Emetic Calendars

May there be mercy on us — this actually seems to be on the level:

Or maybe it isn't. Here are a couple of images taken from a PDF of the Prayers for the President 2009 Devotional Calendar:

Because God knows he needs it.

Too bad it wasn't more widely exposed before the election.

Hold on, the second one has been replaced:

I wonder why they felt the need to make the change. It looks like the calendar is on the level after all.

On a tip from marasmius.

I think they made an error.

Everywhere you see the word "God" should actually be "Satan"

The tone of this calendar seems to be quite theocratic.

I think ide rather throw darts at them then use them as calaendars

The curious thing, oft-noted, is that liberals think conservatives are evil, whereas conservatives think liberals are merely uninformed, silly, or childish.

The still more curious thing is that liberals get upset when conservatives characterized someone or some action as "evil." Conservatives calling terrorists "evil" incenses them, but their calling conservatives "evil" for disagreeing with them strikes them as appropriate.

Strange. Very strange indeed.

I can see why someone would pray for the Messiah to have the wisdom to expose evil. After all, He'd been hanging wiht Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers for decades, so clearly He needs help in this regard.

Whats this thing about?

I don't get it. Granted, when I see Obama or hear him talk I immediately think "What nonsense are you spouting this time?"

What are liberals doing mixing religion and government? That is against there religion... oh - wait - Obama IS their religion...

So - is prayer in school suddenly okay?

Hmmm... curious - maybe prayer in school is now okay as long as it is to a government sponsored little brown god????

ALL HALE YOUR GOD OBAMA!!! (or die.)

I never saw what the problem with prayer in school was. Or peaceful demonstrations in their free time on school grounds. Is it really that offensive?

I mean, forcing non-religious students to pray is one thing, but not allowing religious students to pray on their own time? Lame.

Libs are too easily offended. Maybe thats just their battle plan: Pretend you're offended by something and outraged at its blatant racism/sexism even though there isn't any until its taken down and the people who did it are arrested.

You hit the nail on the head, Cheesecake. Being offended is a powerful tool to get what you want.

Well, in all fairness, I do indeed pray for Obama quite often (And, as most people here can testify, I'm a regular here and routinely criticize Obama's policies), and I started doing so on election night when the returns started making it clear clear that he was going to win. I pray that the Lord will give him wisdom and guidance, and that he'll be able to hopefully make decisions based on what would best bring about God's will for our country, rather than based on Obama's own ideology or on what's popular at the time.

That's good of you, Anonymous. I wish I could be so charitable but I really dislike the guy.
