Google Discovers Prodigy
Not since 7-year-old Autum (sic) Ashante started composing poems about the evil white man and his remorseless paradigms has liberal-land seen a prodigy like Sameek Das, 8, of High Peaks Elementary in whacky Boulder, Colorado. Google discovered Sameek with its Doodle 4 Google contest…
…a competition where we invite K-12 students to play around with our homepage logo and see what new designs they come up with. This year we're inviting U.S. kids to join in the doodling fun, around the intriguing theme "What I Wish for the World."
Here's Sameek's entry:

Even more impressive is Sameek's wish for the world:
I wish religious harmony for the world. We all are equal under one God! Our world will be a better place, if we love and respect each other irrespective of our religion. With respectful coexistence of different religions, peace will prevail in the world.
When I was 8, the longest word in my vocabulary was imbecile, and I still can't spell it without help from the dictionary. Here's Sameek hauling out "harmony," "irrespective," and "coexistence." A bright future awaits, provided the kid can read a teleprompter.
On a tip from Travis A.

Its looks like the large Islamic Crescent about to devour all the other religions like some kind of Green Pac Man.
Posted by: Anonymous at May 12, 2009 7:28 AM
I doubt an 8 year old would come up with that or even know what half the symbols were let alone the text which is beyond most highschool kids these days. The crescent, Jewish star and cross maybe, but the others?

My goodness, what a bigoted little monotheist. I am shocked, shocked that Google allowed such a close-minded rant.

Not sure how Islam is going to peacefully coexist with other religions when Mohammad says they are to either conquer and convert the infidels to Islam or kill them.

Yes, very divisive. Whoever put those words in his mouth definitely needs some re-education.

Yeah, I've seen that bumper sticker. Hey kid, Joe Biden called, he wants his plagairism back.
Irrespective.....haha Also, LOL at the teleprompter snark.
Caoogto...sounds like a new moonbat religion. You run around drinking your own pee, composting your own poo, and worshipping a thin, shadowy black man.
Posted by: Karin at May 12, 2009 8:34 AM
Sameek's broad-minded, elitist hometown is loaded with Prius' and Subarus sporting "Coexist" bumper stickers. There is scientific evidence showing that the rudeness/inconsiderateness/smugness/condescension/sanctimony of drivers is directly proportional to the number of progressive bumper stickers on the car that is cutting you off or refusing to allow you to smoothly merge into traffic. (And indirectly proportional to cars displaying an American flag decal).
That "Coexist" sticker is actually a slam on Christianity, and most 'open-minded' libs know it, though they'd never admit it.

The one from the 10-12 grade category. This one sound like the 8 year old. Gay Rights, now??? Ugh. No doubt her moonbat teachers and parents influenced that. Sounds like something a beauty pageant contestant would say. Vacuous nonsense. Well on her way towards becoming a first class politically correct eco hippie. All she needs is some weed and flower covered VW Beetle van.

Yeah, I know, precious little hope for that. You can say I’m a dreamer, and sometimes I do think I’m the only one. But I’ll settle for nitwits such as Meaghan not reproducing. Unfortunately, her nether regions are probably much more functional than the other end.

Hmmm... a little off topic, if thats possible on this "distinguished" blog but If Colin Powell's reason for supporting Barack Obama was based entirely on race holds up, does it follow that Limbaugh supporters are white, OxyContin-pill-popping, fat, hate filled, ugly old men?
Posted by: Evolved at May 12, 2009 9:23 AM
Evolved,
Let me state this s-l-o-w-l-y so you understand......
No.
Posted by: TonyD95B at May 12, 2009 9:34 AM
Colin Powells reason for supporting Obama was to get even with the Republican Party who he thinks did not support him enough when he was critized for presenting information about Iraq that was later unverified.
As for Limbaugh, to say he is hate filled is ridiculous. The left defines as hate filled anyone that disagrees with them. Limbaugh is fat, but so is Ted Kennedy, Al Sharpton, Michael Moore.... Pill popping? People getting hooked on perscription drugs is bipartisan. Getting back to hate. Now the left has cornered the market on hate lately - they hate anyone who does not agree with their warped marxist world view. Just look at the ugly black chick who said she hope Limbaughs kidneys would fail and well as all the things said about Palin and her kids.
Posted by: Anonymous at May 12, 2009 9:40 AM
Evolved: No, you are not off topic. This thread is about the sad state of education in this country. You proved the point quite nicely. Oh, and in your list you forgot "way more succesful than your average liberal."
Posted by: baldeagle390 at May 12, 2009 9:47 AM
No doubt there's enough hate to go around... but Limbaugh I think is the grandfather of it all... starting in the early 90s. I think he's personally to blame for the low level of public discourse that has developed in this country. The left took a long time to catch up but, I say fuck the peace and love thing... fight fire with fire... it's the only thing you wingnuts understand.
When you think about how many radio stations in this country cary RW "talk" and how few actual LW stations there are, almost none ... still the majority America has voted for a liberal black man and continues to support him ... perhaps americans aren't as stupid as one would think. And don't give me that crap about the mainstream media being liberal.... they are merely scandal mongers and you righties confuse all criticism, especially self criticism with liberal thought.

(D)Evolved,
For once I agree with you....the Loopy, Loony, Lemming-Like Liberal Leftie Loser thought process DOES sometimes confuse us.
Usually we can see right through it, though.
By the way, your side said "F#ck the Peace and Love thing" a long, long time ago. Please try to keep up.
Posted by: TonyD95B at May 12, 2009 10:49 AM
Spot the liberal. Just do a search for the seven words you can't say on television. It's what passes for liberal discourse.
Meanwhile, "evolved," take your hate and fear elsewhere.
Posted by: Jay Guevara at May 12, 2009 11:19 AM
Sure, speaking of hate, dear World Peas, when you posted Meghan Parker's unbelievably vacuous, fatuous, childish and cliched statement, it drove a spike of furious hate into my heart.
But just then, a soldier just returned home from Iraq walked by my office. He's married to my co-worker and they've been apart for 15 months. They were reunited just 2 days ago. Love returned to my heart.

People like Rush for ideological reasons - a belief in individual rights and responsibilities, smaller government etc. It doesn't have anything to do with his looks or personal flaws.
Colin Powell says he's conservative/moderate, but he chose to support the most leftist major candidate who has ever run for President. The dissonance is suspicious and points to something other than ideology being behind his choice.
He wouldn't be the only one who voted for Obama due to race, it that's what it was. The 90% black vote totals he was getting against Hillary show that this was going on seeing as the two were so similar on policy and popularity within other groups of voters.
Why do lefties have so much trouble understanding the difference between a valid comparison and an invalid one? I'm beginning to think it's chemical or a mental disorder or something.
Posted by: forest at May 12, 2009 11:44 AM
For my money, one of the leftist habits I find most annoying is their tendency to involve their children in cloying (and obviously contrived) political statements.
Unless, of course, their point is that liberals have the viewpoint and judgment of children. But we knew that already.
Posted by: Jay Guevara at May 12, 2009 1:02 PM
"When you think about how many radio stations in this country cary RW "talk" and how few actual LW stations there are, almost none ... still the majority America has voted for a liberal black man and continues to support him ..."
Limbaugh and similar conservative talk radio stations have high enough ratings to stay on the air and gain sponsors, whereas liberal radio stations like Air America crash and burn everywhere they go due to low ratings and a consequent lack of sponsors.
Obama got elected largely because, inexperienced and clueless though he may be, he was charismatic enough to build up a cult of personality and thus win the election by a rather narrow margin. I mean, the guy does have charisma and knows how to inspire people, but his strengths appear to end there.
btw, couldn't that kid come up with a better symbol for the letter "e"? A yinyang symbol looks much more like a letter "o".

Is Sameek Muslim? Because what a Muslim means by "peaceful coexistence" (subjugation as dhimmis) isn't what everybody else means.

I am very confused with this post!
are you saying you believe that the various religions of the world have unreconcilable differences that can only be settled by violence?
are you saying you don't want other religions to exist, and you are willing to kill people to achieve this goal?
exactly what is the point of this post?

"are you saying you believe that the various religions of the world have unreconcilable differences that can only be settled by violence?
"are you saying you don't want other religions to exist, and you are willing to kill people to achieve this goal?"
No, BRANDON, it's the MUSLIMS who are saying that. How many times do I have to point that out to you?
Did you miss the mulsim who posted twice on this site saying that our freedoms will gain us nothing IN THE GRAVE? Or did you just ignore that?
Posted by: KHarn at May 12, 2009 4:54 PM
KHarn, it seems your picture of Muslims comes the ones that attack us. Are you making the argument that because some Muslims are violent, they all are? To me that's like saying KHarns are violent cause the letter K is also in the word kill.
still, i don't think what you wrote speaks to the point of this post. This post is about deriding little kid (and a company that supports him) who wishes that people could live peacefully together.
what makes you think all muslims are jihadis?
Posted by: Brandon at May 12, 2009 5:13 PM
It was probably all of the celebratory gunfire in the Gaza Strip on 9/11 that made us think crazy thoughts like that...
Posted by: PabloD at May 12, 2009 8:43 PM
Brandon,
Your Loopy, Loony, Lemmimg-Like Leftie Loser Liberal Logic is, as always, an absolute mess.
1) As for the child that wishes we could all live in peace and harmony, on the face of it that's just fine, as long as "we all" agree. Not gonna happen. The kid also "Bidened" the artwork from the popular Leftie "Coexist" bumper sticker.
2) The comment about the "K" in KHarn reminds me of one of cowlove's posts where he explained the liberal logic process as "Five + Yellow = Apple". No more to say here.
3) While it is undeniable that not all Muslims are violent, why does that mean we should therefore ignore the ones that are?
No need to thank me....Glad I could help.....
Posted by: TonyD95B at May 12, 2009 8:51 PM
Not all Muslims are violent, but they all subscribe to a religion that is. Nearly all Muslims support global terror through contributions to Islamic "charities", most of which are conduits for terror finance, as are most mosques.
Posted by: Bob Smith at May 12, 2009 10:28 PM
KHarn, it seems your picture of Muslims comes the ones that attack us.
And where does yours come from, pray tell?
Are you making the argument that because some Muslims are violent, they all are?
Um, no, however their holy book does explicitly call for violence against unbelievers.
Look at violent crime rates in Muslim countries and amid Muslim communities in non-Muslim countries. You might be surprised at what you find.
To me that's like saying KHarns are violent cause the letter K is also in the word kill.
To everyone else, that's a completely stupid comparison. Glad it makes sense to you though.
still, i don't think what you wrote speaks to the point of this post. This post is about deriding little kid (and a company that supports him) who wishes that people could live peacefully together.
Um, no, it's about deriding the adult moonbats who quite clearly created the contest entry for him, and the adults at Google who had no way of missing that the contest entry was done by his parents ...
what makes you think all muslims are jihadis?
Posted by: Brandon at May 12, 2009 5:13 PM
What it says in the holy book, the Qu'ran, and their hadith.
By the way, I live in a Muslim-majority country, been here for four years. I didn't think Islam was a violent religion either, until I came here.

Posted by: Evolved at May 12, 2009 10:18 AM
In a way, you're actually right on this - the media are far from liberal. They are Democrat partisans, which in many ways is a far cry from being liberal (except on select social issues.)
Unfortunately that only makes your theory correct in a pedantic, semantic sort of way.
Even Obama disagrees with you, see?
Posted by: mandible claw at May 12, 2009 11:37 PM
Human thought, including belief and values, has been divergent throughout history. For example the three Abrahamic religions diverged from one, then those religions split into different sects which continue to evolve over time. This is also true with secular thought - the divergence of western philosophical thought is an excellent example, and also the divergence of all the political groups. As our world changes, we will have to come up with new thoughts to approach a new world, and it seems natural that human thought will once again diverge.
If you could show a logical train of thought showing that disagreements can only be settled through violence, then I would agree that hoping for peaceful coexistence is absurd and even dangerous.
I don't see that logical train of thought, and so I see no reason to throw away a chance for peace.
But even with inevitable disagreement, I don't see that necessitating wars.
At the same time, I agree we have to protect our selves from the minority of extremists who attack us.
Posted by: Brandon at May 13, 2009 11:46 AM
If Muslims believed that it was god's command to kill non-muslims, where are all the jihadis? there are 1.5 billion muslims, so why are there relatively few extremist terrorists?
Also, if the Muslims really believed they must kill the non believers, why is it they claim they are fighting against American imperialism, rather than non belief?
Although I haven't read the Koran, I believe you are right that it does say somewhere to kill non beleivers, however the interpretation of this is not straight forward, especially when interpreted without context
How about Deuteronomy 13:5, it seems to instructs us to kill people who tell us about other religions:
13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
Looks like christians are violent extremists as well, by my armchair interpretation of their holy book.
Posted by: Brandon at May 13, 2009 12:22 PM
How about this one - the good old Lord wants you to burn down the cities of those who believe in other gods (by my arm chair interpretation of the christian holy book).
Now all I have to do is hire an actor to read these passages with a malicious tone, and I can make a video juxtaposing the actors voice with the military operations of christian countries, and I'll be able to convince people that Christians want to wage holy war on non Christians.
12: If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
13: Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
14: Then shalt thou inquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;
15: Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16: And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
