Springtime in Obamaland

Since ridicule of the Moonbat Messiah and his acolytes is off limits in any media our liberal establishment would be exposed to, there is nothing to remind Obamamites of their own absurdity. Consequently, they just keep laying it on thicker and thicker. From an AP report on a bird's nest at the White House:

This is a story about a fledgling family at America's most famous address, an inspiring saga about new beginnings, the audacity of hope and perhaps even dreams from a father.
More specifically, it's about a robin's nest. …
What motivated this mother robin to choose the White House grounds for a home — let alone this particular bush among the thousands of shrubs and trees on its 18 acres? Was it the closeness to the seat of power? …
For the briefing room's mother robin, roosting outside this particular door can't help but involve an element of hope — the kind that comes in making an unlikely home, or in the miracle of birth and the circle of life. …

The chicks were abandoned by their lowlife dad, just like The Anointed One:

Meantime, the father seems somewhat less audacious. In fact, Edmonds reports, he's hardly been seen. Is it too much to wonder if the chicks dream his dreams, too?

As our economy is railroaded toward total collapse, and our political system gives way to authoritarianism after 200+ years of liberty, this is what passes for a news story.

Helpless, blind, demanding to be fed — the baby birds are Obamunists, all right.

You're right! Its the first ridiculous story to ever appear in a newspaper anywhere!

Surely at least 100 times as ridiculous as covering an inflatable shower curtain!

Posted by: Moon bat at April 27, 2009 9:02 AM

I skimmed past the first paragraph and missed the fact that it was a real AP story. I was nearly finished reading it before I realized it wasn't a parody! Unbelievable.

Its also known as evaporation and condensation

Moon bat what are you freaking out about? Do you not consider this article asinine?

Posted by: cowlove at April 27, 2009 9:40 AM

Those birds better watch out or Obama might decide to help them.

Posted by: Kevin R at April 27, 2009 9:51 AM

Exactly cowlove, what's to freak out about? Why is this news to you? Part of news is selling it, and there'll always be stupid stories that are essentially created to appeal to those who want fluff.

If this and shower curtains and poop are the worst things you folks have to whine about, its a good day.

But this particular asinine article is probably the first of its kind. There have never been any like it before for conservatives or dems. Great article selection today. Important stuff!

This story seems to be an indirect attempt to cast the exalted divinity of BO in the same light as the Glorious St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.

Liberals recognize no extant god aside from their bodily functions, so its not at all surprising that for them, BO serves as a meaningful substitute.

You're so much weirder today than normal.

It seems you're continuing the "SHUT UP," argument.

Silly moonbats writing dumb articles? SHUT UP!

Silly moonbats pooping in buckets? SHUT UP!

Silly moonbats painting pictures depicting Obama as Christ? SHUT UP!

If these rather apt examples of Moonbattery (which is exactly what this site is devoted to) don't represent you, then why are you so defensive?

If your main objection is that conservatives are equally ridiculous, why don't you start a site devoted to Wingnuttery, or something? Show some initiative instead of just acting like a pissed off moonbat.

Posted by: cowlove at April 27, 2009 10:21 AM

But Cowlove, if it started a website that would mean it would have to do some work.

Posted by: Kevin R at April 27, 2009 10:29 AM

Someone tried to start "Wingnuttery" but it apparently died with a pathetic whimper. There was just no good material with the necessary entertainment value to attract an audience.

Isn't there a brave editor out there willing to scrawl "PURE TREACLE. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD" over the face of this trash and send it back? Maybe not. Anyway, it made me nauseated. Just based alone on the cliches and plaigarism, it should have been rejected, even by Obama supporters.

I'm not angry, just not buying your line, man. I object exactly because I don't think its right, and I don't think sitting around with a bunch of fellow liberals taking easy pot-shots at the other side is effective or useful.

I'm not asking anyone to be quiet, and haven't at any point. I'm simply disagreeing. That's allowed, right?

Posted by: Anonymous at April 27, 2009 10:48 AM

I'm simply disagreeing. That's allowed, right?

Of course, but I still have no idea what you're disagreeing with...

The poo, the article, the shower, etc., etc. These things are all real, so where does your objection lie? In Van pointing them out?

Posted by: cowlove at April 27, 2009 10:53 AM

I don't mind silly things being pointed out at all. But the amount of venom and prejudice poured into the comments seems unnecessary and needlessly divisive.

One objection is that much of this doesn't seem worthy of anyone's time. the poo, the article, the shower. They are real, but so are many other things that I'm sure you can agree are much more important things to discuss, regardless of conservative or liberal agenda.

Another objection is that much of it doesn't seem representative of a very large group you're trying to apply it to. There are wackos everywhere doing crazy things, like your beloved Spurwing. Is it worth the time?

Really, the shower and the poo are worth your time? I guess its yours to spend how you will. I'm spending my time listening to what some alternate viewpoints are.

You and Jay make great arguments, (even if I usually still disagree) and are certainly more with current events that I am. But for a site that (to my ears) claims that all liberals are preachy and screechy and hypocritical, I hear a lot of that here.

Once their eyes are open and they lern to fly then they wont want anything to do with OBAMA THE VULTURE

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at April 27, 2009 11:24 AM

The Robins nest probably has been there the last eight years.

Posted by: Bob at April 27, 2009 11:31 AM

Moon bat, you just wrote a 5 paragraph missive about wasting ones time on Moonbattery.

BTW, who are YOU to tell me my comments are "unnecessary?" There may be someone on here waiting with bated breath to hear what I have to say (kidding). Please understand that this country hasn't been so divisive as perhaps the Civil War. It's because we're not going to lie down without a fight.

Karin writes,

"Moon bat, you just wrote a 5 paragraph missive about wasting ones time on Moonbattery.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Have some compassion for our resident "Moon bat" - If you read between the lines, the 'bat actually agrees with most of us....but has not yet come to terms with it yet, hence the "Contrarian" behavior.

"But the amount of venom and prejudice poured into the comments seems unnecessary and needlessly divisive"

In other words, RAAAACIST!!!

Come on, how can you imply that all this Obama-worship isn't crazy? That is, you IMPLY that it's not crazy by demanding that we IGNORE it. However, we can no more ignore this new RELIGION than we can ignore uncle Henry who likes to dress up in a Playboy Bunny costume and sing "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" on the roof of YOUR house every Easter.

I'm not worshipping anyone. I'm not asking that you ignore anything, just that you speak reasonably about it.

From my perspective the Bush years were full of people blindly following, and nobody would listen to me about what I thought his issues were. It seems everyone on this site is really willing to distance themselves from him, but you folks all voted for that crazy coot.

I don't know where you're getting your racism comment from KHarn. Nothing we're taking about here has anything to do with race as far as I can tell. I'm talking about political parties.

Everyone here seems ready to kill over topics like the one above. Propaganda is what it is, and doesn't fool any but the weak minded. The Bush propaganda machine certainly didn't fool me, and definitely didn't surprise me with the tactics they used. That's politics man. Its a dirty job, no matter which side you're on.

A stupid article about a nest of birds shouldn't fool you and certainly shouldn't cause you to freak out like you are.

Posted by: Moon bat at April 28, 2009 9:38 AM

BTW, just to clarify -- I didn't say anyone's comments were unnecessary, or that this site is a waste of time.

I simply think that how heated up some folks get over items like the shower curtain, etc, is a little out of whack with the silly subject matter.

I've got no issues about silly stuff being pointed out. There's no doubt that an inflatable shower curtain is a complete waste of time and money and its gross to boot.

When its presented though as a liberal, Obama, freak-show agenda, then it seems odd. It seems like you're intentionally trying to vilify fellow Americans that simply disagree with you.

At the same time that many people here are shouting "I'm a victim of the liberal agenda" they also seem to be saying "liberals are a bunch of mindless (fill in your insult here)" and basing that judgement on woven coffins? a weirdo who recycles poo? An inflatable shower curtain?

Get a grip folks.

Posted by: Moon bat at April 28, 2009 9:46 AM

"I'm not worshipping anyone."

I'm glad to hear that, but there are a lot of Liberals who will wonder if you're AGAINST THEM.

"I'm not asking that you ignore anything, just that you speak reasonably about it."

What's wrong with saying that people who treat Obama like some sort of tin god is crazy?

"I don't know where you're getting your racism comment from KHarn. Nothing we're taking about here has anything to do with race as far as I can tell. I'm talking about political parties."

I was trying to be funny. Don't you know about the "RAAACIST" argument that Liberals always fall back on when cornered?

"At the same time that many people here are shouting "I'm a victim of the liberal agenda"..."

No. conservatives don't call themselves "victims"; that's the tactic of LIBERALS. We instead say things like "Liberal policies will screw us ALL over!". There is a diffrence

But as for Liberals in general, we are talking about the ones who first appiered in the late fiftys and have gained followers in the past decades. Surely you can see that whenever someone comes up with a compleatly INSANE idea, they are usally a hard-core Liberal?
