Demographic Doom

Future generations may not get the chance to reverse today's moonbattery. "Family planning" + uncontrolled Islamic immigration = cultural suicide, and suicide is forever.

What else do France, England, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, and Greece have in common?

They all have nukes!

Even if we stop Iran from developing them (which we certainly won't under Obama), it will only be a matter of time before the Islamofascists get their hands on nukes from another source.

History isn't linear.

Historically when reproductive rates crash, it's usually the result of a high death rate from disease, famine, or war. That isn't the case here; people just aren't reproducing. The birth rate could conceivably climb back up. There isn't any physical reason stopping it.

Sure, Islam is now the violent regressive force and Christianity is a moderate progressive force. Now. Go back 500 years and you have progressive Islamic kingdoms advancing culture and science while brutal regressive Christians repressed it. Go forward 500 years, who knows? America may be a regressive socialist theocracy while a progressive Islamic Europe colonizes Mars. Over long scales of time, cultures can shift radically.

Immigration is sure a dirty word, but what's driving it? Economics. The low birth rates means there's a demand for workers. If you spent all the resources necessary to prevent it the economy and culture would simply collapse faster.

Even more, I want to know what your proposed solution is. How are you going to get these people reproducing again? Spain has gone so far to give financial incentives; people aren't acting on them.

Preface: I don't like Islam any more then you do.

As philosophical point, if Islam "wins" by demographics, what would that indicate to you? Would it be any indication that Islam enjoyed God's favor if it were to supplant Christianity over such a broad area?

Would it be any indication that Islam enjoyed God's favor if it were to supplant Christianity over such a broad area?

The Christians I know don't think on such a retarded and simplistic level. That takes a leftist.

Posted by: V the K at April 28, 2009 2:04 AM

God likes simplicity. He gave Israel to the Israelites by the simple expedient of having them slaughter everyone who was living there at the time.

I'll follow the Bible here:

Acts 5
38 And now I say to you, Do nothing to these men, but let them be: for if this teaching or this work is of men, it will come to nothing: 39 But if it is of God, you will not be able to overcome them, and you are in danger of fighting against God.

If a person were looking at Christians in the 1st Century, he would say, obviously God favors the Roman Empire, as it controls the known world. And the Christians are but a handful of impoverished peasants.

400 years later, the mighty Roman Empire was gone.

What religion teaches us ... when we investigate the whole and not cherry pick the bits that suit us ... is that all temporal things are transient, from material wealth to geopolitical power. But truth is transcendent and eternal.

Posted by: V the K at April 28, 2009 5:47 AM

Europe is a post-Christian secularist society, that has abandoned one of the most basic eternal truths of Judeo-Christianity, which is... you must live your life for the next generation, not the present one.

Europe has let its birthrate fall below replacement levels; they have chosen three month annual vacations over parenthood. They live for the present, not the future (vanity eco-consciousness aside). When you turn from the truth, you sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.

Lefties think they can trick reality into accepting an untruth. Two men, or two women, minus artificial intervention, can not make a baby. But they'll go through the motions of pretending that a child conceived through a surrogate or a sperm donor really has two mommies or two daddies, and might even issue a little legal document that purports this to be true. But it isn't. It's a fiction. People may convince themselves to believe in it, but God and nature know otherwise.

Of the many, many distortions in this video (and major props by the way for using the same method Disney uses to explain who the bad guy is in their kids cartoon to portray Islamic immigration as evil!), let's talk about a few.

When the map highlights Great Britain, it also highlights the Republic of Ireland - if we're gonna talk about demographics, let's get the countries right, shall we, instead of dismissing the four million odd people who live in the ROI? Secondly, the TFR (Total Fertility Rate) of France is 1.98, for the UK is 1.7 and for Italy is 1.3, according to the CIA World Factbook. Thirdly, in the last UK census (2001) there were 390,000 people who identified as Jedi, making the Force the fastest growing religion in the UK. The deep voice and Persian music are all very effective, but then so was the Wizard of Oz, until someone pulled back the curtain.

So, does Ben have anything that actually refutes the thesis, or is he just throwing out a bunch of non-sequiturs like so much spaghetti against the wall?

Posted by: Gregory of Yardale at April 28, 2009 7:38 AM

Do you have anything to support this, apart from this shoddy video that is rife with inaccuracy?

Ok, let's refute this thesis. No government in the past fifty years has ever been able to predict demographic growth with ANY degree of accuracy. Demography is up there with Voodoo and Crystal Balls in terms of its ability to predict the future. This article gives graphs et al better than I could explain:

Instead of presenting the 'terrifying prospect of Muslim religious hegemony' as cold, hard, fact, this should be, at best, be seen as possible scenario (a poorly researched one). Even if it is completely accurate (which it isn't), it misses out many of the issues. Quantitative data lies just as easily as words: Russia has a huge Muslim population, as the video shows, but it is impoverished and sidelined, something that is in no way highlighted.

Where is the discussion of Muslim religious divisions? The video presents Islam as a homogeneous entity, but it is divide into Shi'a, Sunni, Sufism to name a few, each of which is itself divided into different schools. The bombing in Iraq recently of a Sunni Shrine should serve to show that Islam is by no means united.

Even without this data the best way to deal with the islamic scum is bullets dipped in pigsblood.

Sure, Islam is now the violent regressive force and Christianity is a moderate progressive force. Now. Go back 500 years and you have progressive Islamic kingdoms advancing culture and science while brutal regressive Christians repressed it.

Bullshit.

Science and culture flourished despite Islam, not because of it. Muslims had nothing but what they stole (the zero was invented by the Chinese, despite what your "progressive" professors told you), and the Crusades were a delayed reaction to centuries of naked agression from the Muslims. While Christianity may have had a brutal regressive period in its history, Islam is FOUNDED on brutality. The comparisons of Islam to Christianity and Judaism are like comparing dung to diamonds; a better analogy would be the human-sacrificing Aztecs.

Like the religion of the Aztecs, Islam was invented by men for the sole purpose of justifying militaristic expansion. Whether it's your sun god demanding human hearts on a stone altar or your moon god demanding endless jihad against "Dar-al-Harb", the result is the same: slaughter for the sake of profit. Hell, there's an entire sura of the Koran (Sura 8) dedicated to nothing but the "division of booty".

(Please note that under the 'Religion of Peace', women not only have booty, they actually are booty)

Oh, and before you go whining about "b-b-b-but in the Bible God had the Jews kill people too!".... those were very specific orders about specific groups at a specific time. There is no Biblical corollary to the "Verse of the Sword" from the Koran (9:5 "When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, allow them to go their way. Allah is forgiving and merciful.") This is a blanket command to kill non-Muslims, anytime outside Ramadan, anywhere on the planet. It has no expiration date, and the Mullahs use it to this day to justify their bloodlust.

Forgiving and merciful my ass.

Great. Then you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at April 28, 2009 9:59 AM

And just on the crusades: the Chinese did invent the zero, but medieval Islam was MILES ahead of medieval Christendom; there's no shame in this, I don't see why there would be.

When the crusaders arrived in Jerusalem in 1099, they really were a rabble of barbarians attacking the civilized world, and, like a rabble, they promptly massacred the entire population, of all denomination.

Muslim Iberia had higher levels of urbanization, higher life-expectancy by a considerable margin (almost 60, compared to a European average of between 25 and 30),and was home to the great centers of learning. To someone see historical facts as a threat to contemporary views is pointless. Today, it's Muslims who strap bombs to themselves and blow up markets in Jerusalem, a thousand years ago it was Christians who attacked peaceful trade caravans and massacred unarmed civilians.

Neither case in anyway justifies the other, and in both examples, religion was/is used as the justification. It was a perversion of faith that helped 11th century Christians murder thousands in the Holy Land, just as it is a perversion of faith that allows Muslims to be suicide bombers.

The video is interesting. I find it odd that they completely left out China. I guess given that China has been selectively aborting its daughters for years might make that math pretty darned difficult.

has anyone noticed how much the star and cresent resembles the HAMMER AND PSYCLE?

I guess given that China has been selectively aborting its daughters for years might make that math pretty darned difficult.

The math is even more difficult than we can imagine. It's a CRIME to have more than one child, so an honest census is impossible. In rural china, women regularly have 7 kids and send all but one into the woods when the census man comes around every couple years. There may be more chinese than we can possibly imagine.

LIBERALS;
The west has all abut abandoned Christianity, so why do the muslims still want to conqure us? It's not just immigration, it's also CONVERSIONS.

One of the reasons Europe fell behind in achievements (They DID create some pretty inpresive engineering feats) was because MUSLIMS had occupied about a fifth of the continent. Did you know that in the 1450s Vlad Dracula (Yes, DRACULA) was driving TURKISH MUSLIMS from the Rumanian they had conqured years before?

You Liberals see nothing wrong with any of this because you think that EVERY culture has a choice in religion. Well, islam DOES have a choice: WORSHIP OR DIE!

Do you REALLY want to be muslim? Even if you have the option to refuse, your children probobly will NOT.

Anon..your history is off by 800 years. Muhammed lived around 700 AD. Before that the Arab world was among the leaders in mathematics, architecture, astronomy...after Muhammed..nothing. You had a good point but your were off by 800 years
