Dem Rep Admits: Goal Is to Destroy Free Market Healthcare Insurance
In case there is anyone left on the planet who doesn't understand that Democrat "healthcare reform" is a Stalinist power grab, here's Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) admitting in the clearest terms that the objective is to put private insurers out of business, leaving us peasants at the mercy of inept and frankly evil bureaucrats like herself:
Quoth Schakowsky, "This is not a principled fight." Of course not. Nothing liberals are doing to this country is principled.
No wonder this malevolent apparatchik tried to characterize the patriotic Tax Day Tea Parties as "despicable" and "shameful." When the villagers gather up their torches and pitchforks and storm the castle, she'll be among the first to go head-first into the moat.

I think at this point it will happen. The only thing we can push for it that all government employees and elected one as well use the same program. When they get told to wait like everyone else they may change their tune(Ted Kennedy).

I agree with Sean, but I don't expect to be seeing Schakowsky or her anyone from her family lined up at the government clinic for treatment. That's for the rest of us.

The only thing to do is follow the Canadians when they can't get good healthcare HERE anymore. This should really "T" them off, where will THEIR LIBERALS go now? We were so handy.

"When the villagers gather up their torches and pitchforks and storm the castle, she'll be among the first to go head-first into the moat."
Can't happen soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

What really bothers me isn't that these kacocrats are what they are, we know what they are because we make it a point to know our enemies. What really worries me is that the American people will blindly follow them wherever they lead. When it is all over and there is nothing left of our former greatness but ruin, then they will say "I was never one of his followers, I always thought he was dangerous". We have seen this happen before in an advanced western nation in the 1930s and 40s.

Yes we've seen it happen before Bill. When almost every last Bush follower said "oh, no, I neeeever voted for HIM!" after he led us into two wars and financial ruin.
Oh wait, that's right now!

Speaking from a glorious socialist peoples republic :) what you'll probably end up with is what evil right wing economics predicts, which is that the "public" provision won't entirely destroy the private provision, but will instead force it into the small luxury end of the market. There are various analyses of how this happens in other markets e.g. housing and education online.
So there will still be a residual private healthcare system, as there is a residual private schooling system. Because they can't compete in the mass market, which the public system has shoved them out of, they will only be able to cater to the high end of the market.
In practical terms, that means that wealthier people, like politicians, will have a private sector bolthole while the rest of us scum are forced to make do with what the State provides, because the affordable private sector we could have used has been wiped off the map.
This woman won't be queueing at her local disease infested factory hospital. She'll somehow find it within herself to suffer going private, just as the champagne socialists who govern Britain do, for healthcare and education.
As an aside, a fine example of this blindness to their own hypocrisy might be demonstrated by noting that Harriet Harman, the deputy Prime Minister, and radical feminist, has just introduced an "Equality Bill" which is the capstone of decades of struggle to bind everybody into the true progressive socialist web. One "discrimination" that is outlawed is preference based on "class".
She is the privately educated niece of an Earl.

Blame Bush for everything? Yeah sure. Forget about Barney Fag and the other Democrats running Congress the last 2 1/2 years who helped create the financial mess - along with all the Democrats who voted to actually votes to take the fight to the terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan? Ok, so the Democrats were good for something - at least until they changed their minds for partisan political reasons.
oh and forget about Obama spending close to $2 trillion more than the government takes in - people though Bush overspending by $400 billion in a year was bad - Obama and the Demoncrats did him better by spending 4-5 times as much.
Fact is both Democrats and Republicans were to blame for the financial mess. At least the Republicans are finally waking up to the fact how far off course they went during Bush's 2nd term. The Democrats however are a lost cause and headed towards Marxism = full speed ahead. America is turning into "Kooba" - Happy Days are Here Again....

Obama's first two spending bills would have paid for all six years of the Iraq War 2x over. Who's the big spender who's driving us to financial ruin?
