I just knew this whole thing wasn't kosher...

Posted by: Conservigilant at February 18, 2009 11:43 AM

Let's see, what have we here:

The top man in the United States is black. The man himself (I'm getting there) is black and has risen to the position of Attorney General. He's speaking in an event called Black History Month.

And yet... after all this... all the unthinkables in MLK's day, plus the fact that it's an event that goes against what MLK had in mind ("The content of their character" thing, ya know)...

Eric Holder complains about the racism rampant in America. (Hat tip: Hot Air)

Unreal.

Here's something to notice, by the way. The crux of Holder's argument, and incidentally, the crux of this whole Marxist, Gramscian, treasonous, totalitarian mindset driving him and his like. Look here what he says the problem is:

In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

Emphasis mine. It's about our private lives. Get it? Our private lives. Keep that in mind. Always, always keep that in mind. Whether it's about Global Warming (TM), race relations or shariah law, it's about our private lives. Don't you ever forget that.

Posted by: Conservigilant at February 18, 2009 11:58 AM

Dont you see what Holder is getting at? Whites and Blacks should be FORCED to socialize.

Hold a party and at least 13% of those attending MUST be black. Another 15% or so must be asian/hispanic/other non white.

Posted by: Anonymous at February 18, 2009 12:09 PM

More from the same department:

Sharpton sees anti-black racism in chimp cartoon. (Hat tip: Sweetness and Light.)

The cartoon is about the chimp that attacked the woman in Connecticut. But that wouldn't make a good grievance-cow for Sharpton, so he found out how to spin it his way.

Nails to hammer, pr0n to preacher, racism to race-hustler.

Some good news...

===

Montana House measure would change gun rules

Firearms manufactured and used in Montana would become exempt from federal regulation under a bill being considered in the Montana House.

The State House voted in favor of House Bill 246 in second reading on Saturday, and the bill could have the effect of releasing Montana gun owners from federal registration requirements.

The measure applies to firearms, firearm accessories and ammunition that are made and sold in the state.

The bill’s sponsor says his proposal is more about states’ rights than about gun rights.

In other words, it's the racial equivalent of the Fairness Doctrine.

You know, I'm just sick of those things. Just feel like banging my head against the wall.

A black man the best for the job? Excellent, hire him! A white man and a black girl fall in love? Congratulations, get married and have kids! But to force such things through insults or legislation?! To do it just so a quota gets filled, a "racial equality" box can be checked?! Go stick your heads where the sun doesn't shine! Yeah, Holder, I'm talking to you. You and all the rest of you Marxist "revolution come hell or high water" agitators.

Fantastic comment.

Only a demented liberal could see a problem with how people choose to spend their own, personal time, and who with.

Only a demented liberal could focus on the color of one's friends and decry racism. What a looney toon.

In police state Britain, the government can spy on you with cameras everywhere, but you will get 10 years if you take a photo of a police officer. Murdering a child will lead to a shorter sentence there.

And BTW, the party thing doesnt apply to blacks they can hold an all black party if they want - sort of like Black Entertainment Television.

Something that's very telling about Obama and the Dems, just in comparison to real statesmen; our founding fathers came to the realization they needed to radically change the government by adopting a new constitution. They knew this had to be done as quickly as possible. This was extremely important and really did need to be done and done quickly. But they never in their lives would have considered demagoguery on the issue using fear and telling people that they had to adopt the new constitution right now! with no thought or debate. No. Real statesmen honestly took their time to present their case.

We know how real statesmen handle important issues of their times. And then we know how Obama and the Democrats handle things. They resort to fear and doom. Obama's argument for the Stimulus Bill was a cartoon version of statesmanship. And his plan is like something from a Rube Goldberg cartoon.

Obama's Foreign Policy of Obsequiousness

Anne Bayefsky, a senior fellow with the Hudson Institute and at Touro College, New York, details Obama's alarming decision to participate in the antisemitic, jihadist-enabling railroading of Durban II. "A Foreign Policy of Obsequiousness," at The Corner, February 17

*SNIP*

U.S. representatives were addressing a human-rights negotiating committee with an executive consisting of a Libyan chair, an Iranian vice-chair, and a Cuban rapporteur. Russian Yuri Boychenko was presiding over Monday’s “human rights” get-together. Before them was a draft document which participants plan to adopt in finished form at the conference itself. The draft now contains mountains of offensive references to limits on free speech, anti-Israel and anti-Jewish provisions, and incendiary allegations of the victimization of Muslims at the hands of counter-terrorism racists.

Here is how the American delegates responded to a proposal they understood was incompatible with U.S. interests (“Brackets” denote withholding approval at any given moment in time.): “I hate to be the cause of unhappiness in the room . . . I have to suggest this phrase remains in brackets and I offer my sincere apologies.”

Having watched U.N. meetings for the past 25 years, I can’t remember a U.S. representative in a public session so openly obsequious, particularly in the presence of such specious human rights authorities. And yet the U.S. delegates appear happy to be there and convey the marching orders of their new commander-in-chief.

It's coming, people... be very afraid.

They were wrong.

Think Terror Attacks Are Over and Done With? Think Again!

With all the seismic economic eruptions going on in Obamaland and throughout the planet, it’s easy to shift other thoughts and worries to the back burners of our collective subconsciousness. Many Americans have already done just that with regard to terrorism and terrorists.

Look, that’s old news, some want to believe and, to a great extent it is, in the sense that we haven’t been attacked in seven and a half years now. However, old news need not preclude new news happening, and happening in a flash.

Other Americans are fully aware of the continuing threat the country faces from crazed terrorists but prefer not to think ugly, catastrophic thoughts. In effect, they choose not to think about things they don’t want to think about.

Both attitudes, the old news theorists’ and the refuseniks’ attitudes, are foolhardy.

It should be remembered that, if nothing else, Islamic terrorists are above all a patient lot. They took years to meticulously plan 9/11 before the moment of execution came and when it did arrive, America was caught with its guard down. America’s current financial crisis as well as our multiple involvements in overseas military ventures could very well lead to oversights and mistakes despite our current ramped up but still insecure security measures.

Lest anyone get too comfy and complacent over the thought of terrorists and terrorism, consider this story out of England concerning “a global act of jihad:” http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=43714 ...

Attention
All Homeless Chronic Alcoholics
: Free housing in Rochester MN. Don't
worry about annoying things such as regular employment, or self control. All
you have to do is stay drunk and we will pay for your housing indefinitely!
At $200,000 per housing unit, no expense will be spared to make sure your stay
is as comfortable as possible!!!

Hell, I knew the politicians were all nuts
here, but it's getting to be like California without the good weather.  Us Rochester
locals aren't supposed to worry because the funds will be taken from "higher
levels of government."  If that's the case, everyone in the US who
has a job that doesn't involve public urination or panhandling should be angry
about this, not just the locals.

Here are my two gripes from my day at work today: (I'm a public high school teacher in south Louisiana)

1. One of my students (a senior) was late to first hour today (as he usually is anyway). He was mad because he got stopped by a cop on the way to school and got a ticket. He complained to all his friends that the cop stopped him because he's black. It was just racism (according to him)He would not stop talking about it, even though I was trying to have class. Then, I actually overheard him say that "since we had Obama now, this stuff ain't supposed to happen."
I pretended not to hear him say that. I knew if I commented on that, I'd probably go off like crazy and end up getting fired.

2. Second gripe: in our faculty meeting this afternoon, our principal informed us that our school system is pushing to go to the ten-point grading scale (mandatory for all teachers to use...not even having the choice.) I currently use 94%-100% is an A, ...etc...

But, if this passes, I will be forced to use 90%-100% is an A...etc. He said the reason why is that some of the system's students are scoring very high on the ACT but have a very low GPA. The GPA is so low that the student does not qualify for TOPS scholarship (state money which funds your college education at a state university with a certain GPA and ACT score). So, these poor little babies are being treated "unfairly" in our school system with such a harsh grading scale. So, we are going to lower the standard. I'm so sick of standards being lowered and lowered to accomodate people who don't take responsibility for themselves.

GOP governors consider turning down stimulus money

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2008758001_apbuckingthestimulus.html

"My concern is there's going to be commitments attached to it that are a mile long," said Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who considered rejecting some of the money but decided Wednesday to accept it. "We need the freedom to pick and choose. And we need the freedom to say 'No thanks.'"

The Left predictably accuses the governors of "putting conservative ideology ahead of the needs of constituents."

Check out FOX News and our new Attorney General's comments. He calls us a "nation of cowards" on race relations. He says we have no guts, and goes on to totally smear every non-black American (remember, "race relations" only work one way). He's even telling the Justice Department (in so many words) "...we're going to take care of our OWN now."

This guy has to be forced out of office IMMEDIATELY. First, because he's a racist son of a bitch. Second, because he's totally unqualified. Third, because it will give a much deserved black eye to His Holiness Obama.

Write Congress today. I am. ERIC HOLDER MUST GO!

This guy has to be forced out of office IMMEDIATELY. First, because he's a racist son of a bitch.

There is no room for an open, honest and frank discussion of any race issues...if you're white. You're automatically racist by default simply by being born Caucasian and anything you say can and will be held against you in a court of law and/or public opinion.

We can thank knee jerk liberals for their countless years of minority hustling for that, by the way.

So, in other words, Holder can go 'tuck himself in'.

Okay, first off, don't you think the hammer and sickle on the poster is a bit extreme? After all, the Republicans spent us into the poor house with magic disappearing pallets of $100 bills.

The only wealth that Liberals want to spread around is that of the ultra wealthy. You know, the guys paying themselves multi million dollar bonuses with taxpayer money. Think any of those folks are Dems?

Someone raised the issue of fear mongering. Isn't that exactly what the poster is intended to do?

Holder Takes the Gloves Off and Calls Americans “Cowards”

Eric Holder, America’s new Attorney General, may prove to be the worst political pick since Caligula designated his horse, Incitatus, a Roman senator. The chief difference is that Caligula’s horse had far more class.

Disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich’s choice to fill Barack Obama’s Illinois senate seat, Roland Burris, merits consideration as the supreme loser as well. Seems ol’ Roland had such contempt for the United States Senate that he thought nothing of perjuring himself to secure it.

Then, again, having contempt for the American people, as Eric Holder does, has to take precedence over contempt for the Senate so Holder should still get the prize and Burris should be designated as runner-up.

Speaking to a Justice Department group observing Black History Month, the new AG said, “Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards:” http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D96E53483&show_article=1.

Confirmed 75-21 by an obsequious United States Senate, Holder went on to say that, “the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.”

If my take is correct, the new AG feels that government dictates concerning whom companies employ is woefully inadequate. Holder is suggesting that people should be invited to golf outings, family bbq’s, christenings, and graduations simply because they are people, regardless of whether we would appreciate their presence.

Now isn’t that just special! Barely two weeks in office,...

OMG, ButlerJ! From his/her link above, about the home for alcoholics:

"That (traditional) system doesn't work for them," said Corrine Erickson, a program manager in the county's Adult Services Division of Community Services. "What we're proposing is a system that would serve them in a different way."

LOL! "Serve them," I guess in frosty mugs. The traditional system she's referring to is locking them up, Otis-style, after say, a wife-beating. Basically, you just move in there and you get to drink. Bottoms up! At least they have the good grace to admit that this will be a hard sell, PR-wise.

I have a love-hate relationship with Minnesota.

It looks likes Chairman 0 is about to open up a new front in the Neo-Marxist War on Prosperity. Obama's EPA set to regulate carbon dioxide emissions. The economy is already on the ropes. Shutting down industries, utilities, and transportation to fight the completely cereal menace of ManBearPig should finish it off.
