How do you define "moderate Taliban"? A Taliban member who only carbombs, beheads, and honor kills a little bit?

"In it for the money" is a good description of a lot of armies. Even in a poor country, a little is a lot better then nothing.

Most people are still people. Under different leadership, most Afghanis could be (relatively) peaceful and relatively friendly to the US.

What should we do Parker? My take is simple. Nothing. The entire middle east is rampant with Islamic assholes who are going to kill each other no matter what. I think we should pack up our stuff, get out, stop sending them money and weapons, and stop importing their citizens. If in the future, we are threatened or attacked, we bomb the shit out of the offenders. Real bombs, not this carpet bomb B.S. Their collateral damage would be better than a single dead U.S. soldier. But that's just my take.

Imagine someone in our Government during WW II saying well only 5 % of the SS are really bad and 70 % are only in it for the money. They would have been drummed out of public life.

1) Afghanis=Afghan money. Afghans=Afghan people.

2) Having been there, I can attest that most Afghans are indeed peaceful, and friendly to the US.

3) "Afghan" does not equal Taliban.

4) No one ever suggested to, "kill them all..." with respect to Afghans.
