Uh-oh:
*New CDC Head Named*
I hope the "swine" flu is over before he uses it to justify sending in teams to exterminate all sources of bacon. For those who head to seasides in summer, be aware he may outlaw ocean access owing to high salinity.

Any takers on whether or not this Wellstone is our resident goof?

ROTFLMAO! Diversity Lane always hit the mark!! Excellent!!

In advance of all of the TARP (your collective federally taxed) money that you are about to give to the state of California, thank you.

CA Props 1A to 1F – great polling stats here

At least the Unions don't appear to be able to swing this one the way they want. Having said that, if anything but 1F passes, it will have the odor of lots of dead Union fish on it.

This is interesting and caught my eye after all the rounds of interviews on FNC the last couple of days where Successful Dealerships are being forced to close and give their business to another dealership, but the owners are not being told why.

Political pay back baby!

Analysis of Campaign Contributions by Chrysler Dealerships who are Scheduled to Close = guess which ones are being forced to close that donated to Republicans or against Obama?

The writing style is similar.....could be. The thought process is definitely the same!

BTW, I'm pretty sure TGOW is a 44 year old lesbian incense-and-oils pop-spiritualist type from Orange County, CA.....hence the crush on Janeane Garofalo.

Obama, Nancy and Reid are reviving the political right - Selected Trend on Party Affiliation: 2004-2009

Check out the trend and then extrapolate to next year’s midterm elections.

Currently, it has moved back to a dead even balance, and don't forget about all of the independents and moderates who are now questioning their votes for Obama.

Now if we could just find some honest politicians to vote for.

Terminated Chrysler dealerships to challenge sale

The committee, which said it represents nearly 300 dealers in 45 states, said in a statement it needed more time from the court to investigate the issues and present their defense.

Another Classic: The Louisiana House unanimously agreed to override Gov. Bobby Jindal's rejection of $98 million in federal stimulus dollars to expand unemployment benefits. But it's unlikely most representatives even knew what they were voting for.
That includes 43 Republicans who couldn't be bothered (or are too simple) to understand they were voting to undo the Governor's express rejection of Federal dollars. It ain't always left vs right. Politics is too often about the stupid versus the stupider.

Now if the Dem-SM would just stop destroying the public image of viable conservative challengers like Palin.

Posted by: Oiao at May 19, 2009 6:58 PM

FTFY

Posted by: mandible claw at May 19, 2009 8:37 PM

mandible - yeah, I agree on that point. But, all viable conserative challengers will be destroyed by the MSM for any forseeable future.

It will be up to moderate Democrats, Indies, and the Republican base to get pissed off enough to overcome the inherent bias and smear machine.

Too bad most people are too ignorant to really care to find out what is going on.

At lease even the most ignorant moderates and indies that voted for Obama are becoming very aware as many of their personal freedoms are being flushed.

Wait for the inflation to start later this summer and through the winter. People are going to get real pissed and won't be buying the its BusHitler's fault anymore.

That is why all of the deadlines for the key Democratic/Socialist iniitatives such as Cap and Tax and Socialized Medicine have been publically set for later this year. They are counting on getting this crammed through before the pitchforks come out.

Unsettled Dust on Notre Dame’s Catholic Plate

None are so blind as those who will not see.

The crowds have now gone from what must had to have been the most publicized commencement ceremonies in the storied history of the University of Notre Dame.

The graduates are now off to pursue their careers or to a summer break prior to further schooling as their parents’ checkbooks breathe a sigh of relief from tuition payments.

However, the dust hasn’t come close to settling on the issues that clouded what should have otherwise been a sparkling, cloudless spring day.

Dust has a way of settling eventually and has already begun to besprinkle the Catholic plate, in unsettling ways.

Dusty plates may be an image that germaphobes find disquieting but it works in this instance. If that image is suggestive of dirt, all the better. Notre Dame’s Catholic plate became appreciably dirtier last Sunday.

First Place in the Dirtiest Catholic Plate Award for the second week of May 2009 is hereby conferred on the President of Notre Dame and on that formerly-Catholic institution.

The reasons are many for that dusty dirt: for inviting an abortionist to deliver this year’s commencement address, for granting him an honorary award, and for the failure of the 12,000 in the audience to rise up en masse during the graduation ceremony and quietly exit in graphic protest.

A fine public university, Arizona State, had previously shown a greater sense of institutional integrity by inviting the same guest to speak at its commencement but refusing to confer unearned honors on said guest.

That guest jested over the ASU rebuke and still was unworthy of being so honored by May 17th but Notre Dame had no moral qualms over granting him a Doctor of Laws honorary degree.

Apparently, the lure of prestige and a similar ideology superseded all other concerns for Notre Dame President Father John Jenkins who gleefully escorted his commencement guest into the Joyce Center, lauded his guest, and all but gushed over the reciprocated laudatory remarks.

None are so blind as those who will not see.

There were heroes in South Bend last Sunday,...

This pelosi thing is just too strange - I have trouble believing someone adept enough to become speaker of the house would directly lie about something that is documented.

Interestingly Pelosi has been pushing for torture investigations, but reed and obama have been resisting (that's the word on the politico-media street anyway). If I were reading some political novel I would be guessing she's pulling a trojan horse move. My guess is that this will turn out to be much more mundane than everyone is thinking...

Oiao, thanks for the Gallup poll link. Ramussen corroborates this as well.
Lefties come on here and say "R's are down to 20% and falling" but that's just not true. They love to make stuff up out of whole cloth, or else they're quoting a poll from The Nation or something. Anyway, looks like an even split 33-33-33. Interesting shift from 2006.

Cowlove, yes I think the writing style is similar. Now, I clicked your link and saw Wellstone's conspiracy theory, and the resulting comments. You have to know you're a nut if even the DUmmies smack your theory down.

How's the service treating you, conservativeteen?

Posted by: Murff at May 20, 2009 6:05 AM

The most important thing the Republican party can do is draw up a new Contract with America. Actually LIST OUT what they want to accomplish and DETAIL how it will benefit America. Simply calling a slimebag a slimebag doesn't help. We all KNOW they're slimebags. Republicans just haven't done anything, lately, to prove they aren't.

Throwing down negativity was what cost McCain the election. Granted, the Obama campaign did, too. BUT... the press didn't point that out as negativity. And, to be frank, they won't. Deal with it. The mainstream media has picked a side. They are your opposition, too. DON'T FEED IT.

The Republican party has to be about being hopeful, positive and encouraging. It can't be a "rich, Christian, white man's" party any more. It has to be all-inclusive... for ANYONE who wants taxes low, government out of your face, freedom to succeed or fail, liberty and power to the individual. We MUST be about getting away from 'I just need to make it through the week,' to 'I can dare to dream again.'

Pelosi: lying idiot
Reid: incompetant idiot
Obama: ignorant idiot
Biden: blathering idiot
Kennedy: murderous idiot

Okay... that's settled. Now... let's start leading by EXAMPLE and show these idiots the door!

Posted by: GreenwoodKevin at May 20, 2009 6:26 AM

Republicans just haven't done anything, lately, to prove they aren't.

Because the majority of them are, lying scumbags.

I won't argue that there aren't a couple diamonds in the rough, but we're quickly reaching the point where it's time to get rid of every last one of them and start over. Tar, feathers, pitchforks, that sort of thing.

Posted by: cowlove at May 20, 2009 6:41 AM

we're quickly reaching the point where it's time to get rid of every last one of them and start over.

And if Bam-Bam succeeds in bankrupting the country, we may be ripe for a new beginning.

Jail time for Thought Crimes

“Proposed congressional legislation would demand up to two years in prison for those whose electronic speech is meant to ‘coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person.’ Instead of prison, perhaps we should say gulag.”

There is the legal concept that the liberal left has sought to introduce into our law books for so very long: illegal speech and thought crimes.

Thanks for clearing the air on that....we were never really sure about the "Liberal Facist Socialist Communist" part, but we appreciate the confirmation.

There is another Loopy, Loony, Lemming-Like Liberal Leftie out there that goes by the name "kitchenwitch" at the Demonic Underground and proclaims, "I Am The Ghost of Paul Wellstone - Ask Me Anything". She fits the description in my earlier post.

You two should really get together and "caucus" sometime.
