American Nuclear Technology Headed for Middle East

Our rulers are insane:

President Barack Obama agreed Wednesday to share US nuclear power technology with the oil-rich United Arab Emirates, giving his consent to a deal signed in the final days of George W. Bush's administration.
The pact now goes to Congress, which will have 90 days to amend or reject it.
The agreement creates a legal framework for the US to transfer sensitive nuclear items to the United Arab Emirates, a federation of seven Middle Eastern states that wants nuclear power to satisfy growing demand for electricity.

Considering that the UAE is floating on a lake of oil, it's hard to take their "growing demand for electricity" seriously. I wonder what other uses our Arab friends would have for nuclear technology?

Maybe eco-friendly neuclear power can be purchased from UAE instead of oil, since we can't build it here and we don't care if they glow in the dark. All we have to do is fill up those oil tankers with the power from the nuke plants we will probably pay to build, and vwallaah, clean power for the USSA. As a plus, we don't have to deal with the waste rods, Iran can have them to throw at Israel. Isn't the world a wonderful place under the mulatto mendacity?

The only nuclear power the Middle East should get from the US of A is a mushroom cloud over Mecca.

There is an old saying that's been around before Obama was hatched, "Nervous is being in a room with a monkey playing with a loaded pistol." Well, giving Obama the means of trading nuclear material to next year's enemies makes one about that nervous.

you get more MPG from radioactive oil!!!!!

I'm confused. I thought everyone wanted solar and wind power for the future. Do you suppose they would rather have nuclear because it is cheaper and more reliable, or because it makes all those interesting byproducts for making their own weapons? Both?

they want nuclear since its a lot cheaper than oil... that would leave more oil to sell...

its that simple.. as far as a reasonable reason for an oil coutry to want it.

but ulterior things make it so soddy, we shoudnt do that... after all, the peopel in the planes were from where?

the saudis have lots of raw crude...
they dont have a lot of refineries...

so its cheaper to sell the raw materials and just build nukes for general power.

actually if we did the same thing, then we would use a lot less pollution sources and transportaion costs would go down, since now the oil is used less for other things.

Liberals, it's time to start protesting this proliferation of nukes, just the same as you do in America.

Or don't you have the balls?

Buuuuuuuut, I thought nukes were bad for the environment????? Now Obama wants the UAE to have those Earth-defiling nuclear plants?????

The only scenario that makes sense here is that Obama is a closet Musilm, hell-bent on destroying this country while arming it's potential enemies. The Manchurian Candidate is alive and well and living in the White House.
