Double Feature
Sometimes news stories are two halves of a whole, and should be published as a pair.
The new White House Web site puts the administration of President Barack Obama on record as favoring a "worldwide ban on weapons that interfere with military and commercial satellites."
This is consistent with liberal hostility toward "weaponizing space," which has motivated moonbats to oppose space-based antimissile defense systems since Reagan days.
Iran says it has launched its first domestically made satellite into orbit.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the launch had been successful and that with it Iran had "officially achieved a presence in space". … A US state department official said the launch was of "great concern" and could lead to ballistic missile development. … France has also expressed concern, saying the technology used was "very similar" to that used in ballistic missiles.
Iran's terrorist mullahs have of course been hard at work building nuclear weapons for these missiles to deliver — and there are now no grownups in a position to slow them down.
When our cities are smoldering radioactive ruins, we'll know whom to thank for the Change.
On tips from Rob Banks.

A space based nuke would be much more effective, knocking say NY, or LA into the dark ages for years.

I can just see the liberals dancing with glee through the ruins - smoking pot.

EMP bomb over west coast? If they tried that Im quite sure the Ohio class sub parked off the coast of North Korea would quickly turn most of North Korea into flaming nuclear waste land. Even if The Messiah refused to give the order himself.

An ICBM deployed as an EMP weapon is a pretty scary thought. Done right, a single warhead could fry every piece of electonic equipment on the continent.
A well thought out EMP attack, in the dead of winter, could do far more damage than a warhead dropped in the downtown of a major city.
Scary stuff. I feel really confident with an amature like Obama at the helm.

yeah, Junker, they did that in the 1987 miniseries AMERIKA (Russians) and on the TV show JERICHO (done by an American guy vaguely resembling Dick Cheney representing the evil neocons, no wonder that shows ratings went into the crapper and was cancelled a 2nd time)

Don't have that tiny url thingie.

A fair percentage of military and federal government equipment has been shielded against EMPs and some state and local agencies have followed suit. Of course, us "little people" will be hit hardest.
Even if Iran doesn't get "the bomb", a metric ton of boosted TNT falling on a couple of heavily-populated citys will be devistating.

Thats change we can believe in right there.
No specifics, just a blanket statement.
The running of any country isnt amature night or American idol. Its time for Simon to vote him off with a cheeky comment.
Let the fat lady sing!
As for the Ohio class, small comfort.
Athough comfort just the same

Ummm... Guys?

Beat you to it...
Pretty scary.

The emp threat sounds viable.
But tens of millions of dead "Liberal" citiots a bad thing???
Am I missing something here? Oh yeah, the stench of their rotting bodies. Well it would only last a few days and would be well worth it.

It's not just about Iran, or about nuclear strikes. What about China, Russia, India or Pakistan deciding to take out some of our surveillance satellites? The point is, there's no way to verify what other countries are putting up there, until it's too late.
Any disarmament of space can be assumed to be unilateral. I suspect we have another Jimmy Carter on our hands.

That's because Liberals think space should be like an episode of dopey "Star Trek" :
exploring for the good of all mankind, in a world with no more money, and a crew of saints who apologize for events 2000 years before their birth; who equate the 1970's+ with the dark ages. We should just talk our enemies out of blowing us apart, with speeches (but keep the torpedos stocked Mr. Worf)

I also took time to play wack-a-mole on your moonbat 'anonymous' poster on your blog evil monk.

I hadn't thought of an EMP attack. My nightmare scenario is this: it's impossible to check every container on a cargo ship, a primitive nuke like Little Boy could be smuggled in and detonated once the ship reaches port.

Time to pull out all the Cold War manuals I got in high school and check Ebay for Faraday cages. On the plus side, since guns have no microchips, they will be most effective in stemming the tide of hungry liberals looking to mooch off the more prepared folks. No free lunch this time, pals! You can use those food stamp coupons as insulation in your shoes.

Exactly. Barack Obama is like a beauty pageant contestant being asked what they wish for: "World Peace!"
