Cincinnati Tea Party II
Cincinnati has come through with another successful Tea Party. Compliments of Evil Monk:

Tea Party pictures are much appreciated. I'll have some of my own from Phoenix later.

Now that's a S***load of people!! I'm so proud of all my like-minded compatriots. July 4 is on a Saturday this year. Watch out!!
You know, if newspapers and other MSM simply sniff and decline to report this, they're going to look so incredibly foolish. They think their circulation is down now?
BTW, Paul Begala called us "wimpy, whiney weasels" this morning. Guys in Walter Reed had their legs blown off for us, and we don't want to pay.

So, what did this "non-partisan (lol)" rally accomplish?

"So, what did this "non-partisan (lol)" rally accomplish?
"Posted by: Chris at April 15, 2009 1:38 PM"
I don't know, what did all the LIBERAL protests, riots and destruction of private and public property accomplish? (LOL)

The MSM and White House are scrambling to cover this all up, and it's pretty comical.
It’s not out-of-the-question that the 2009 TEA party participants could someday be regarded by history as patriots who made a difference- same as 1773. This sort of public outrage might be just what’s needed to break through the media’s manufactured reality.
Barack Obama is rapidly liquidating everything that made this country great… and needs to be put back-on-his-heels with a major embarrassment that puts an end to the myth that everybody just loves Barack and his wacked-out agenda… because millions of us DON’T.

Typical diversionary blog.
This is a common mindset, that as each thing occurs, they say - and what did that accomplish? An ongoing process doesn't 'accomplish' in the sense the diversionists want.
Walensa organises Solidarity, what did that accomplish? Darwin writes a book - what did that accomplish?
Nelson Mandela was asked "what did the French Revolution accomplish"
His reply - "It's too soon to say."

Chris...
I could ask the same question about any of a half-dozen whack-job moonbat rallies held in Washington, D. C., every single weekend. Stop the War! Food for the World! Imagine Whirled Peas! Free the Rosenbergs! Nicaragua out of Palestine! Have Bushitler drawn and quartered on pay-per-view! Insert Crazy-Ass Non-Sequitor Here!
What's the difference? Hmmm....
These 'tea-parties' were held all across the nation, not just in kook-leftist strongholds.
The attendees are not professional protesters like the bulk of the smelly left you'll see on the National Mall on any given Sunday. They are average, ordinary Americans who are so pissed off, they are motivated to go to a protest rally... many of them for the first time in their lives. Most (unlike the red-diaper hippie types) had to take a day off work to go!
This is the kind of thing that scares the bejeesus out of politicians: the average citizen up in arms, not just the radical fringe. It's kinda like how an actual, handwritten letter to your Representative/Senator counts for a hundred or a thousand emails on their "constituent mood" tally sheet. One tea partier = 100 moonbats.

Posted by: Chris at April 15, 2009 1:38 PM
As other posters have noted, the people who are attending these events all across our great nation aren`t cut from the same cloth as those you`ll find at a typical left-wing protest event. These protesters typically have jobs, mortgages, car payments, children to raise, college tuition to save for and a myriad of other things that normally would keep them from taking time out of their otherwise productive lives to attend an event of this type.
What did it accomplish? It fanned the spark of dissatisfaction that I hope will become a raging fire of dissatisfaction. I guarantee you that each of your elected congressional representatives is aware of what`s happening with these protests. Except for a very few politicians, most who achieve election to a National Office have as their first concern the goal to be re-elected when the next cycle rolls around.
One tea partier = 100 moonbats.
Posted by: hiram at April 15, 2009 2:15 PM
hiram has it right. The elected representatives who wish to be re-elected had better pay heed to these events if they wish to stand a chance when election time comes again.

Posted by: KHarn at April 15, 2009 2:08 PM
So, similar to the "liberal" protests, this staged even accomplished nothing.
At least both sides are consistent now.
Posted by: Chris at April 15, 2009 2:50 PM
The whole thing is as disingenuous as the random Bush hatred we witnessed after his inauguration.
Basically, we have exchanged the old crazies for new crazies.
I know , I know, because I disagree with Right I'm a moonbat. I disagree with the Left, and that makes me a fascists/nazi/war monger. I've heard it all.
Posted by: Chris at April 15, 2009 3:00 PM
Naaaah, Chris... it's when you agree with the left that it makes you a fascist nazi warmonger.

Actually, chris, Gibbs stated that Obama is considering cutting taxes. Does that qualify?
One day of coordination from us and we get that. 8 years of protests got you...
Is that why you're bitter?
P.S. My chest still hurts from hanging off that ledge to get those shots...
:D
Posted by: Evil Monk at April 15, 2009 3:24 PM
Tapper was touting it on Twitter a couple of hours ago. Obama is caving some.
Posted by: Evil Monk at April 15, 2009 3:35 PM
Evil Monk,
I must have missed the memo to go protest for 8 years, so I wouldn't know what it would have gotten me.
Posted by: Chris at April 15, 2009 4:53 PM
Actually, chris, Gibbs stated that Obama is considering cutting taxes.
If that's true, it's purely diversionary.
Think about it: we've already spent and have committed trillions of dollars to these bailouts, stimuli(?), and direct payments to states.
That money is coming from somewhere, and there are only three possibilities:
1.) Tax revenue
2.) T-Bills
3.) Printing press
2 and 3 are unsustainable, period.
So let him say all he wants he's going to cut taxes. He quite literally, can't. This is his way of saying, "oogedy boogedy look over here," while the main issue goes unnoticed by idiots like Chris.
Chris, these events got like-minded people together to vent their frustrations and concerns, and explore solutions, together. The fact that non-activists got together like this, all of their own volition, is the accomplishment. Take your sour grapes and suck on them elsewhere.
Posted by: cowlove at April 15, 2009 4:55 PM
Cow-love,
You are right. The truth is that we need to cut spending not taxes.
Sorry, I was just floating from a great day.
Gibbs (according to Tapper) did say taxes were to be cut. Missed point, yes, but a notice from The One.
Chris, sorry about the jab. Unfair? Perhaps. You must understand though, "crazies" aside, folks of all types came to protest spending our way out of debt.
It doesn't make sense on any level.
I can me big enough to apologize. I haven't slept in a LONG time. Big day, hard work.
Olive branch...
Posted by: Evil Monk at April 15, 2009 5:18 PM
No need to apologize Monk. In all fairness, if Obama is feeling some heat and throwing up token tax cuts, that in and of itself is something to celebrate.
Posted by: cowlove at April 15, 2009 5:22 PM
Hey, if these protest accomplish tax cuts, I will admit I am wrong.
I'm not sure its pittance enough, considering the bailouts from both his Highness, and Dubya.
Posted by: Chris at April 15, 2009 6:22 PM
Awesome!
I wonder if my aunt and uncle who went to the first Cincinnati Tea Party went to this one, too?
I myself went to the Orlando Tea Party, and had an awesome time. Here's my after- action report on it:

Spot on.
I should probably suck it up and apologize for calling you an idiot. So, I'm sorry.

I did not notice you were in Phx. until your note at the bottom of this post. It would be a laugh to know we may have mutual friends. I actually went to a party today, and it was pretty mild. I drank my tea, and questioned why opposing taxes and defending the free market was appropriate to do at a public park. I received no answer. Like I said, I am sure many of these were well intentioned, however, they were hijacked by corporate sponsorship, conspiracy theorists and others. I suggest while my ilk enjoys this, come up with a plan! Tea Time!
Posted by: Anonynouse at April 15, 2009 7:37 PM
"Corporate sponsorship"...
You mean like Miller Beer at the Faggot Parades in San Francisco?
Funny - I don't see a single beer stand in any of the pictures or news converage.
Gee Whiz, anon. You must be competely full of shit flavored kool aid.
Dumbass.

What were you expecting? Terrorism? We'll leave that to the left.
I drank my tea, and questioned why opposing taxes and defending the free market was appropriate to do at a public park. I received no answer.
Are you surprised that you didn't get an answer? Did you consider that maybe your question was nonsense?
Go do some research and try to uncover exactly what a "public park" is. Focus on the word public.
If this is indicative of the opposition, we have absolutely nothing to be worried about.
Posted by: cowlove at April 15, 2009 8:50 PM
And unlike what happened in SEATTLE where hundreds of eco-freak moonbats gathered to riot, vandalize and loot this didnt happen with the TEA PARTY at all
