Media Finally Finds Dirt on Rumsfeld
You had to know that if liberals kept digging, they would eventually find some real dirt on the Bush Administration. From their point of view, this must be the ultimate outrage:
Former US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has been accused of using quotes from the Bible in his briefings to George W Bush during the Iraq War.
The quotes were placed on the cover of the briefings alongside images of US soldiers, GQ magazine has reported. …
Defence department staff were privately worried, GQ reports, that if the briefings with biblical quotes on them had ever been made public, the fallout would have been "as bad as [the revelations of prisoner abuse at] Abu Ghraib".
One Muslim member of staff was offended by the quotations, GQ reveals.
And we all know how hard it is to offend Muslims.
Clearly, the blasphemy of referring to the book that constitutes the backbone of Western Civilization right there in the White House can't go unpunished. I suggest forcing Rummy to copy the Koran and Das Kapital onto a blackboard three times.

Kinda reminds me in the book of Daniel where the other princes and sub-rulers couldn't find any faults with Daniel, so they used his faith to get him into trouble. Too bad in this story the bad guys don't get thrown into a pit of lions.

I'd be slightly disturbed by that, since most of bible's military advice is of the "slaughter everyone" variety.
Of course, you hardcore conservatives completely forget that our Lord was a pacifist. I dare say you'd accuse him of being a traitorous communist if he were to repeat his original teachings today.
