PBS Moonbat: Obama Is America "by Virtue of His Being"

Liberals are certainly getting our money's worth out of taxpayer-subsidized PBS affiliate KCET in Los Angeles. Check out this completely over the top ode to Chairman Zero:

Obama is the more perfect union. He is a house united. Obama is the New Generation and the hot light of a dawn that goes way beyond clever talk of morning in America.
Quite simply, quite plainly, just by virtue his being, Obama is America. The first true American to lead our nation.

Even Kim Jong-Il would blush if his media got this carried away.

On a tip from mandible claw.

Do we really need to give PBS bailout money? What an utterly waste of our hard earned cash.

I'm surprised there wasn't a bust of Chairman O for this guy to worship.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 2, 2009 8:19 AM

it sems the comment "clever talk of morning in America" is a slam against Ronald Regan or perhaps even an indirect slam of Bill Bennet's radio program.

This one - is by far - the most patent and worse of the Obama worship indoctrination videos. It is past shameful.

There are two savagely disgusting premises in this video:

1. Past presidents, all of them, such as Theodore Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan, were "not true Americans".

2. The new President has not been in office two weeks, but he is without question, "perfect" in person and in policy.

There is a sense in me that a vast populace of our nation has lost touch with the precepts of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence. They see government as our savior, the President as the messiah, and themselves as servants.

I could barely make it through 1 minute without losing my breakfast. Surely with this logic, we must now elect as POTUS the daughter of Hispanic immigrants, born here in the US, raised on food stamps, birthing her first child at age 15, a single mother with a "life partner," and moreso, having put herself through the finest Ivy League school while prostituting herself for her tuition and books.
America owes it to a crack whore to be elected to our highest office.

There is a cycle in things. The pendulum swings to its extreme ends and then gains velocity as it swings back like some kind of vengeful axe. There is a necessity for this kind of putrid rhetoric else we would never know when the pedulum has reached the furthest extent of its swing. We are (multiple choice--pick one) an earthquakes, volcanic eruption, deep depression, war, or terrorist act on American soil away from the downward swing. Not all of these can or will happen--but something will. It always does.

Then the pendulum will swing back and because it has gone to such an extreme end its downward swing will be truly horrible and cause terrible damage.

A fitting monument would be his birth certificate encased in glass hanging in the Smithsonian. Then we could all see it and say.. "This was the first true American."

There was a time when monarchs were the major REPRESENTATIVE of their countries, to such an extent that foreign rulers sometimes refered to each other by their country's name. But this was at the will of the people ("Rule by the consent of the governed") and when the king started to BELIEVE that he WAS the country, it was time to sharpen the pitchforks and make torches.

I cannot wait for the day when the bloom is off the rose and these automatons wake up to find out what Barack Obama really is: a slick-talking, third rate Chicago politician who pulled the wool so far over their sycophant eyes that they actually BELIEVED him. Or should I say believed IN him (in the religious sense.)

Look around, True Believers. You can't close your eyes to Geithner, Daschle, Bloggo et. al. forever. You think you want socialism, but that's only because you don't know what's coming. Food lines. No jobs (except gov't ones). Total inefficiency (you thought Katrina was bad? HA! That'll look like a perfect NFL pass play compared to what's coming). Waste. Decay. Death. All for you, courtesy of an inexperienced socialist "organizer".

Yes He Can.

For a time, people thought the demise of religion would bring all-healing rationality to the human race.

For a time, people thought so. That time was called the 18th and 19th centuries.

Then the 20th century came, and ended on record as having been bloodied worse than all the preceding, bloodied not by religion but by non-religious ideologies far more pernicious than any religion.

And now, at the opening of the 21st century, the professed stalwarts of secularism both stand with the most theocratic and illiberal of all religions (so much so that Islam is actually better considered a political program rather than just a religion), and exult their newly-elected leader with words usually reserved in religious services--the words we see above.

One could never believe such self-deception possible. That's the problem with our lying ears and eyes...

We march toward the end of days.

IO,
You mean that he actually has a birth certicate?

I should have added. And not written in pencil.

Boom times coming for shrinks when they realize that Obama is not the Son of God, as they seem to think. He can't present anymore - he's got to make decisions, some of which will inevitably involve compromise, and that will drive his acolytes (further) nuts.

oh, i thought it was the first un-american president.... my bad!

Posted by: gomergirl at February 2, 2009 12:44 PM

I quit watching PBS years ago i got tired of those stupid PLEGEBREAKS and PBS is too left-wing too liberal

He can't present anymore - he's got to make decisions

Jay, you just reminded me of that brilliant quip from Spaceballs: "I don't know what to do! I can't make decisions! I'm a president!" Thing is, I always thought it'd stay a joke.

Posted by: Conservigilant at February 2, 2009 1:05 PM

If we don't watch it, the Left will turn the executive brach into royalty. The Left is that stupid.

He can't present anymore - he's got to make decisions, some of which will inevitably involve compromise...

I don't think he does compromise, Jay. At least not yet. He's the one that said "I won."

Posted by: Kevin R at February 2, 2009 1:17 PM

"Jay, you just reminded me of that brilliant quip from Spaceballs: "I don't know what to do! I can't make decisions! I'm a president!""

Or, for that matter, another funny line from the Nightmare Before Christmas: "Jack, please! I'm only an elected official here, I can't make decisions by myself!"

Posted by: Adam at February 2, 2009 2:12 PM

That should've read "vote present." Of course, Obama doesn't have a legislative vote now he's in the Executive branch.

By compromises, Kevin, I didn't mean political ones with the Republicans (which he doesn't need to do) so much as practical (which he inevitably will). For example, he has already had to compromise between keeping the unhinged left happy (by junking WoT tools, such as FISA, Gitmo, rendition) and keeping everyone else happy (by preventing further terrorist attacks, or at least not looking as though he permitted them).

Lefties generally are not good at this sort of risk-benefit analysis; despite their bleats about conservatives Manichaean worldview, theirs is in fact is the Manichaean one. (Ask one about global warming, for example; some of them are happy to propose prosecution for those who don't believe.)

In this connection, they seem to believe that if a proposed course of action is "bad," the opposite must be "good" (Manichaeanism of the first water.) It appears not to occur to them that the alternative to a "bad" option might be a "worse" one.

kinda reminds me of Perot's "giant sucking sound" but not quite exackly like H.Ross meant it. ;)

this PBS commercial needs a viewer warning on it:

"Rating: RTRD = Intended for retarded audiences only. After watching this puke, viewers may feel the urge to drink heavily or medicate. Or smoke and take a shower. The Surgeon General warns against the dangers of smoking after sex. Or after watching this PBS commercial. Same same."

Actually the first 'true' American President would come from a tribe somewhere in North America, not Kenya.
