Updates: Sandlers, Octoparents, Global Frauding
The Sandlers vs. The Truth: Herb and Marion Sandler gave Bernie Madoff a run for his money in the fraud sweepstakes. Their Pick-A-Pay bizarre mortgage products at Golden West Financial Corporation suckered untold thousands of people into purchasing houses they could ill afford then they unloaded the bad paper on Wachovia Bank just in time to escape unscathed before the mortgage debacle exploded and flushed Wachovia down the banking sewer. (See “The Sandlers’ Dirty Hands . . .” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=726.)
Belatedly, the Sandlers’ predatory practices are now being investigated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Francisco. As this article on AmericanThinker.com suggests, they may beat any charges that could result, given their connections and lavish contributions to the Democratic Party: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/02/will_herb_and_marion_sandler_p.html.
The case may represent a vivid example of how far money, power, and influence can take you in the new transparent Obama administration given the Sandlers’ generosity to Obama’s campaign. We could soon discover whether the rich are truly different from the rest of us rabble. Stay tuned here for more updates as they occur.
The Octomom vs. The Octodad: Nadya Suleman, who has proven that Mother Nature cares not a whit as to who reproduces, denies claims by an octodad-wannabe that he was the biological sperm donor for her brood. (See “Of Leeches” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=830)
A former beau, being kept under wraps by ABC until he exits his closet Monday on “Good Morning America” on Monday, has stepped up to the plate and announced that he is the probable daddy: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/WomensHealth/story?id=6928821&page=1. He contends he thrice accompanied octomom to the clinic where she underwent in vitro fertilization.
Mr. Anonymous now wants a paternity test, apparently thinking that if he comes out the DNA winner, his “donations” will be in great demand and he could establish his own little cottage industry at home in the privacy and comfort of his own bathroom.
Meanwhile, mother of fourteen, Nadya, contends that Mr. Anonymous is out of the running...

Did anyone see the "War Room" show that Glenn Beck did on FOX News this weekend?
Chilling, though no surprise. I thought it was pretty darn spot-on, especially the "Bubba Factor" or whatever they called it. The idea that sooner or later, people will feel the government IS the problem (and has forsaken the Constitution) and take revolution into their own hands.
It's very possible that will come if things don't turn around before 2010.

Obama's first month scores F from stock market
Today marks the one-month anniversary of President Obama’s inauguration. In his brief time in office, the president has overseen three massive new spending initiatives — the $787 billion stimulus bill, the trillion-dollar financial stability initiative and, most recently, the $275 billion mortgage assistance program.
That’s a lot of activity, and a ton of money, but so far the reaction to the new administration’s programs has been decidedly negative. Investors, among others, have panned the plans; the stock market is off nearly 10% from the day before the inauguration, or more than 800 points on the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
Yesterday, in fact, we crossed a truly alarming divide. The Dow Jones average closed at its lowest point since October 2002, the bottom of the last bear market. The S&P 500 fell to 779, barely above the intra-day low of 741 of last November. For many market analysts, if the market crashes through that recent benchmark, it will next move significantly lower. Ouch.

Troll Bill strikes with race hate.
Seriously man, there is SO much to needle Obama with, is the "n" word the best you can do? Or, like I suspect, are you a liberal troll trying to make us look bad?
Either way, you're the idiot...so I guess it doesn't matter.

Abortion in America
The subject of abortion is one which causes such squeamish reactions in most Americans that they wish it would just go away so that they don’t have to be reminded of what it essentially involves, namely, the snuffing out of a defenseless human life in the womb.
The “procedure,” as it is euphemistically called by pro-abortionists, sometimes results in severe reactions of repulsion from ostensible care-givers, often involves excruciating pain for the pre-born, and virtually always has as its consequence, death, so it’s no wonder that people would rather not think about abortion, especially if they support it.
All of the above observations had to be accompanied by the qualifiers ”sometimes,” “often,” and “virtually always,” because there are limited exceptions.
Some “caregivers,” the nurses, doctors, and others in attendance, aren’t at all repulsed by what they are doing, often on a daily or hourly basis and, in fact, professional abortionists such as those employed by Planned Parenthood of America, feel they are performing a public service, perhaps akin to a dentist extracting an abscessed tooth.
As for pain suffered by the aborted baby, we hear a great deal about spinal cord development and when pain is physically possible although the baby can never weigh in with an opinion.
And, finally, all abortions do not result in the baby’s immediate death since some few manage to survive botched efforts even if they are then left to die unattended and a rare few go on to live full, if often psychologically-damaged, lives.
This distasteful topic of abortion in America has already been the subject of numerous articles on this website and it is not my intent now to reiterate the details of those articles. Any interested reader is referred to the “Search” feature for previous articles. Most websites, even if their owners and readers are adamantly opposed to abortion, tend to avoid the topic for reasons which are beyond me since I believe it remains the single most illustrative domestic issue on America’s plate, an issue which speaks to the demise of America’s soul.
The inspiration for this current piece is none other than the new Obama administration which has already shown it will be, for at least four years, an ardent advocate for the extinction of untold numbers of American pre-born lives. President Obama’s record...

A real stimulus would be either reducing the bottom 2 tax brackets 5% or a 3 or 4 month payroll tax holiday. That would get money into the pockets of working people right away. And it would be alot more than $13/week. Real infrastructure spending would be fine as long as it wasnt wasted on NEW roads/bridges instead of repairing/replacing old ones. The only other thing might be a large tax credit for repairs of existing homes putting skilled laborers (legal Americans) to work (the last thing we need is to build more houses as long as the glut of unsold houses continues). As for everthing else make it part of the regular budget.
But that wont happen because it makes too much sense and is alot harder to pack pork into the bill.

Matt, I saw the Glenn Beck warroom program, and I found it very disturbing.
I do have to say, people are coming up with the BEST SIGNS. We should put them in our yards.

A recent thread related to ACORN breaking and entering a home and occupying it in the name of social justice. One left wing troll stuck up for ACORN, saying the bank shouldn't have engaged in "predatory lending."
Now, the truth comes out. It wasn't the bank who was greedy. ACORN's foreclosure poster child seems to have refinanced the house and squandered the proceeds.
