It doesn't matter. They could vote that the tide should not come in or that the moon should wander off away from the earth--and they can vote on this also, but they can't change the fact that it is going to get very cold for many years.

The ice in the artic was found recently by the Germans to be 4 meters thick when they had expected a couple of meters. It is already winter in New Zealand--they missed fall. The Antartic ice sheet in the west is growing fast and the little bit in the west that is melting is trivial. Solar cycle 24 is very late and it looks like the maximum is going to be pretty minimum. The model that was used for the current batch of lies by the global warming terrorists has been pounded with facts and data so that if it were Mount Everest pounded with rocks in the same way, there would be a very deep hole where that mountain stands.

So as each winter gets colder and each summer shorter and scientists around the world point out the absolute madness of American policy, even the average liberal as they are freezing and starving in the dark with a living standard about 1/4 of current standards will start to wonder if just maybe they were less than right.

But, SnowSnake, what worries me is that as this ice age advances, they are going to pat themselves on the back and say it was BECAUSE we took action on "global warming". It might not get so bad so fast that it's going to make them uncomfortable enough to admit they were wrong, or even wonder. Just that they stopped it. It's our children who will be the sorriest.

That might have been true before, but now with Obama and crew doing everything they can to make us helpless even a small change in climate towards extreme cold weather and shorter growing seasons (read bad crops) all effects will be greatly amplified. Also, it seems to be coming fast! Last winter may be the nicest warmest winter we see in our lifetimes.

Even the best intentions in the world cannot heat Minnesota, Dakota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine, Upper New York etc. homes without electricity, natural gas, or power. And it sure is not going to come from any silly solar panels or some even sillier wind mills. Right now, if it doesn't get real warm much less stay the same as last winter we are going to be in very deep trouble. Obama's crew is depending on freakishly warm winters for years to come. The problem is that it has been cooling since l998.

Right now, planting is very late in many of the corn growing states. After a certain date, crop yields start averaging a bushel less/day. At some point, it isn't worth the cost of diesel fuel and fertilizer to put it in the ground. And that is betting on a good late fall.

Yes, we said "Totalitarian Left". Totalitarianism IS what this is about, too. Koyoto, the Copenhagen Conference, Cap and Trade, etc. are not about the climate or the environment - they are about power and control.

You imply that people on the political Right don't know or understand history, yet you're just a tool that most likely doesn't even know the history of the political Left and what it truly stands for.
