Economists Respond to Obamanomics

On January 9, Chairman Zero proclaimed the following:

There is no disagreement that we need action by our government, a recovery plan that will help to jumpstart the economy.

Economists have responded:

With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true.
Notwithstanding reports that all economists are now Keynesians and that we all support a big increase in the burden of government, we do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s. More government spending did not solve Japan's "lost decade" in the 1990s. As such, it is a triumph of hope over experience to believe that more government spending will help the U.S. today. To improve the economy, policy makers should focus on reforms that remove impediments to work, saving, investment and production. Lower tax rates and a reduction in the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth.

The list of economists signing the above statement is impressive. The next stimulus package had better include some variation of the Fairness Doctrine to shut these people up.

Rush went on and on today about how it's actually an advantage that the Dems are growing the government with all this spending etc etc, so that when Conservatives FINALLY take control again, we will have vast means and greater power to train on the Dems and their cronies to get some payback for this travesty their cramming up our collective arses.

Sounds great, but I'm not holding my breath.

Obama is going to spend us right into something must worse than the "Great Depression." Between the Congress and Obama, they are going to bankrupt the nation before future generations get the bill.

The list of economist is nice. Too bad Obama is too arrogant notice.

This is the same pattern as we see with scientists who say that global warming is not primarily due to man's effect on the environment. These ever increasing numbers of scientists don't exist or are simply not credible. Now the economists don't exist and are not credible.

When the wolf is chewing on their butts they will say that it isn't credible and can't exist, therefore nothing can be eating them. It is some kind of "I don't think, I don't hear, I don't see. Therefore I am." reverse philosophy. I think you have to have some kind of brain defect for this to make sense.

The Obamessiah is picking up the Goracle's lingo in citing nonexistent and irrelevant consensus for his socialist-policy pseudoscience.

OK, dear Con Einsteins: Question 1 - you and yours were in charge for the last 8 years. Remind me again, how did we end up in this mess? Question 2: what are YOU proposing to do? Tax cuts? Didn't Bush do that? See question 1.

IDIOTS!
