Man, the last gasp of a political party. Watch them spin, watch them spin.
You turn to an online MSNBC poll. As has been pointed out already, this was a non scientific poll in which anyone could vote as many tiems as they wanted.
HERE is another poll ALSO reported by MSNBC, for the same time period as this online poll, conducted in a scientific manner by the Wall Street Journal, arguably the nation's most conservative major publication:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29493021/
It reports a 68% approval rating, with 47% reporting that they view Obama "very farborably"
Denial apparently is not a river in Egypt here.
Posted by: Anonymous at March 11, 2009 9:10 AM
yikes obviously that should have been "favorably"

Yeah, but the morning sun glints off Obamas chiseled pectorals as he shoot hoops, isnt that all that really matters?

Hey, thanks Greg of Yarddale for listing my site. But I am dead friggin' serious when I posted that. Saw the article over at the Politico website after Mark Levin had talked about it last night, and it makes me wonder. Are we all who do not kiss the ring of Dear Leader in for a "Joe The Plumber" treatment?? I shudder to think.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/106426/Bush-Job-Approval-28-Lowest-Administration.aspx
Bush's first/second year approval (Gallup) was 68% and 71% overall. Give Obama time, he will implode even faster. You dont run 1-2 trillion deficits for 4 years (using his optimistic projections) and not run into huge problems with soaring inflation and interest rates when other countries and domestic investors stop lending money to a bankrupt US government to fund his pie in the sky giveaway programs.
I guess Obama could pull a Hugo Chavez and shut down all opposition media and dictate what the remaining media says he could then declare himself President for Life and remain in power no matter how bad things get. I suppose.

Feb. China auto sales jump 25% - due to tax cut.
Feb. USA auto sales fall 39$ - due to tax hike.
I wonder who is on the right track to lead the world back out of this depression.

Texting, Sexting, and Suicide
Let’s face it, as any parent or teacher knows, teenagers can be a delight, and they can be horror. It all comes with the territory, the maturation process, as they test the limits, push the envelopes, and drive parents to drink and distraction.
The horror part was recently accented in an article titled, “Teen Commits Suicide–Is Texting to Blame?” (http://www.lemondrop.com/2009/03/06/teen-commits-suicide-is-sexting-to-blame/) That title is misleading as seen in this article which recounts the story of Ohio teen, Jessica Logan, who evidently did not end her life because of texting, but more precisely because of “sexting.”
Jessica, 18, had made it through the worst of teenage years, the high school years, but she had left behind a legacy, a history which by today’s standards wasn’t exceptional, except to Jessica. She had made the mistake of taking texting to the new, popular extreme of sexting, the craze of many of her peers which involves text messaging suggestive pictures of themselves to bf’s (boyfriends) and bff’s (best friends forever, in teenie lingo).
Jessica sexted compromising picture(s) of herself to a boyfriend who, following their almost inevitable breakup, forwarded them to hundreds of other girls. What Jessica and other girls–and the craze is largely though not exclusively confined to girls–forgot is that nothing is forever, especially true loves and best friends at that stage of their young lives.
Described as vivacious, fun, artistic, compassionate, and a good kid by her mom, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29546030/, which Jesse no doubt was, her lack of discretion and foresight are easily forgiveable, given her age and the perverse popularity of sexting in her set, but the consequences to her proved overwhelming. . . .

Obama’s War on Law Enforcement in Arizona
Let’s see now. A certain group of criminals is known to break certain laws. A certain law enforcement agency therefore targets that criminal group. Certain agitators for that group complain that they are being targeted. A certain president intervenes on the side of the lawbreakers against that enforcement agency.
That all makes sense, right?
Well, it makes sense if the lawbreakers, their kin, and associates constitute a significant voting bloc, if the enforcer is “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Maricopa County’s and Phoenix’ Joe Arapaio, and if the interlopers are representatives of an attorney general named Eric Holder and the president is a guy named Obama.
Sheriff Arapaio and his approach to enforcing the laws of the State of Arizona is fundamentally to enforce the laws of Arizona, which are in place because the federal government is loath to enforce federal laws relating to the same crime: illegal entry by foreigners into the United States, part of which is Arizona. In so doing, he has, once again, incurred the wrath of the feds for picking up the slack and showing the feds how to do their jobs.
This still make sense? Less and less so, I’m afraid.
The sheriff was the subject of a previous article here, “Sheriff Joe and His Enemies,” which focused on his various enemies, who range from resident representatives of illegal aliens to the ACLU and other extra-Arizonan defenders of criminal rights: http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=885.
Those defenders have now been joined by none other than President Barack Hussein Obama’s Justice Department, which is headed by none other than terrorist-supporter Attorney General Eric Holder who also was the subject of a previous report here concerning his reference to America as “a nation of cowards:” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=900.
Specifically, our Justice Department has put Sheriff Arapaio on notice that it “will investigate his department over allegations of discrimination and unconstitutional searches and seizures. . . . investigators will focus on alleged patterns of police discrimination based on national origin:” http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=44863.
It’s sufficiently absurd that the federal government is intervening with a state entity trying to enforce federal and state statutes and, in the process, keep Arizona and the nation safe from drug smugglers, other criminals, and possible terrorist elements.
Compounding that unwarranted interference, . . .

Since when has political acumen come from simply being popular?
Politics should never be a f#cking beauty contest. It should be about ability; not perfection in performance but ability.
In that, Obama fails (as have most Presidents since Bush Sr.) miserably but popularity is all the libtards can think about and the only thing that is 'substantive' about Chairman Zero that they can point to.
Sad, really...

Obama Issues His Own Signing Statement!
On another potentially controversial matter, the president also issued a "signing statement" with the bill, saying several of its provisions raised constitutional concerns and would be taken merely as suggestions. He has criticized President George W. Bush for often using such statements to claim the right to ignore portions of new laws, and on Monday he said his administration wouldn't follow those issued by Bush unless authorized by the new attorney general.
But its okay when Chairman Zero does it. He's doing it for Hope n' Change™!
LOL @ even more hypocrisy from the 0bama Admin.
This is just the beginning.

Flashback: Carville Wanted Bush to Fail
The press never reported that Democratic strategist James Carville said he wanted President Bush to fail before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. But a feeding frenzy ensued when radio host Rush Limbaugh recently said he wanted President Obama to fail.
On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, just minutes before learning of the terrorist attacks on America, Democratic strategist James Carville was hoping for President Bush to fail, telling a group of Washington reporters: "I certainly hope he doesn’t succeed."

LA Times ignores 15000 anti Obamanomics protest rally
Between now and the May 19 election, we plan extensive coverage of both sides of the campaign over the ballot initiatives. We’ll explain the issues, tell readers what both sides are saying, figure out where the money is coming from to pay for the campaigns on both sides and show people what’s at stake. What we’re not likely to do is cover a lot of individual rallies — from either side. That’s not a political thing. We don’t cover a lot of government-worker rallies in favor of tax hikes, either. That doesn’t mean we’re not interested in the issue or that we have any disrespect for the people who attend the rallies (or the people who organize them).
