Who Helped Enviromoonbats Cause the Massive Australian Bushfires?

Moonbats have rightly been held accountable by the public for the severe bushfire situation in Australia:

Angry residents last night accused local authorities of contributing to the bushfire toll by failing to let residents chop down trees and clear up bushland that posed a fire risk.
During question time at a packed community meeting in Arthurs Creek on Melbourne's northern fringe, Warwick Spooner — whose mother Marilyn and brother Damien perished along with their home in the Strathewen blaze — criticised the Nillumbik council for the limitations it placed on residents wanting the council's help or permission to clean up around their properties in preparation for the bushfire season. "We've lost two people in my family because you dickheads won't cut trees down," he said. …
Another resident said she had asked the council four times to tend to out-of-control growth on public land near her home, but her pleas had been ignored.

Bushfire expert David Packham explains that unless brush is cleared, "disastrous fires can and will occur." But the do-gooder enviroweenies running the government don't seem to care:

It has been a difficult lesson for me to accept that despite the severe damage to our forests and even a fatal fire in our nation's capital, the political decision has been to do nothing that will change the extreme threat to which our forests and rural lands are exposed.
The decision to ignore the threat has been encouraged by some shocking pseudo-science from a few academics who use arguments that may have a place in political discourse but should have no place in managing our environment and protecting it and us from the bushfire threat.
The conclusion of these academics is that high intensity fires are good for the environment and that the resulting mudslides after rains are merely localised and serve to redistribute nutrients. The purpose of this failed policy is to secure uninformed city votes.
Only a few expert retired fire managers, experienced bushies and some courageous politicians are prepared to buck the decision to lock up our bush and leave it to burn.
The politicians who willingly accept this rubbish use it to justify the perpetuation of the greatest threat to our forests, water supplies, homes and lives in order to secure a minority green vote. They continue to throw millions (and no doubt soon billions) at ineffective suppression toys, while the few foresters and bush people who know how to manage our public lands are starved of the resources they need to reduce fuel loads.
It is hard for me to see this perversion of public policy and to accept that the folk of the bush have lost their battle to live a safe life in a cared-for rural and forest environment, all because of the environmental fantasies of outraged extremists and latte conservationists.

In wreaking such devastating havoc, moonbats may have had help from their traditional allies. From an interesting article published last fall:

Australia has been singled out as a target for "forest jihad" by a group of Islamic extremists urging Muslims to deliberately light bushfires as a weapon of terror.

It's already known that arson has been involved in the fires, which have burned down whole towns and killed over 180 Australians. A suspect has been charged with lighting a wildfire near Churchill that killed 21. Authorities are keeping his identity secret, to protect the poor darling.

Police have issued this picture of a maniac wanted for starting an eight-acre blaze near Melbourne:

What would motivate the sociopaths who started these fires? We may never know, especially since any connection with Islam is likely to be suppressed by both the government and the media. But it would hardly be surprising if the fires turn out to be a devastating consequence of the unconscious synergy between the two greatest threats to Western Civilization: moonbattery and Islam.

Mel Gibson should move down to Australia, strap on his sawed off shotgun, fire up his V8 Interceptor and get to work!

This very moment, Lord Humungus, Warrior of the Wasteland, is assembling his army. First he will have to dispatch The Night Rider and Toe Toecutter and their merry motorcycle gang.

interesting lines found in the crap stimulus bill.

I guess the fu&#ers in congress decided that the states don't have any more rights.

SEC. 1607. (a) CERTIFICATION BY GOVERNOR — Not later than 45 days after the date of enactment of this Act, for funds provided to any State or agency thereof, the Governor of the State shall certify that: 1) the State request and use funds provided by this Act , and; 2) funds be used to create jobs and promote economic growth.

(b) ACCEPTANCE BY STATE LEGISLATURE — If funds provided to any State in any division of this Act are not accepted for use by the Governor, then acceptance by the State legislature, by means of the adoption of a concurrent resolution, shall be sufficient to provide funding to such State.

This is what was wrong in CA, AZ, CO, NM, and so many other U.S. states that have had horrible forest fires. The enviorwackos won't allow people manage the forests--the under brush. These nuts are going to cost us lives, capital, and natural resources.

It is awesome to see the people are finally standing up to this insanity. It is about time people come to their senses and stop this the madness!

Small, regular fires are nature's way of keeping gigantic fires from consuming entire forests. I've hiked in "managed" areas that were little more than tinder boxes, because nobody burned off the foot of dried twigs on the ground.
Historical note: in the early days of WWII, the Japanese launched thousands of balloon-carried incendiary bombs towards the US west coast in an effort to cause a regional disaster. It was a big failure, but it emphasizes the very real fact that such acts could be carried out by terrorists.

These complaints aren't new. The problem is the fools in government do not listen to those who have lived their whole life in the bush, but would rather pander to the environmentalist fools who live in the city.
Both sides of my family have lived in the country since colonial times. My grandfather was a logger and a farmer. He understood the nature of the Australian bush and the fact that back burning is necessary and that fire regenerates the bush.
Every few years we back burn and because of that we have never been threatened by a fire, despite massive bushfires raging around us, enough to choke the air with smoke bad enough to prevent people from driving.
For tens of thousands of years the Aboriginal people have themselves been burning the bush off. They new the value of controlled burning. However, those who hold power choose to listen neither to the people who have grown up in bush, nor to consider the practice of a race of people who have been living here for forty thousand years.
