Save the Planet: Pee Outside

Why did no one tell me that April 19th was Pee Outside Day? Now I'll have to wait nearly a whole year to participate in this righteous campaign and help save the polar bears by piddling on my neighbor's garage.

Even those who don't like to relieve themselves French-style can do their part to save the planet. From Pee Outside.org:

We understand that some people just don't like peeing outside, but every little bit helps! Some approved methods are:
• Pee in a cup/bottle and dispose of it outside.
• Pee down a drain of your choice.
• Pee in the shower, only if you are doing something else at the same time.
• Use the old "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down" method.
• Or, just don't flush every pee.

There's no mention of letting go in the pool, but you might want to avoid swimming with liberals just to be on the safe side.

On a tip from Air2air.

I've often found myself wishing they would combine "Talk Like a Pirate Day" and "Pee Outside Day".

*snicker*

And to all the silly liberals out there who may believe there isn't a day special for them; please consider every day 'Kiss my Ass Day'.

There. Feel better? :-)

I love holidays. :-)

I can always tell when I'm in the city - the smell of urine wafting up from the alleyways (Richmond VA) and MARTA elevators (Atlanta). It's a smell I associate with urban decay and homelessness. Have you ever been in the French Quarter in New Orleans in the morning? All those shopkeepers, spraying down their sidewalks to get rid of the smell of urine left by the bar patrons from the night before. Why would anyone promote this?

I didn't celebrate it on the 19th, but the weekend after. I was drinking copious amounts of Barley Pop while camping, and yes, bears really do whiz in the woods.

It's hard to believe that they're serious, but they probably are, so I have two responses:

If they really want to save water, they should be protesting the ethanol plants which in 2008, wasted an estimated 30 BILLION gallons of potable water (and caused a host of other negative environmental and economic consequences).

As for their suggestion of peeing while in the shower, most people cannot pee and wash themselves at the same time, so they would probably end up using just as much if not more water (depending upon how bad they had to go), since they would be peeing with the water running.

It's just another way for the government to collect revenue, most cities at least, have a pretty good fine for that particular action.

Lets start by flushing all enviromentalists down the toilet

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at May 10, 2009 9:41 PM

What the heck? They're worried about running out of water on the planet?

These people are really, really, really nutso.

Posted by: Scaramouche at May 10, 2009 10:03 PM

Why would anyone promote this?

Posted by: Nancy at May 10, 2009 8:31 PM

You wouldn't unless you were a moonbat who's willingness to self arrest your common sense in favor of mindless "do-goodery" had completely taken over your life.

As I said years ago "ITS ALL PIPES !!!"

GEORGE: Aha. Aha. Could it be because you don't want him to know that you have a friend who pees in the shower, is that it?!

ELAINE: No, that's not it!

GEORGE: Oh, I think it is! I think that's exactly what it is!

ELAINE: Why couldn't you just wait?

GEORGE: I was there! I saw a drain!

ELAINE: Since when is a drain a toilet?!

GEORGE: It's all pipes! What's the difference?!

ELAINE: Different pipes go to different places! You're gonna mix 'em up!

GEORGE: I'll call a plumber right now! (Goes for the phone.)

JERRY: Alright, can we just drop all the pee-pipe stuff here?

Environwhackos are a blight on our society. Between this and their war on toilet paper, we are going to have a stinky, dirty, and disease riddled society.

Gross.

And there seems to be a hotbed of them coming out of the U.K. Poor old London used to have s$%^ running in the streets in the good old days and it nearly did them in. Wallowing in rats, fleas and disease. This is "progressive?"

Smokey Behr, I'm with you, so to speak. I do my part for the holiday on camping trips, like a decent person.

>>• Pee in the shower, only if you are doing something else at the same time.>>

"Doing something else"? OK, we WASH in the shower, but this "doing something else" modifyer makes it seem like they should be adding: "Nudge, wink! Know what I mean?"

Posted by: KHarn at May 11, 2009 7:33 AM

I don't think the pee-cycling folks are going to be happy with this.

Posted by: Henry at May 11, 2009 7:38 AM

Seriously, are you all sissies? Its not exactly "liberal" to pee outside to save a gallon or two of water. Honestly, you sound like a bunch of first grade girls.

Chumps. You took the bait on an issue that everyone can get behind. I hope you all feel like the myrmidons you are.
