Our Government: Our Enemies' Friend, Our Friends' Enemy
People profoundly hostile to America have taken control of the American government, producing a bizarre foreign policy situation in which friends are treated as enemies and enemies as friends. Obama's eagerness to shower our money upon Palestinians and appalling rudeness toward Britain are hardly the only examples. Take Cuba and Colombia:
The $410 billion Omnibus spending bill, now working its way through the Senate for a second time, contains a buried provision to ease U.S. economic sanctions on the island.
Cuban-Americans will be given special travel privileges to visit relatives on Cuba, and be able to send unlimited remittances. Restrictions on food and medicine sales will be dropped, and goods sent to Cuba may even qualify for U.S. trade credits.
The Castro dictatorship, which controls all economic activity in Cuba, would no doubt benefit handsomely from this. Fees skimmed from remittances would beef up state coffers by the billions, while trade credits will let Cuba buy our goods with our money. Spies, too, will have a field day with freer travel.
And in return for all this, Castro gives … nothing.
Colombia is a free country that has been an enormous help against terrorim and the drug trade, and has put its own soldiers into combat on our behalf. All it wants in return is a free trade agreement, which it has been promised repeatedly, but it won't be getting one from the current regime.
Cuba, by contrast, urged Russia to unleash nuclear attacks on the U.S. in 1962 and again in 1981. It attempted to unleash a 9/11-style terror attack on Manhattan's subways in 1962 before the plot was foiled. It sheltered terrorists and drug dealers, not to mention U.S. fugitives. It now conducts active spying operations against the U.S., plans Russian bases, and undermines the U.S. at the U.N.
Cuba is a communist police state, where you can be imprisoned or killed for advocating the freedoms available in Colombia. That our government would side with it while shafting Colombia sheds terrifying light on what's going on in Washington.
On a tip from Byron.

Marxist Paradise indeed.

I have only two questions.
What does Cuba has to trade with us? Nothing. Enough said.
What does Columbia have? A few things, including something rather important, OIL!

Honestly, what's it going to take for Obama's actions to fall under Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution?

LOL I am so glad that someone threw up a link to this website. Your paranoid aspersions and delusions of grandeur are just classic.
You honestly think the US is being taken over by communists and that you folks are the last stand for freedom.
I honestly can't imagine what your lives are like. You must spend every moment quaking in fear, looking our your windows for the red threat. Self imposed exile from mainstream society. Are you guys writing this website from a bunker in Montana right now, planning the next anthrax attack or Oklahoma city or church shooting? Strange how you call the liberals terrorist lovers, yet all acts of domestic terrorism in the last ten years have been committed by conservatives.
Oh, that's right, the anthrax attacks were only terrorism when you thought Muslims did it. When it was discovered it was a "pro life" Catholic, suddenly it wasn't terrorism anymore. Isn't THAT convenient.

LOL, I love how the conservatives are trying to make it seem like Obama actually pissed off England.
Read the BBC. Read the British Press. No one over there is condemning Obama or the US. No one over there is wailing about the appalling rudeness. Sure they're making fun of Obama for giving Brown DVDs in exchagne for Brown's very thoughtful historical gift. As they should. It was stupid. But aside from poking fun at America for that, no one is offended.
What is it with conservatives and getting offended on other people's behalfs, when the people in question don't give a shit. You guys went ballistic at Obama's election as being a move against Jews and Israelis, yet something like 90% of Jews voted for Obama, and his approval rating in Israel is very high, much higher than Bush.
But hey, if you want to waste your time being offended about things that the people actually involved in the situations don't find offensive, be my guest. It's only your own time and emotional stability you're wasiting.

You know you really have to love the monnbats and all of thier non-biased references to support their bleating.

Most of Britain has gone Moonbat as they prepare to surrender to their new Muslim overlords. Had Bush done the DVD thing all the Moonbats would be bleating about how much of a rube he was. Obama does it and its no big deal. DVD sets are cheap thoughtless gift you give to relatives you dont like all that much.

Anonymous. I don't give what the British press think. A majority of Brits think Winston Churchill was a fictional character and Sherlock Holmes was real, so I don't care there either. I care that this man in office humiliated me and every other American by his disgraceful reception of a foreign dignitary. I am ashamed and appalled at this.
Don't get me wrong, I hate Brown and his socialist policies, and his labor party destroying Briton, but regardless, what Obama did was disrespectful, but worthy of a man-child.
AC
PS: had Bush done this, you would be squealing like a little girl.

Dinko we're just returning the favor of 8 years of crying you libacrits did when Bush was president. You reap what you sow.

We must be hitting them where it hurts... notice how the troll numbers are waaaay up? If we really were just fringe whackos, their numbers would be waaaay down, and we'd be ignored. It's fun stirring up hornets. Well... the kind without stingers.

You liberals seem to have no response to the article, however, just mocking condensation.

Will OBAMA and CASTRO be smoking cigars together sometime soon?
Posted by: Spurwing Plover at March 11, 2009 1:18 PM
Seems to me it's just one or two trolls, anonymous. The style doesn't seem too different from one to the next, and none of them seem to have a cogent argument.
Oh. Sorry, I forgot. They're Obamazombies. Yeah, I guess it could be a whole lot of 'em. Not known for original thinking, you know.

Frame job on both Hatfill and Ivins, IMHO.
Salon magazine ran a story by Laura Rozen on January 26, 2002, which reported that Zack was among those: "eager to continue working on projects USAMRIID said they should stop. What followed, the documents reveal, were scientists sneaking into the Army biowarfare lab to work on pet projects after-hours and on weekends, former workers like Zack, who left in 1991, still being let in to do lab work, pressure applied to technicians to help out, documents going missing, and deliberate mislabeling of specimens among other efforts to hide unsanctioned lab work."
So, Anonymous troll: don't bring religion into this. I know you liberals jerks can't wait to trash Christians but I never hear you lambaste Muslims or Jews in the same manner. I guess that is 'bad form' but Christians are all open season for your hatred and vitriol.
Vent your miserable spleens elsewhere.

So let me get this straight -- conservatives are supposed to wait for a cue from the BBC before mentioning Pres. Obama's appalling unprofessionalism, and lack of tact for an actual allied leader? It's okay for America to have a complete f*ckwit for a chief executive as long as the British press doesn't notice?
And if you'd read the news at the time it was reported that the Brown government were "fuming." Even if they weren't -- even if they didn't care -- that still wouldn't change the fact that Obama is an imbecile and a douchebag, and we told you leftards this all along. It's kinda why we wanted people to vote against him, ya see?

You honestly think the US is being taken over by communists and that you folks are the last stand for freedom.
Hm.. The international left (and I include Democrats in that catch-all, so no semantics thanks) has been alternatively quaking in fear and raging against the machine since the 1960s, about the US' imperialist ambitions -- the last six years or so in particular.
Countries annexed by the US in the last century: Zero.
Countries annexed by communist states in the last century ... Um .. yeah.
But we're the paranoid ones. Just keep telling yourself that.
I honestly can't imagine what your lives are like. You must spend every moment quaking in fear, looking our your windows for the red threat.
Yeah, how stupid of us.
We should be like those super-smart lefties, who are constantly looking out their windows waiting for George Bush and Halliburton to declare martial law, and waiting for the earth's atmosphere to burn off because people drive SUVs and eat hamburgers.
Those are much more rational fears than Communism.
After all, it's only a trans-national political and economic movement that has successfully conquered dozens of countries, gained power over hundreds of millions of people, and been the most aggressively expansionary entity of the last hundred years.

It wasn't 90 percent of Jews who voted for Obama, it was about 75 percent -- still a large majority.

I love when lefties try to make arguments like this. No serious person fails to notice that unlike the right where there's the odd trailer park whacko, the most insane behavior on the left comes from the ranks of the educated. It is testament to the cultural sickness on the left that lunatics like Ayers and Dorn are tenured professors. The Unabomber had a Phd. And I'm sure all the leftist kooks who infest WTO summits while hiding their faces read all the same homo scribblings that you do. Though I'm not sure about the progressive loon who tried to set off a bomb at the Republican convention this year, he may not have finished college yet.
