As Economy Tanks, Geithner Growls About Global Warming

With the stock market collapsing and a depression looming, our tax cheat Treasury Secretary is grappling with weighty concerns. Foremost among them: the apocryphal global warming crisis.

U.S. oil and natural gas producing companies should not receive federal subsidies in the form of tax breaks because their businesses contribute to global warming, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told Congress on Wednesday.

In a socialist kleptocracy like ours, "not receive federal subsidies in the form of tax breaks" is liberalese for getting raped and pillaged by Big Government.

It was one of the sharpest attacks yet on the oil and gas industry by a top Obama administration official, reinforcing the White House stance that new U.S. energy policy will focus on promoting renewable energy sources like wind and solar power and rely less on traditional fossil fuels like oil as America tackles climate change.

Windmills and pixie dust will be just the trick to pull us out of a deep recession.

The Obama administration's budget would levy an excise tax on oil and natural gas produced in the Gulf of Mexico, raising $5.3 billion in revenue from 2011 to 2019.

This should lay to rest any hopes that the Cloward-Piven Marxists running the government will allow the economy to recover.

Geithner imagines his hands around the neck of our economy.

On a tip from mega.

Yes, the oil and gas industry contributes to global warming. . . one home at a time.

Just another attempted diversion. So we won't notice having a bank account or 401 is a waste of time. Gotta do better than that a$$hole, throwing a made-up catastrophe out to cover up a REAL just don't cut it!!

Since he is having trouble fixing the banking system why doesnt he just ask Turbo Tax? Im still shaking my head that a former Federal Reserve Bank President actually used Turbo Tax to do his taxes.

This guy reminds me of the guy in Ghost who had Patrick Swayze killed. Very creepy. Total assclown.

With the stock market collapsing and a depression looming...

B-b-b-but look at Rush Limbaugh! Look at him! He's saying something!

And what about Michael Steele? Let's talk about him for a while, because republicans control nothing and democrats only control the white house & both houses of congress!

And then there's Ann Coulter! Isn't she awful?!?

Today on a local non-political radio station the morning yuk-yuk type DJs were making fun of global warming hysteria. They were joking about how polar bear numbers are up and temperatures are obviously down. The idiocy of the global warming scare is hitting pop culture.

This may be the last straw on the Apophis Administration's big pile of overreach.

Have you ever noticed the White House fence? You can stick a lot of severed heads on those spear points.

I'm ashamed that this little prick is from Brooklyn.
Where's Sammy the Bull when we really need him?
Take this asshole's lunch money, beat the shit out of him and send him home crying to his mommy before he ruins the country.

This administration is drilling holes in the bottom of the boat to let the water out. Idiots or saboteurs? It's hard to tell.

Here is a thought, Oil and Gas companies should just stop and ride out the storm with their cash reserves.

As soon as this starts hitting hard on the economy and Americans feel the pinch, this tax talk would disappear and the administration would look even dumber than they do now.

Don't choke out the only lifeline you have left with extreme taxation or you will sink and take America with you.

I've added a link and the quotes from your article to Obama's selects Timothy Geithner for Treasury Secretary which is a collection of articles to keep an eye on Geithner.

You know that $13 a week you're going to get as a 'tax rebate'? This tax on oil and gas will cost more than the $13 a week on you're energy bill, that's how they're going to finance the 'tax cut for the middle class.'

He should be more concerned about where his next cock is coming from.

Posted by: bustoff at March 5, 2009 10:43 PM

I'd like to simply smack the living shit out of him.
He needs a good beating!
