Moonbat Bureauweenies Won't Allow Wind or Solar Either

In case you thought our moonbat rulers have any attention of allowing us to generate energy even if we do it inefficiently:

In a move that could pit usual allies — environmentalists and the solar and wind industries — against each other, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is preparing legislation that would permanently put hundreds of thousands of acres of desert land off limits to energy projects.

We can't have solar or wind production in the Mojave because someone might step on a desert tortoise. Admittedly, the landscape is beautiful, and solar/wind boondoggles can have a larger footprint than vastly more efficient but largely forbidden oil drilling.

It looks like the pixie dust generated by Obama's teleprompter will have to meet all of our energy needs.

On a tip from Gregory of Yardale.

Can we just finish building out Palo Verde from three units to eight units, like it was originally designed for? Five more big nuclear reactors would go a long ways to helping out California's power problems, and that footprint is already there.

You can't tell me that the turtles wouldn't love the shade. This is probably forward thinking on her part in preparation for CA's coming population contraction. Many working folks are presently looking for the exit door.

Of course we saw this coming a mile away. Jonah Goldberg once said that the left is a coalition of idealogues, while the right is an idealogical coalition. So, the left has one million fronts to fight on, and will inevitably clash. We saw it with Prop 8, and we'll see it when anyone tries to put the yoke of regulation on Mother Nature.

OMB, I'd be looking for the exits damn fast if I lived there. Beautiful beaches can be found elsewhere! Who needs it?

These EnviorNazis will never be happy. It doesn’t matter what we do. They just want all of us to be miserable like them and feel the guilt of our existence. I will run my car just a little longer in honor of the loss of their sanity.

Dear "green" Liberals;

What's "plan B"?

It's simple: their goal is to diminish the greatness of America. We are simply not worthy. They'd even the playing field and have us economically equal to the third world.
