In fact, I am an atheist, but antiabortion regardless. Life is a continuum, from fertilization (subject to definition) to death. Of course there are milestones; viability (a moving target) being one, but from fertilization, the "fetus" has its own DNA, its own blood type. It is an individual human in its own right. It has rights to life liberty and property just as any other human. Therefore its life must be protected.

The conflict comes between the right of the fetus to have its life protected vs the right of the mother not to be forced to recognize the right of the fetus. I don't personally think there's a conflict (sorry girls). Your "choice" is at the point where you decide whether or not to do the thing that gets you pregnant. Exercise it then, or live with the consequences.
