President Hugo Chavez is tightening state control over Venezuela's food supply, setting quotas for food staples which are to be sold at government-imposed prices. …
Government price controls on basic goods have been in place, in various forms, since 2003. But the restrictions have forced Venezuela to become increasingly reliant on imports of these products as local farmers will not supply the selected food staples at government prices.
As any Ukrainian can tell you, controlling the food supply is a socialist tradition. Obamunists have already made radical moves to control energy and healthcare, and to consolidate their control of the media. Taking command of our food is the next rational step, unless they go for our guns first.

On DemocraticUnderground (Home base for America's psycho left), there were many threads singing the praises of Chavez' policy of sending soldiers to the food productino factories to oversee things, and they were saying things like "Viva Chavez!", and talking about how he's a champion of the people for creating such a stranglehold over Venezuela's food industry.
