Please Gaia by Turning Neckties into Hippy Headbands

As a special service to moonbat trolls, here's a helpful environmentalist tip: old neckties that you don't wear anyway because you don't have a job can be converted into hippy headbands, thus preventing them from poisoning Mother Earth in a landfill. Detailed instructions can be found at Planet Green.
Neckties, environmentally speaking, can be an eco-nightmare. They're much more mass-produced than necessary — particularly for holidays (Father's Day, anyone?), and many of them sit around in closets or are trashed soon after receipt. But as a crafter, neckties hold endless possibilities for reuse. So if you've got a necktie lying around your home that isn't being used (or if you like this project so much that you want to go to a thrift store and pick one up), why not make a cool summer headband out of it? The headband I make from the neckties I come across is easy and stylish and, above all else, a green way to accessorize and keep your hair out of your face during the hot summer.
Follow four simple steps and you too could look as stylish as this:

To pep it up a little, you can stick feathers in the headband, which has the added benefit of showing reverence for oppressed native peoples. If no feathers come to hand, any number of items that can be reclaimed free of charge from Dumpsters might be used to decorate the band: drinking straws, dry pens, used Q-tips, et cetera. Let your imagination run free, the planet will thank you!
