Dawn Johnsen: Yet Another Depraved Obama Nominee

It's getting hard to keep up with all the unhinged radicals Chairman Zero has been appointing to high positions. One example among many is the nomination of Dawn Johnsen — who hates human life enough to equate pregnancy with slavery — to the Justice Department's Office of Legal Council.

"She's compared pregnancy to slavery and described it as involuntary servitude," Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, says. "She's compared women to no more than a fetal container." …
He cited her arguments before the U.S. Supreme Court that, "The woman is constantly aware for nine months that her body is not wholly her own: the state has conscripted her body for its own ends. Thus, abortion restrictions, 'reduce pregnant women to no more than fetal containers.'"

Anyone expressing this level of hostility toward human babies would be a fit subject for an exorcism. But as an enthusiast of abortion, she has a friend in the Moonbat Messiah:

In Obama's short tenure in office, he's already reversed the long-standing Mexico City Policy so that U.S. taxpayer dollars now can be used for abortion overseas.
He's also worked on a plan to rescind the right of doctors and physicians to not provide abortion services if it conflicts with their own religious beliefs. In addition, he has promised to work on a plan to overturn all abortion restrictions nationwide.

What do you expect of a guy who, as a State Senator, aggressively pushed to kill babies who survive botched abortions?

pregnancy as slavery??? hmmmm..... I've never heard of that. The loving, married couples that I know of who have been struggling for years and years to conceive a child would probably love to be "enslaved" with a healthy, happy baby.

"the state has conscripted her body for its own ends."

No one forced these women to become pregnant, particularly not the state.

Oh wait, forced servitude and volunteerism are the same thing to these people....

Ok, that wasn't fair, I'm sure she's a lovely person. I do wonder however if she has paid testitution to her mother for enslaving her while she was in the womb.

Hey, is she an actress? This sure looks like her:

I saw her with her hand up like Der Fuhrer, and I had to fight down the urge to shout, "Heil!"

Andrea, it's because in the la-la-land of the left, women are never responsible for their actions. A pregnancy is seen as a bit like an immaculate conception. The baby just magically appears in the womb (to cast its evil powers over the poor mother). The act which caused its creation is not considered.

You can extend this same argument to children. Parents are responsible for feeding and clothing etc their children. Clearly by the same reasoning this too is involuntary servitude.

It must be pretty terrible going through life hating children so much.

This is what I love about the left. If I was trying to satirise leftists in the most unsubtle and heavy handed manner possible, I still couldn't have come up with something as batshit mental as "pregnancy is slavery". Kudos to you crazy lady.

The scary thing here is the implication that human beings belong to the State.

Another butch lesbian in the administration. Shades of Janet Reno. Another member of the immoral majority running this country.
