The Money Hole
Some people think The Onion is parody. Actually, it's run by a team of psychics. Here they predicted the "stimulus" package:

How many of UNSCLE SROOGES money bins will the liberals need to hold all that money the demacrats are putting into their stimuluse pork bill?

how much money did the Republicans give to the rich CEO's who destroyed their business and the American economy at the same time? How much money did the Republicans spend on Socializing the American finacial industry?
How much money did the Republicans spend on wars that are never ending and unwinnable?
How did a Republican administration, as all modern republican admins, take a national surplus and turn it into trillions of dollars of debt?
How in the world do you people percieve the Republicans as the party of fiscal responsibility when they only serve the wealthiest 1% percent of the population, and when they fail over and over again to balance a budget?

The Obama stimulus and bailouts are already larger than the total cost of the Iraq War, and when interest and the cost of continuing programs are factored in, one Obama "stimulus" could have fought six Iraq Wars.
Obama is racking up the biggest deficits in history with no end in sight. But the "stuck-on-stupid" left is still ranting about George W. Bush, who is no longer president.

I've noticed a lot of this yesterday. Point out some appalling thing the Chairman 0 regime is doing, and some idiot leftist will immediately shriek... "But Bush..." Wake up and smell the coffee, dinguses. Bush isn't president any more.

Besides which, at least the Republican rich pay their taxes, unlike Dear Leader's cabinet appointees.

Hey v the k you continue to be the dumbest man on the internet. Congrats for the long term championship.
Why do you think the country needs a "stimulus plan"? The economy was literally run into the ground by the previous admin. Someone has to clean up the mess you and your kind made somehow.
Not a single word of criticsm about spending under the Bush admin fromhe losers here. Not one! Do you understand just how badly the economy was destroyed by your guys? But this is a Republican tradition.

"Why do you think the country needs a "stimulus plan"? " That's the whole point....it doesn't.

Yes, it was all the Republicans fault.
Keep chanting that mantra, you liberal fools.

Spending is not stimulus.
Cutting the corporate tax rate to 10% would be stimulus. Cutting capital gains taxes to 0% would be stimulus. Tort reform, loser pays, capping and socializing punitive damages would be stimulus. Nationalizing and selling off "toxic assets" would be stimulus. Domestic energy production would be stimulus. Repeal of the worthless Sarbanes-Oxley legislation would be stimulus.
Chairman Zero wants none of it. Instead, he foists off a spending package consisting primarily of welfare checks, bailouts of gold-plated state employee pension plans, and payoffs to groups like ACORN and calls it a stimulus. Meanwhile, adding in trillions of dollars in debt with no means to pay for it absent default and/or hyperinflation.
People with a brain see the Obama "stimulus" for what it is. Only the mindless cult that slobbers over the Dear Leader and mindlessly chants "Yes, we can" can't see the corruption, avarice, and incompetence on display before them.

Precisely - the entire package is welfare. The fact that the word "stimulus" is even associated with this bill is an example of the Orwellian misuse of language that Obama and those around him have demonstrated is their hallmark.
