They need to put this in high schools around the country.

Freedom, what a radical idea.

I think this may have been posted here in another video a couple months ago, but it's worth posting over and over.

I can't believe you deluded right-winger Limbaugh nuts (Limbaughllz)!

Don't you realize that free market capitalism is just another "ISM" that you're blindly signing away your freedom to?

And how do you explain the system idealized here while justifying the massacre and pillaging of the native population?

Further, the country is far worse off economically than it was right after WWII, when there was a 50% income tax on the richest 5%? There's less regulation now! And now we owe China more money than the next 6 generations of Americans can make!

That doesn't make us any safer! Also, closing borders like China did for hundreds of years didn't make them safer. In fact, they had more wars because of it, and a serious drug problem.

We're NOT becoming a socialist state. Right after WWII we WERE much closer to being socialist than we are now. Anyways, I don't know with what lies you've been indoctrinated with, but it's not all black and white like that.. there's room for the best ideas from both ideologies, and more!

Also, Obama used to be a Harvard professor on constitutional law.. He's all for checks and balances, unlike y'all who've supported fucked shit up for the last two terms ("THE STATE IS THE SUPREME COURT" sound familiar to you? Bush-Cheney suicidally did all they could to consolidate powers, making it MORE like the communist state depicted above.)

And seriously, what's so bad about "sustainable progress"? Can't we innovate and do all this cool stuff we imagine for the future WITHOUT destroying the world so that we can do it longer, and our kids, and their kids, and their kids, etc...?

And the whole thing about sending more children to schools and colleges? That's total bullshit! DOES NOT APPLY ANYMORE!!!
Proportionally compared to the rest of the developed world, our education system is in the DUMPS! INCLUDING the college education loans bust.

And not counting immigrants, if you look at the life-expectancy of people a hundred years ago and their ancestors now, people are dying YOUNGER! People used to live longer if they were born a hundred years ago!

Get your heads out of your asses, PLEASE!

Going through with these imperialist, murderous, right-wing policies for the last 40 years has seriously screwed this country.

And stop being so freaking HATEFUL. It's not productive to anybody.

That's quite a diatribe there, Ashe. I won't go point by point as I'm not completely sure of your point, but let me just say

1) Zero was not a professor of constitutional law. He was just a teaching assistant. I see no concrete evidence of his liking checks and balances. I see ample evidence of a power grab; particularly paired with his chief of staff.

2) Life expectacy in 1909 was around 53 years old. It's now about 75. Source: U.S. Census. After socialized medicine I expect it to go back down to 53.

"There's less regulation now!" - Ashe

Hogwash. If you really believe that, try building something on a piece of property you own. Let's say a retail building.

Here's the short list of hoops you will need to jump through that you wouldn't have back in the late 40's. All entail cost in time and money and could potentially crater the project entirely:

local zoning - multiple meetings and approval needed. This not only regulates the type of use, but dictates the % of the lot area that can be developed, how it's developed and many other details like the size of your sign and the color of the building. Total number of "development rights" can come into play too. This dictates the number of retail buildings or homes you can put on a property of a given size.

Professional environmental and historic studies needed with approvals needed from State and local authorities. Actual soil testing may be required if there had been anything on the property like a storage tank or a train track. Historic regulations can also limit the size and control the appearance of the development or kill it outright.

Professional erosion and sedimentation plan needed. Expensive storm water management installations often needed.

Professional subdivision and land development plan needed - multiple hearings and revisions needed for approval. The number of parking spaces, type for curbing, how much "open space" will remain etc etc - all regulated.

State or local highway occupancy permit needed for rights to access road from driveway.

This is just a partial list of expensive steps that need to be taken to build something, and few or none of them would have applied 50-60 years ago.

have you been paying attention to your third world commie inelgible prez?he wants government to take over everything.just wait fellow, this dude will make gw look like a boy scout.you will not have any property to worry about.people bring this stuff upon themselves.the more services they demand from government, the more regulation, the less privacy too.someone once said, once people learn they can vote themselves money from the public treasury, the great experiment in freedom will be over with.

Clear enough for a child to become aware of the impendig doom, if we stand by and let it happen.
