Global Warming Causes Insanity
As the rise of the Moonbat Messiah makes clear, the world is going insane. What could be the cause? Since going mad is a bad thing, and Bush is out of office, there could only be one culprit: global warming.
"Climate change could have a real impact on our psyches," says Paul Epstein, the associate director for the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard Medical School.
According to establishment propagandists, the nonexistent global warming crisis causes not only all manner of natural disasters, but also emotional distress. On the last part, they're right:
Last year, an anxious, depressed 17-year-old boy was admitted to the psychiatric unit at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. He was refusing to drink water. Worried about drought related to climate change, the young man was convinced that if he drank, millions of people would die. The Australian doctors wrote the case up as the first known instance of "climate change delusion."
Robert Salo, the psychiatrist who runs the inpatient unit where the boy was treated, has now seen several more patients with psychosis or anxiety disorders focused on climate change, as well as children who are having nightmares about global-warming-related natural disasters.
Global warming doesn't really make people crazy. But anecdotal evidence continues to suggest that belief in it does.

On a tip from mega.

Is it just me or do the Australians appear to have swallowed GW with real passion? I've seen lots of GW Moonbattery from there.

Imagine the insanity that will result when the AGW sham is revealed.
Speaking of, this has been on my mind lately:
If global temperatures decline for another year or two, it will be nigh impossible to keep all but the most rabid believers from finally admitting they were wrong.
This is the point at which a major crack in the "progressive" platform will be exposed. This will be the time to get all the disillusioned to ask themselves. "What other fool notions have I been duped into following?"
We can't wait until it's already happened; we need a plan ready for that time. That crack must be kept open and forced wider.
I fear it may be one of the last chances to steer away from the disaster that "progressive" ideology will bring.
Developing the plan and how to implement it needs to happen soon. Any suggestions?

Yes you are completely correct.
I am somewhat at a loss to explain exactly why this is: If I had to guess I would say that it is because Australians are mostly very environment-concious (in a good way), mostly very community-minded, and, of course, we deal with the horrors and hazards of incredibly hot weather on a yearly basis.
Bear in mind that we are also a "young" country, relatively speaking, and a good proportion of our history since European settlement consisted of eking a living out of livestock and agriculture, resource extraction and processing, and generally "living off the land" -- plus the fact that conditions throughout most of Australia are extremely harsh in that most of the interior is brutally hot, dry desert, the northern areas are burning hot and oppressively humid much of the year, and our winters are fairly harsh also. Even though our urban centres are as modern and developed as any country, the vast majority of our country is unlivable thanks to incredibly harsh conditions, and I guess we are mindful of the fact that the urban population centres (which are mostly relatively mild ITO climate/weather) are small oases of livability amid the vast expanse of unforgiving nature.
Australia is really just a hothouse for some of the harshest elements of nature -- from harsh weather to poisonous spiders and snakes, to droughts, mudslides, bushfires, and everything else.
All of this seems to have allowed the green movement in Australia to attach itself solidly to the current centre-left power base and finagle its "environmental" agenda into public conciousness -- I am not sure why there is not more public debate on the topic (there is, but less than in the US) and so much unquestioning belief. I would guess however that the hardcore environmental fringe (who are just as active as in the US) and hardcore left fringe have slowly managed to get their agenda laundered through the political process to the point where to the average Australian, who is always mindful of the risk of bushfires, dehydration, sunburn, skin cancer, poisonous species of animals, aggressive sharks and stinging jellyfish in the oceans, rainfall catchment levels, and a host of other natural phenomena that genuinely affect our lives even in the city, sees such genuine-seeming warnings from politicians and the media about yet another environmental risk, and takes it for given that it's our duty to do something about it.
Those are what I would see as the mitigating factors for the man on the street, average Australian who has swallowed the hype. Those who actively promote AGW, especially the left-leaning section of the media, politics and science, are just as opportunistic as anywhere else.

Are Australian doctors that far away from civilization?? I've been observing "climate change delusion" for years now.......Al Gore, Jimmy-Cuckoo-Hansen, B. Hussein Obama, NBC Staff, CNBC Staff, Newsweek Ragazine Staff, Time Ragazine Staff, NPR Staff, IPCC Staff, US Congress, All non-technical professor level educators, All non-technical sub-professor level educators, and on and on and on and on.
