Yardale at June 4, 2009 11:11 AM

v the k could teach a course: "How to be a horny coveting pornographer and still get into heaven"

Or maybe, "Mormonism and its loopholes"

I've really gotten under some moonbat's skin. LOL.

Businesses and industries are just beating the bushes for Gay and Lesbian Studies graduates. s/

Anonymous, what say you to Gregory's comment that this money could have been put to far greater use. How many disadvantaged kids could we afford to send to a decent state college? Maybe these kids could study something useful like nursing, pre-med, engineering, business, IT, etc.

Also, can you tell me exactly what people study and learn in these classes? And why?

Karin, I had it in mind today because my blog entry was about how liberalism is based on selfishness. When I read the article, my thought was, here are gay liberals spending a large amount of money to celebrate their own narcissism instead of using it to help others; it seemed a quintessential example of liberal selfishness in action.

Also, can you tell me exactly what people study and learn in these classes?

Karin, you’re quite sure you want to know?

And why?

The purpose of the department is to provide an academic sinecure for communist agitators to work their magic, i.e., the same purpose all the other grievance studies departments exist.

It took around 8,000 years for humans to evolve from sex/food/shelter to libraries, arts, poetry, computers, airplanes, and universities.

It took 40 years for the 60's hippies to bring it all back to genitals.

Now, the world's top university will have a professor of genital-related things.

So much for the Englightenment.

I took a Women's Studies course once. The professor was a Lesbian, naturally, and she offered to instruct all the women how to perform do it yourself gynecological exams. I passed on theoffer, but the weirdness of it still sticks with me to this day.

I was forced to take a two-week course at Smith College once. The T's in the Greasy BLT sandwiches were out in force. Lots of creatures with both bushy beards and boobs were roaming the town. The weirdness of those two weeks still stick with me. It was all lezbo all the time.

Wait - what are you saying? Women's Studies and women's colleges have...lesbians in them?

I'll be damned.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 4, 2009 3:15 PM

They are doing it in advance celebration of THIS I bet!

Replace opening and closing parens in this with the corresponding brackets (">").

Yeah, I was as surprised as you were when I found out, Jay!

Karin, that sounds like a long two weeks! So why did you have to take the class? Did you kill someone or something?

A colleague sent his (rather weak-willed and confused) daughter to one of the Seven Sisters and got back...a lesbian. Imagine. The more realistic (read: conservative) of us looked at each other with amazement. What exactly did he think was going to happen?

Posted by: Jay Guevara at June 4, 2009 6:47 PM

It's a little known fact among the general population that lesbians can be quite predatory and violent. I met my first bull dyke when I was 15 years old and was working at a little cafe where she was a cook. I don't mind sharing that she was scary as hell. Once she got past the stage where she would glare at you while plunging her cutting knife into the cutting board, she started sharing her little fantasies about tying up certain regular male customers and burning them with cigarette butts. It made me long for the days when she would just glare and look threatening...

Exactly right, mega. It's evolution in reverse as we get in touch with the complexities of our inner chimp. That's the kind of enlightened progress that only gets delivered in 'higher' education. Education, as it is delivered today, is like a deadly disease, infecting generation after generation. And it hit like the plague, (just as intended), before the last election.

Or, as my friend Chesterton said, "Without education, we are in a horrible and deadly danger of taking educated people seriously."

Thanks Jay! I'll try that again see how it works...

Judith, I got sent to Smith because of corporate P.C. when I worked for a big company. It was the Smith College Consortium, for exec women in large companies. What sheer goofiness! They took capitalist, entrepeneurial women and stuck them there for 2 weeks. We were shaking our heads in bewilderment. Once, we had to attend a lecture from an extreme moonbat, who extolled the many virtues of communist USSR, and cried croc tears over its fall. We all got up and walked out on him. Yay for us!

It's a little known fact among the general population that lesbians can be quite predatory and violent.

When we moved to our neighborhood, our next door neighbors were a PSYCHOTIC lesbian couple whom we nicknamed "Moby Dyke" and "Lickbeard the Pirate." They screamed, they revved their Harleys at 0600 weekend mornings, they threatened my kids... it was ugly.

They sold out to a wife-abusing Baptist preacher who hated Mormons and left hate-literature on our porch every Sunday morning. He sold (at a loss) to a nice Asian family we've had no problems with.

Posted by: V the K at June 5, 2009 6:24 AM

That sounds awful, V the K. I bet you really appreciate your current neighbors given your previous experiences. Sorry, I'm still chuckling about the nicknames...
