Free Housing for Drunken Bums
For alcoholic derelicts who don't find San Francisco to their taste, Rochester, Minnesota could be a nice place to settle:
A housing project for homeless chronic alcoholics is being planned at the Olmsted County government campus in east Rochester, near the Fuad Mansour youth soccer complex.
The location will be particularly convenient for degenerates who augment their drunkenness with pedophilia. The center will be a "wet house" — which means residents won't have to hide their bottles.
The tab of $200,000 per unit will be picked up by you. A bureaucrat explains why $millions should be wasted on this depraved project:
We can take it and do our best to spend it here, or let them spend it in South Dakota or Wisconsin.
Government "stimulus" has its own logic.

On a tip from butlerj.

Is the wet house there for the madrassas next door to have derelicts to practise on?
Or is it just PAAAARTY TIME!!!
Imagine the explosions if this place ever cought fire after passout time.
A burecrat who gave halfadammm would foist this off and LET SD. or WI. have it and good riddence. Count the votes for this clown next time.
no offence to clowns intended

I really wonder why you people are not in the slighest upset that you are paying for hundreds of CEO's of failed companies, people who failed at their jobs and destroyed the companies they work for, to continue living in the high life in mansions, with private jets, etc.
If I get this straight any money given to poor people is socialism, but giving money to rich people is conservatism----isn't that right.
Why do you people so eagerly serve your rich masters? Why are you so eager to see criminals and failures continue to live off of your hard work?
Posted by: wingnutcracker at February 19, 2009 10:41 AM
govt stimulus has it's own logic, but idiots like Van Helsing don't have ANY logic.
Posted by: wingnutcracker at February 19, 2009 10:43 AM
Wingnut are you reading from an official obamapromter?
Posted by: Farmer Ted at February 19, 2009 10:53 AM
farmer ted, at least I CAN read.
Posted by: wingnutcracker at February 19, 2009 10:55 AM
I do believe I'd rather live near the guy in the photo than Van Helsing. VH obviously avoids daylight and sucks blood out of necks. Yikes!

????
Ummm, the conservatives did oppose the bailout- mind you, republican does not equal a conservative.
Spectre and such just use the party to get elected.
Posted by: Andrew at February 19, 2009 11:04 AM
I really don't think Specter uses the party to get elected. Pennsylvania is generally a blue state consisting of two large overwhelmingly Democratic cities. Bob Casey represents the Dems as the other Senator and Specter does tend to lead to . There does exist a strong "conservative" element in the middle of the state, however, and they tend to vote Republican. As do most "conservatives". I do, therefore, think it is fair to describe the republicans as the party of the conservative movemennt generally. Anyway, most republicnas supported the bailouts, which was put forth by, at least self-procalimed, "conservatives".

Minnesota is too damn cold! When are they going to put one of those drunk parks in south florida?
Posted by: Eric at February 19, 2009 11:25 AM
wingnutcracker lives in its own reality; one where he believes Republicans want this stimulus package - one where Republicans believe there is such a thing as "Too big to fail" for a company that has failed.
Bailing out CEO's? most Conservatives think these businesses belong in the annals, and their assets sold its your side that now insists they should be propped up. Enjoy.

Wingnut obviously you've been reading keith oberland's obamapromter get one of your own.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at February 19, 2009 11:46 AM
They couldn't buy houses in Minnesota for that sort of money?
Posted by: Arthur at February 19, 2009 11:59 AM
They just passed the California budget. Relax, winos. You can stay now. They've just raised the highest tax rate in the nation even higher...WAY higher.
When the producers move out, though...which is happening in droves as I write this...who'll be left to pay for all the people who don't want to work and only consume? Next, maybe they'll pass a law so we CAN'T leave.
Who is John Galt?

wow... I was wondering where wingnutcracker had gone. He used to be a regular useful idiot here in the comments section. I shall anxiously look forward to your incredibly one-sided, ill-informed point of view from now on.

Can you imagine how quickly those housing units will fall into utter chaos? I take it will be less than 1 year and they will be the slumiest of slums, filled with neglect and drug problems. If there are suberbs located near that housing I would highly protest to the city against the building of that housing.
Wingnut, why don't you let those consistant addicts in your home? Show them a good dose of misplaced liberal compassion.
Posted by: Travis at February 19, 2009 12:21 PM
I suppose the great obamases will soon prepodr free homes to rapist and child molesters
Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at February 19, 2009 12:22 PM
Travis, come on! One year? More like one week! Think of the violent fights erupting. Nobody's keeping the houses or themselves cleaned. Attracting the very worst dregs to the neighborhood. Wingnutcracker, your crocodile tears are having no effect on me. I don't ignore the plight of the poor, but this is not the way to help.
I saw this topic in the open thread, and read the article. I couldn't believe it. The program head said something like "we're looking for different ways to serve this community." They did realize it would be a hard sell. May more reasonable heads prevail.

What a moron, obviously didn't get much book-learnin'.

"we're looking for different ways to serve this community."
The best way a community can be helped is if its individuals helped themself. By adhering to thefamily ethics, individual responsibility and Judeo Christian values this country was founded on, this rediculous notion of "community organizers" would vanish. The government does not need to serve local communitites, local communitites serve local communities.
The whole liberal idea of "local commune" is disgusting rot.

These homeless-by-choice slugs infest my neighborhood as well. They live in the park and can't be touched because we have a very liberal city code. Sleeping? No means of support? Open container? NO PROBLEM. The cops can do nothing because it VIOLATES THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
I had several say they'd kill me, but because of the way the law is written, that is not considered a threat. "Come here motherfucker and I'll kill you" is not considered imminent danger. I could run away. He didn't do it yet. Blah blah blah.
These assholes know the ropes and will NEVER leave a park or neighborhood unless they're afraid for their safety. Give them a house and they'll trash it in an instant, and just make a permanent drug/booze den out of it. As long as the law enforcement folks are hog-tied, the bad guys win...AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

hey moonbatters!
I noticed that someone is posting as modrn ahht. Which means we have a sighting of an honest to goodness troll! Someone buy him a drink!
I really feel sort of weird, I mean, did I cause conservatives to start deceiving each other on this site?
Wow.
By the way, I agree with Van Helsing, having a registration system and login is such a pain in the ass. It would chase away all the useful idiots. I would miss you guys and gals!
To bring it back ontopic just think how easy it would be for me to go check in to club derelict and troll this website fulltime as a moonbat conservative! Would Van Helsing check the logs and out me? I might even be able to deceive some liberal shadow group that my tactics get results and draw a paycheck under the table.
Thanks for the inspiration! I figure as long as I'm being accused of socialist take over, I might as well live up to your expectations. Has this all been good for YOU modrn ahht troll?

This nation was NOT founded on Judeo-Christian principles. You guys are just making things up again.
Or you are.
You can argue that we've fallen away from our Christian heritage, because we clearly have, but to argue that it never existed in the first place is well...laughable at best. If you'd like to see Christian principles even further removed from our society then go for it, but re-writing history, while a favorite tactic of your ilk, is easily refutable.

Totally.

As we hear every night by the legislators and news readers, Minnesota is experiencing a budget shortfall. The only thing we can possibly cut in the budget is essential services like police, firemen, and teachers.

Isn't this great. You have a special place to go to observe the comings and goings of moonbats in the wild. Which is all by itself a service to humanity. But, as an additional bonus, you get moonbats - today, in the person of wingnutcracker and cave ahht - who jump up on your car and put their faces up to your window begging for the intellectual sustenance they can't find in the undergrowth and thickets where they live. Please be kind to them. You know how much they depend on the kindness of strangers.
