Another Obama appointed tax cheat bites the dust

Health and Human Services nominee Kathleen Sebelius recently corrected three years of tax returns and paid more than $7,000 in back taxes after finding "unintentional errors" — the latest tax troubles for an Obama administration nominee. The Kansas governor explained the changes to senators in a letter dated Tuesday that the administration released. She said they involved charitable contributions, the sale of a home and business expenses.

Dem judge convicted on 57 counts of raping prisoners, plays race card defense

A former south Alabama judge is accused of checking male inmates out of jail and forcing them to engage in sexual activity including paddling, according to officials and court documents.

The indictments total 57 counts, and the charges range from ethics violations to kidnapping, extortion, sex abuse and sodomy. If convicted on the most serious charge -- kidnapping, a Class A felony -- Thomas faces a prison sentence of 10 to 99 years in prison, Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson Jr. said Monday.

But Thomas' attorney, Robert Clark, said Friday the accusations against the former judge amount to "a high-tech lynching."

"Did you ever think of the fact that this is the only black circuit judge we've ever had in Mobile County and that the right-wing Republicans have gotten rid of him?" Clark said at a news conference, portions of which were posted on the Web sites of CNN affiliates WKRG-TV in and WALA-TV.

"This is racism at its very finest."

In fact, the South Carolina Republican Party had to come out today and clarify that red-and-white yard signs cropping up recently bearing the message “Take the Stimulus Funds, Impeach Sanford” (with the SCGOP’s name and phone number) are fakes.

“These are NOT SCGOP signs, not authorized by the SCGOP and not paid for the SCGOP,” party executive director Jay W. Ragley said in an e-mail distributed to Republican activists. “It’s shameful politics by the Democrats.”

It's a job where you want a strong defender of America's sovereignty. But that's not Koh. He's a fan of "transnational legal process," arguing that the distinctions between US and international law should vanish.

What would this look like in a practical sense? Well, California voters have overruled their courts, which had imposed same-sex marriage on the state. Koh would like to see such matters go up the chain through federal courts -- which, in turn, should look to the rest of the world. If Canada, the European Human Rights Commission and the United Nations all say gay marriage should be legal -- well, then, it should be legal in California too, regardless of what the state's voters and elected representatives might say.

Yes, I saw the segment on Koh last night on Glenn. Truly frightening. Please, everybody, make noise about this. I know it seems like those awful goons in Congress pay no attention, but I guess this is our process.
I'm having a hard time deciding on my teaparty sign, there's so much material to cover.

Another topic: The NY 20th race to replace Gillibrand is neck and neck. The D ahead by just 65 over the R. They're going to count the absentee ballots, which are expected to be heavily R. Jesus, a landslide would have been nice. The downstaters have been drifting north, bringing moonbattery with them.

Karin, from what I've heard about the NY-20 campaign, the Republican is a RINO, he's a member of a state legislature that's passing whomping tax increases in the midst of a recession, he's waffled all over the place, and the RNC has run his campaign very, very badly. I don't think Obama is literally Satan, although it's becoming apparent that his authoritarian statist ideology is rotten and it invariably ends very badly - in absolute evil in many cases.

I heard the song the other day and it reminded me of Obama yukking it up on 60 Minutes while he does everything he can to implement his collectivist vision.

Why is Satan an analogy?
