British Students Told to Take Terrorists' Point of View

Just as predators do nature's bidding by preying on the weak and the lame, if Islam succeeds at destroying the West, it will only be because liberalism has rotted us to the point that we need to be destroyed. In Britain, they are begging for it — to the point of demanding of schoolchildren that they take Muslim terrorists' point of view:

Children are being encouraged to imagine they are suicide bombers plotting the July 7 attacks as part of the Government's strategy to combat violent extremism.
The exercise is part of a teaching pack aimed at secondary school pupils that has been adopted by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It requires children to prepare a presentation on the July 7 atrocity — in which 52 innocent people died — "from the perspective of the bombers".
They are asked to summarise the reasons why they thought the bombers wanted to carry out their attacks and even suggest some more.

Note that the purpose of this moonbattery is to "combat violent extremism." I wonder if during the Blitz they combated violent extremism by making kids list all the reasons Nazis had for dropping bombs on them.

Reason #1: The West has let moonbattery make it soft.

Sounds like Robert Fisk is running the show.

"If I had been them, I would have attacked me."

Next in the series of study lessons; why Abdulla should be allowed cut mommy's head off.

I'm sure that "religious hatred against anyone not muslim" will result in automaticly failing the course.

Liberals hate religion so much that they can't imagine ANYONE waging war for religious reasons. Unless you're Christian or Jewish, of course.

How soon will it be until KING ARTHUER returns from the dead takes up EXCALABER and drives the terrorists from england and behaeds a few mulim terrorists and sends their entire palament of moonbats packing out on all england?

Really?

Ok, in case you didn't know, considering things from the opposition's perspective is a key step in tactical thinking. You can more effectively counter them if you know how they think. In fact, it is common practice for strategists to make detailed plans on how to defeat their own forces, so that they have a better understanding of their own weakness.

We know anon... but I have significant doubts that the extremely submissive Brits are doing anything besides teaching their kids to bend over and take it like the adults do. I'm sure Ian would be happy to fill us in. He always has very insightful commentary from across the sea.

This garbage is already going within our borders here thanks to the primitive pagan religion of Islam.

Remember Amina and Sarah

Amina Said, 18, and her sister Sarah, 17, smile happily in one widely circulating photo, and Amina is wearing what looks like a sweatshirt bearing the name “AMERICAN.” But their fate may have been the herald of a new, disquieting feature of the American landscape: honor killing. Amina and Sarah were shot dead in Irving, Texas, on New Year’s Day. Police are searching for their father, Yaser Abdel Said, on a warrant for capital murder.

The girls’ great aunt, Gail Gartrell, told reporters, “This was an honor killing.” She explained that Yaser Said had long abused the girls, and after discovering that they had boyfriends, had threatened to kill them -- whereupon their mother fled with them. “She ran with them,” said Gartrell, “because she knew he would carry out the threat.” But Said found them, and apparently did carry it out.

Look at it from the terrorists' perspective? Yeah, if you're studying the incident as a whole, trying to comprehend the reasons for the attacks, the backgrounds of the perpetrators, etc.

But to have school children essentially "take the side" of the terrorists, defend them and their actions ("Why do they hate us so? Wahhhhhhhhh!"), that's not studying the incident, that's promoting the terroist line, maybe even recruiting for them.

Were I given this assignment, my essay would be: "These people attacked us and killed 52 innocent Britons, and others, not long after killing 3,000 Americans and other nationalities, to include many Britons, on U.S. soil. Find them, prosecute them before a military tribunal (We're at war, even if we Britons choose not to recognize it as such; the terrorists damn sure do), and execute them."

OK, Anon... you say that we should look at things from the opposition's perspective to better understand them.

Then tell me, why dont we teach school children to look at things from the perspective of Nazis or Christian fundamentalist bombers of abortion clinics?

There is a reason why and the same applies to Islamic fundamentalists who commit atrocities like 7/7 or 9/11.

Freedom Now,

Maybe we could get them to look at things from the aborted babys' points of view too.

I am a Christian fundamentalist, and I don't bomb anyone or anything. Why the dig at Christians, or are you equating all faiths?

I don't believe your statement was relevant to this subject.

Because that's not happening right now. Bombings are. Duh.

I wish you'd mention that public outcry caused this policy to be scrapped. Damn our government for their idiocy, not out people.

Posted by: GrimUpNorth at March 1, 2009 10:23 PM

Anon.

You know damn well this isn't an tactical exercise about making an frank assessment of an enemy in order to defeat him.

Like KHarn said, if the students get the answer right and say "religious hatred against anyone not muslim", they will probably get a failing grade from a cowering dhimmi teacher(if they still give failing grades over there).
