In the land of crime plagued Oakland California, people held a vigil on Tuesday for a fallen comrade in arms. Oh sure they held a vigil for the 4 cops that were slain on 3/23, but this vigil was for the child raping cop muderer, Lovelle Mixon, who executed 2 motorcycle cops and then fled and waited in ambush to rack up some bonus bodies. He was out on parole but it had been revoked and he had a no bail warrant out on him. His DNA has been connected with a violent rape at gunpoint of a 12 year old girl. There will probably be more connections to other rapes by Lovelle to come.
The march was repete with protest signs such as, "Stop Police Terror." and chants of "OPD you can't hide - we charge you with genocide!"
Of course these folks are so morally inverted that they can make statements like Mr Darnell's;
Lolo Darnell, one of Mixon's cousins at the demonstration, said, "He needs sympathy too. If he's a criminal, everybody's a criminal."

Hey guys. Don't know if you remember me, but I just wanted ya'll to know I finished BCT(army boot camp.)I ship out to my AIT station tomorrow. It really sucks being in the dark as far as news goes.
Just a quick story I found:
* Drug violence: Views from Mexico*
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7963448.stm
"I don't think the US government's decision to militarise the borders is right. The US authorities don't respect Mexican migrants, they consider them a hassle."
Gee, I wonder why. Anyway, it's good to be able to use a computer for a few minuntes to check up on what I missed out. Hopefully the next time I check this place out, I'll be part-way or completely done with AIT and on my way to my first unit. Wish me luck!

Lolo Darnell, one of Mixon's cousins at the demonstration, said, "He needs sympathy too. If he's a criminal, everybody's a criminal."
To the contrary, Lolo, not all of us kill people who are just doing their job.

Television adverts for abortions will be allowed for the first time under the biggest shake-up of advertising rules for 50 years. In a move which the advertising watchdog acknowledges will offend members of the public, adverts for pregnancy advisory services will be allowed in prime-time evening slots on the major channels: ITV, Channel 4, Sky and other broadcasters.
Britain’s biggest independent pregnancy advisory service, whose clinicians also perform abortions, said it would immediately consider running adverts.
“Absolutely,” said Julie Douglas, the head of marketing at Marie Stopes International. “I don’t know if we could afford to do it in prime-time TV, but it would be a very interesting thing to do.”

Updates: Barney, Sexting, Abortion, North Korea
Another attempt to keep up with important people and significant events in the news:
Rep. Barney Frank, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, who has long been servicing himself as well as being serviced in a variety of ways, has held center stage in his committee’s hearings this week and now has been given a well-deserved if dubious award.
And, no, it’s not Hypocrite of the Month, which title in March should be reserved for Sen. Chris Dodd, although Barney would be a close second. Ol’ Barn has been presented with the “Porker of the Month” award, not based on his corpulence but rather for his criticizing AIG bonuses while he has long avidly supported bailouts of “troubled” banks and other financial institutions: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=45633.
Citizens Against Government Waste, CAGW, a group faced with a formidable task, announced that, “Even in this global capital of hot air, bait-and-switch politics, and double-talk, Chairman Frank deserves [that] singular recognition.”
We couldn’t agree more. See “Barney, Antonin, and Homophobia,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=920 and “Hypocrisy, Thy Name Is Liberal,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=911.
The sexting craze and its companion craze of unabashed, shared nudity among teenagers has hit home for at least one 14 year old Jersey girl who faces child pornography charges for posting 30 nude pictures of herself on MySpace: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Girl-Charged-With-Child-Porn-for-Posting-Nude-Pics-of-Self.html.
Originally thought to be the work of a child predator, the child herself turned out to be the porn purveyor although she said she merely “posted the pictures for her boyfriend’s pleasure.” Other reports say she wanted to get even with him for something. Hey! She’s 14. Don’t try to make sense of that.
Jersey girl might actually have been saved from even greater harm to herself, considering the suicide of another teen, Jessica Logan, because of a similar lapse of good judgement as seen in “Teen Texting, Sexting, and Suicide,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=924. . .

Some of you may have seen the major news story of the private plane that crashed into a Montana cemetery, killing 7 children and 7 adults.
But what the news sources fail to mention is that the Catholic Holy Cross Cemetery owned by Resurrection Cemetery Association in Butte - contains a memorial for local residents to pray the rosary, at the 'Tomb of the Unborn'. This memorial, located a short distance west of the church, was erected as a dedication to all babies who have died because of abortion.
What else is the mainstream news not telling you? The family who died in the crash near the location of the abortion victim's memorial, is the family of Irving 'Bud' Feldkamp, owner of the largest for-profit abortion chain in the nation.
The plane went down on Sunday, killing two of Feldkamp's daughters, two sons-in-law and five grandchildren along with the pilot and four family friends. The plane, a single-engine turboprop flown by Bud Summerfield of Highland, crashed into the Catholic cemetery and burst into flames, only 500 ft. from its landing destination. All aboard were killed.
