No More "Explaining Process"
At last Nancy Pelosi has made herself useful, by succinctly explaining the significance of Benedict Arlen's despicably selfish defection to the Dems:
Very exciting, very exciting for the American people, because now we can get things done without explaining process.
For once the bloated bureaucracy is streamlining itself — by eradicating opposition and cutting the people it supposedly represents completely out of the loop.
Already the fanatics who have taken over Washington have been ramming through bills without even reading them, so that the public has no chance to put up resistance in advance. Thanks to Sphincter's treachery, the Senate will soon become a rubber stamp for the radical left.
It will take at least a century to recover from the damage this kakistocracy is doing to the country, assuming we ever do.

On a tip from DKC.

That hag should just fly out of Washington on her broom and head for Mexico City.
Now the Swine Flu is officially MEXICAN FLU - how politically incorrect of W.H.O. to do that!
I had another dream about the black woman with a guitar in the cornfield in Nebraska - this time there were rats with the face of Arlen Specter running through the field.

i like that better...

I actually don't see much changing due to Specter's "official" defection. He hasn't really been a Republican (in the generally accepted sense of the word) for years, so this isn't a change of alignment as much as a change in title. I did like his statement to the effect that the Republicans have moved hard right since the days of Reagan, and thus he no longer identifies with them. Was he paying attention at all during the big-government, Patriot-act, TARP-bailout, economic pre-socialization G. W. Bush years? If anything, the Elephants moved left, failing to oppose liberal lunacy in favor of "bi-partisanship" and "compromise", which is Latin for "the taxpayer takes it from behind." The Republicans abandoned their core principles and their constituents, and they (and we) are paying for it now.
So what of Specter, then, and his ideological shift? Given what we know of the Republican Party's leftward drift, and Specter's statement that the Republicans have moved hard right, we can only conclude that Specter has, in fact, moved so far to the left in such a short period of time that he actually outpaced the leftward movement of the Republicans. He is approaching the Liberal Speed of Light (at which point his Liberal Mass approaches infinity, I think; governmental physics has never been my strong point). This is similar to a guy I work with, who insists that the mainstream media is, if anything, slanted conservative. It looks that way to him because he himself is so far left that the MSM, by his standards, is conservative.
All in all, good riddance. Let him join Pelosi and company, for all the good it will do him. He's still going to lose in 2010.

So she is sort of saying to all those that voted in Republican representatives she will not have to consider even giving them a place at the table. The only 'American people' are Democrats. I am sure she wants us to keep working and send that money in.

"liberal speed of light" now that's some funny stuff! Seriously!
Lay off the "NYslimes" and "commie news network" CoderinCrisis here has real wit to offer up when slamming liberals. This is the kind of joke at my expense that I can laugh at.

Perfect quote for that pic:
I swear to god if one of those serfs ask me about the govenment I'll smack them upside the head with my back hand.

You can grade the critters once per day, and also write to them. I just joined today and bitchslapped a few of them.

''Sphincter's treachery''
Sphincter has been guilty of treason for years. We need to hold it to Republican officials for keeping him on board. This is what we get in the end by supporting guys in our party that are just liberal democrats with an 'r'. Flush them out! Let's have a clear delineation between our two parties. The Sphincter would have voted with the Dems on key issues anyway.

If I remember my history correctly, didn't Marie Antoinette say something similar just before she was dragged out to the guillotine? One can dream...

Really, Pelosi is only doing it for our own good. It's so taxing for us proles to be burdened with complexities such as why our government is burying us in debt.
