Seventh-Grade Teacher Shares Perversion With Class
A public school teacher has earned the slobbering approval of the New York Slimes by inviting his 7th grade class to attend his "commitment ceremony" to another homosexual:
In Harlem a week ago, a 32-year-old math teacher handed out slips of paper inviting the entire seventh grade of Columbia Secondary School to his upcoming ceremony, where, the names on the invitation made clear, he'd be celebrating his commitment to another man. The teacher, Chance Nalley, rarely wastes an instructional opportunity but said that, in this particular instance, he wasn't trying to make an educational statement.
It's okay for Nalley to share his perverse sexuality with his pubescent students because his school's "mission statement includes a commitment to diversity." The Times rounded up kids who dutifully approved, as they had been trained:
Were they surprised to learn he was gay?
"He's not gay," said Japhet Guzman, 12.
"No," agreed a lanky 13-year-old who walked with a bit of a tough-guy swagger, "he's not gay. He's bisexual. Why don't you ask him?" (Mr. Nalley confirmed this.)
Why would anyone tell children about his sexual inclinations (other than to get a glowing write-up from the Gray Lady)?
Mr. Nalley said six students have come out to him this year.
Homeschooling just keeps looking better and better.

On a tip from Byron.

Good gosh he looks like a complete dork why would the school officials even allow this jerk anywhere near any kids?

All I can say is THANK GOD I didn't bring children into this f*cked up world...

Since when is letting students know your sexuality part of the curriclum? Also like some 12 year old really knows about their sexuality. More than likely they "came out" so they would feel welcome by the teacher. The scary thing is I'm sure he would welcome the kids in a sick way.

I guess I'm old fashioned, but I think that teachers should be completely asexual, like your parents.
6 kids have already come out, oh please. Farmer is right, they were looking for approval. Plus, ya know, it's so hip to be gay. Being a perceived victim is just ooooooodles of fun.

Have you ever noticed that when men are injected with male sperm, they develope this weird skin tone and receding hairlines on their foreheads?

Thank God he's not wasting classroom time on teaching math.

"OK, class, how many times can one boy go into another boy?"
Kids (in unison): "A whole bunch, depending on how many poppers he's had!"
Teacher (proudly): "Correct!"

Homeschooling is looking better and better the more stories like this come out.

I was gonna ask why don't the parents go to the PTA or the school board about it to get this sodomite fired, but then I looked again and saw it was Harlem so...... nevermind.

Apparently when you come out, the gay army provides you with nice clothes and a stylist.

Well, I hope he brought enough for everyone.

Some of you should actually READ the NY Times article. This not only required parental consent BUT the parents were invited.
Two parents sent e-mail messages to Dr. Maldonado-Rivera (the principal) to complain about Mr. Nalley’s invitation. Dr. Maldonado-Rivera explained to them that he saw the school as an extended family and that the invitation was in that spirit. And that was the end of the controversy, such as it was.
BTW, academically, this is one of the very best high schools in entire state of NY. Students score extraordinarily high on SATs. The graduation rate is remarkable and almost all graduates go on to college.

How incredibly inappropriate. How selfish. How smug. How typical of a moonbat.

David you ingnorant liberal,
You miss the point. This is indoctrination, not extending the family. A teacher should never tell their sexuality to the students, period. Whatever he wants to do in his private life who cares, but keep this shit away from children. Children will grow up and get out on their own and eventually make their own decisions on homosexuality. It should not be shoved down their throats as it has been.

I refuse to sign in to that poxy rag.

A school is not an extended family. Got it? Even if this teacher were normal, he shouldn’t invite his class into his personal life. It’s unprofessional. A teacher is in a position of authority, much like a cop or a judge, and therefore it’s inappropriate to include his personal life or his politics, much less his sexual kinks, into his work. Suppose a judge regaled his courtroom with an account of his sexual life or politics. Can you see the problem?
(Btw, when I got married not only did I not invite any of my students, they did not even know about it. And that’s as it should be.)

Interesting, but irrelvant.

Studying fashion or interior decorating, by any chance? Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Farmer Ted's post appeared when I submitted mine, but I agree with him 100%.

I could care less about him being gay. I support gay marriage. But I don't see a reason for a teacher to talk about their sexuality in school.

I agree with the person who said teachers should be "asexual." In a way, that's right. No teacher should ever discuss his/her sexuality, relationship status, marriage, etc with students. It's NOT the time or place. Also, no teacher should be socializing outside of school with students. It's not appropriate. (even if it were a straight wedding) I would have felt very weird and oogy if any teacher of mine had ever invited me to a wedding.
However, personally, I don't like the violent ways of talking against the teacher. I don't think it really helps our cause to say he should be shot or killed or fired, or to say he looks like a dork. etc... I'm straight, and I look like a nerd. And my teaching credentials are not based on the way I look, thank goodness.

We agree for the most part. They're called "trolls", and we try not to acknowledge them.
