Shock Troops of Hopey Change
How long before these people are kicking down doors to collect our firearms and subversive literature?
On a tip from Lyle.

Disgusting to see how the images of people like Ghandi, MLK, and Cesar Chavez are used to market this hopey-change crap. What the hell is this movement other than a retro-pseudo-quasi rehearsal of the 60's????

Its amazing how the left loved to compare Bush to a Nazi//fascist for his policies, but Obama is a God when it comes to his policies! These people are fucking insane! This garbage here in this video is Nazi-Esque!
If these fuckers show up on my doorstep they will be greeted with a loud ____!
Posted by: Anonymous at May 18, 2009 7:10 PM
Anon,
I hope these glassy-eyed twerps have their "Mutual of Obama" life insurance policies paid up. For most of them, the first time they try to kick the wrong person's door down will also be their...last.
Capisce, paisan?

Check your brain at the door, chant mindless drivel and dance. Don't think, feel.
Jim Jones came to SF a little too early. He'd be beatified now.

Pete, I've read that not everyone considers Ghandi, MLK, or (especially) Cesar Chavez a day at the beach.
Posted by: Jay Guevara at May 18, 2009 7:21 PM
I eagerly await their arrival. Been dying to try out my new gun.

This is another one of those organizations that, in principle, looks pretty good - the idea of getting young volunteers involved in their communities.
The paramilitary overtones don't bother me much - this kind of discipline is good for kids.
The video does look a bit suspect - serious leftist overtones there.
Check out the website at www.cityyear.org
Looks like they are good at finding sponsorship: Aramark, Bank of America, Cisco, Comcast, CSX, Pepperidge Farm, Pepsi, Timberland, T-Mobile
Anybody out there really know anything about this organization?

And let us not forget that Mandella was in prison because he was a saboteur and had planned to bomb power plants and other infrastructure. The South African Tim McVeigh but was caught before he could carry it out.

Well, I guess it's time to hit the gun show. I've got a couple of AK's to purchase.

Thomas Edison did more to change our world for the better and was recognized, admired and loved for it in his own time; but the Left has no room for people like that nor even any concept.
Posted by: Kevin R at May 18, 2009 7:49 PM
Kevin - but Edison did not try to polute the world with mercury in the process.
As far as these people, I have already been visited in CA. I was very cold. They were very cold. I reminded them that the census is not until next year (they were asking more than they leagally should - confirming the residence address was all they are doing this year).
Do not answer any qustions other than # of people and age of people at your home.

It is kind of interesting that so many are talking about guns. Are bombs and poison far behind? Knives and booby traps?
If all of this comes to pass, we won't have to worry about terrorists coming here. Our own home grown, highly technical, trained by decades of violence in books, tv, comics, and movies terrorists will make this country so dangerous no poor innocent camel driver Muslim fanatic will dare come here. This place will be just too damn dangerous! Besides, with the kind of body count our local pissed-off-mad-about-everything people are going to rack up, it will be very hard for a foreign terrorist to even get noticed.
Even the Mexican drug cartels will start building fences to keep Americans out. It won't do them any good--they too will find out what real violence is.
You can't unring a bell and you can't unlight a match. Once it starts, only God could stop it and I wonder if it isn't what was foretold. In which case, He won't.

Good, good... Not long now. Not long at all. The devoted Oprichniks are coming along nicely. The Red Shirts will sweep away the "four olds"- Old customs, old habits, old culture and old ideas. The North American Collective will learn to embrace the Hope and Change of Comrade-Chairman Soetoro's Cultural Revolution, through the iron fist of his CCP Oprichniki. The bourgeois honkeys will submit, or their necks shall feel the cold steel of machete justice.

Hey shouldnt they be wearing white body armor and helmets just like the IMPERIAL STORM TROOPERS or at lease CLONE TROOPERS
Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at May 18, 2009 8:53 PM
I echo the sentiment of many above. One of those hopey-change bitches or bastards kicks my door in it will be THE last thing they ever do.
Talk about Nazi youth? Liberals are delusional. A bunch of mentally ill thieves.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; any SOB who believes my firearms should be confiscated should be required to serve on a collection team. Freaking loudmouthed piss-in-their-pants cowards.
Posted by: Jimbo at May 18, 2009 9:22 PM
Oh dear, just listen to you guys. Once again, terrified of the unarmed liberals. What's the matter fellas, your big pick-em-up trucks and AK-47's not enough to make you feel like men? Grow some sacks for christ sake... and no, the "big scary liberals" aren't coming to put you into fucking internment camps. Good gravy... go have a beer, screw your wives or girlfriends, just whatever you do, lay off the chicken little shit for a while, it's going to raise your blood pressure.
Posted by: Joe the Plumber at May 18, 2009 10:22 PM
I like the visual the Oprichniki brings to mind--black clad riders on black horse--maybe with skulls for the saddle pummels--Ivan the Terrible's secret police/storm troopers riding through the night to silence those who opposed Ivan (absolute power corrupts absolutely)--It's creepy and scary but strangely apropos.

Written 100 years ago by a man who saw straight through leftist platitudes:
"It is true that a man (a silly man) might make change itself his object or ideal. But as an ideal, change itself becomes unchangeable. If the change-worshipper wishes to estimate his own progress, he must be sternly loyal to the ideal of change; he must not begin to flirt gaily with the ideal of monotony. Progress itself cannot progress. It is worth mentioning, in passing, that when Tennyson, in a wild and rather weak manner, welcomed the idea of infinite alteration in society, he instinctively took a metaphor that suggests an imprisoned tedium. He wrote:
'Let the great world spin for ever down the ringing grooves of change.'
He thought of change itself as an unchangeable groove; and so it is. Change is about the narrowest and hardest groove that a man can get into."

YOU relax. I'll stay on my toes. We'll see which of us preserves our liberties, feeds our families, and helps our neighbors do the same.
In the mean time... I'm not one of your "fellas", dipshit.

Why is this ad using clips of rebels rejecting collectivism while recruiting for the collective? Berlin Wall? Tianamen Square? You gotta be kidding me.

If they show up on my door and start reciting verses from their Book of Obama I would not threaten them. I will do them like I do the Jehovah Witnesses, invite them to have a seat at the bistro, offer them some cool tea and ask them to tell me what they believe. Then proceed to explain to them along the way why they are complete idiots and tools of people with unscrupulous intentions. Needless to say, the Jehovah Witnesses do not come to my house anymore. The most dangerous weapon against a liberal is to challenge them to think for themselves, it is something that they have no defense against.

"I am change. And this is what I wear."
If they do start knocking down doors, it's good to know that the red jacket makes a nice, high-contrast target.
Posted by: Crit_Zer0 at May 19, 2009 6:00 AM
Is this how the Obama Jugend is going to look? At least they are easy to pick out of a crowd. then comes the lariat and piggin' string.
Posted by: Glenn Cassel AMH1(AW) USN RET at May 19, 2009 6:05 AM
Excellent choice of color jacket. Much easier to hit (they should make a deal with Target to use their logo). The most disgusting part of this is the LIE! These sheep are NOT interested in helping people, they are interested in POWER and nothing more. Their line is the same they used to fool the German people.

The point, for those who missed it, Joe, is why does the ad adopt the paramilitary style - uniforms, synchronized movements and chanting?
Suppose these were Americans doing this, instead of liberals. Wouldn't it strike you as weird? It should.

"Joe the Plumber" enjoys the idea of being part of a collectivized, proletariat mass where all of his choices are made for him by committees of bureaucrats.
Those of us who love liberty, the freedom to make our own choices in life, who value our identities as free individuals... find that video downright creepy.
Posted by: Gregory of Yardale at May 19, 2009 8:00 AM
I found a good song to go with the video. Ironically, the song is longer then the clip.

"Oh dear, just listen to you guys. Once again, terrified of the unarmed liberals..."
Josef, History has a will of it's own, and is not impressed by the hubris and self-certainty of post modern, soft neo-socialists. Chairman Barry has a Maoist upbringing. Chairman Mao also had a CCP "youth brigade"- the Red Guard, which likewise began it's existence merely as "unarmed liberals" devoted merely to "community work". All just coincidental, of course. These sorts of cultural vanguards have a tendency to grow beyond control and slip their leash.
But History has nothing to teach you, has it? This sort of thing happened a whole generation ago (which is like the middle ages or something), and in a place where communists had seized government. Not like the USA today, right?

They are more than welcome to try.

Didn't it ever occur to these people that they were free to volunteer their time and money to their communities before Obama was elected? That's what's worrisome to me, that they couldn't think for themselves enough to step up and contribute without being given orders by Obama.
Posted by: Annie at May 19, 2009 10:11 AM
I like the idea of the red coats...it lets me see who I need watch out for. Joey you go ahead and rest on your laurels I prefer to be at the ready when these Obomites try take to take away more of our freedom. It's startling to me to see a generation of youth that will be indoctrinated by a government with such left views.
As far as coming on my property and taking my weapons.....that would be a bad idea. Locked and loaded always!!

I happen to work with a bunch of these "Gen-Y" thug types who are working thro a Federally supported "program" (ORISE) which provides highly paid "internships" for new grads ... and they are ALL in love with Mr. O (& it's always "Michele Obama did this" and "Michele Obama did that"), despite the fact that his & his cronies policies are likely to keep them from EVER getting permanent jobs.
Just before the election, one of them in a discussion with me about why I wasn't going to vote for Mr. O said "but we GET to have socialism!" - as if this was automatically a good thing, so I should reconsider.
I'm thinking it MUST have something to do with the fact that these "grown" insecure "kids" (early 20s), some of whom literally are still living with mommy & daddy... were raised with few siblings, started day care very young, and were therefore raised by those Marxist/socialist "educators". ~

"Double-tap" with a pistol, "center of mass" with a rifle, "aim for the thick of 'em" with a shotgun.

Good observation Ex-bat.
Most of those dumb asses don't know what or how socialism Works. They think it's a big party or they will be taken care by the state upon leaving school.
Public schools have become liberal indoctrinating centers over the past 10 years.
Posted by: Watching at May 19, 2009 5:54 PM
Seriously, is anything that's ever happened anywhere or at anytime in all of history NOT an analogue of Nazi Germany?
And did you ever think that maybe you guys and your douchebag doppelgangers on the left who do the same thing are really just the same equally douchey people with nominally different political schtick?
It's had to occur to a few of you, I would think

Wait a second, where are the conservative ads similar to the garbage in this video? Where are the conservatives urging collectivism and submission to the State? We all "do the same thing," right? So point it out for me.
Posted by: cowlove at May 20, 2009 5:35 AM
As much as we're poking fun at this, it's also VERY disturbing. Obama is now completely mirroring what Adolph Hitler did in his rise to power.
1. Win popular vote in a country economically crushed.
2. Consolidate as much power as possible as quickly as possible.
3. Gain control of the press.
4. Find a person or group that can be easily identified as the 'enemy of their future'.
5. Start a national youth movement to push your agenda.
Bear in mind, Hitler was a member of the German Socialist party, too.

Did you read my post?

"Obama is now completely mirroring what Adolph Hitler did in his rise to power."
When did we become such a nation of pussies that every time we don't get our little political way, we're in Nazi Germany?
Suck it up. Do you have any idea what happened in Nazi Germany? Apparently not, or you wouldn't compare having the party that your poor wittle ass doesn't like very much to genocide of millions.
First Bush was Hitler, now Obama's Hitler. WTF is wrong w/ you people? SERIOUSLY, go read something. Preferably a history book.
