Obama Transparency Is Applied to Ground Zero Photo Op

It looks like all we'll get for the tax money Comrade Obama blew on his Ground Zero photo op will be a few screams. The New York Post reports:

The $328,835 snapshots of an Air Force One backup plane buzzing lower Manhattan last week will not be shown to the public, the White House said yesterday.
"We have no plans to release them," an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further.
The sole purpose of the secret photo-op, which sent thousands of New Yorkers running for cover, was to take new publicity shots of the presidential jet over the city.

In lieu of pictures of Air Farce One sending New Yorkers running in terror, the White House will be releasing another heartwarmingly candid shot of the first family, featuring Oprah Winfrey's conception of "the greatest First Lady we've ever known" in a tribute to Millie Jackson. Warning: the picture may be a little too up close and personal for some.

I followed Heather's link to the NY Post story. They are going to release it, but don't sound too enthused. The commenters were not impressed. 36/37 lambasted zero.

Something is not right with this story. making a campaign film for 2012? Flying some Hollywood friends around or something. This wasn't just a Air Force One photo op.

I hope people are watching for a photoshop picture to come out soon.

Campaign photo op doesnt make sense since they could have just scheduled a flyby with Obama on board then land the plane and visit Ground Zero. That way everyone would be expecting it and you wouldhnt have panicked people running for cover. Ok, maybe some still would! LOL!

Just another WTF? moment in the era of Hopey McChange.

When will we be in the "After Obama" era, Spike Lee?

Now they have decided to release ONE. $328,835 for one pic - that sums up the PresBO administration.....

I bet BHO was just getting some "Christmas Card" type photos for his Muslim buddies to enjoy in future friendly exchanges. (this will be great to set right next to the one of him bowing to the Saudi guy). Next we'll have some candid shots of the released gitmo boys roaming American streets doing the terrorist, um, I mean tourist thing. Great pics to document this vacation they sent him on (and probably paid for).

If it WAS for pictures of the plane, they would have had a PASSENGER plane along side, not a fighter. Even a two-seat trainer F-16 would have restricted the photographer's movements and camera options, alowing only hand-held photos.
A passenger plane would alow SEVERAL photographers with mounted and hand-held cameras, both still and movie. There would even have been photos of the PHOTOGRAPHERS that took the pictures from the camera ship.

The whole thing sounds as phoney as "hope and change".
