Bat-Faced Congresscreep: FDR Didn't Spend Enough

These Marxist saboteurs really do plan to bankrupt the country à la Cloward-Piven. Here Rep. Henry Waxman of Beverly Hills explains that the reason the Depression dragged on until WWII stopped it is not that FDR paralyzed the economy with his ham-fisted socialism, but that he didn't spend enough:

It could never be enough. When Porkzilla flops, far from being chastised, Dems will demand we spend even more. The inevitable collapse could come before the 2010 elections.

On a tip from Kevin R.

Mel Watt is my congressman. I called that douchebag's office to tell him not to vote for the crapulus bill and after I mentioned that our children and grandchildren would be paying for this piece of garbage forever I received dead silence for about 5 seconds. I then said, "I guess Congressman Watt doesn't share my viewpoint" the gentleman on the other end said, "I'll pass your opinion on to the Congressman" I replied, "No you won't, because your boss is an avowed socialist who doesn't give a damn about the economy, only about expanding the roll of government". He parroted again, "I'll pass your opinion on to the congressman" and hung up. So much for representation of all the people of his district. Scumbag...

If the economy picks up a tad, the Dems will take credit, i.e. Porkulus.

If the economy crashes, the Dems will blame Republicans and explain that what was needed was a much bigger Porkulus, which couldn't be achieved because of obstructionist republicans.

If the economy stays in place - i.e. recession, not catastrophe - Dems will explain that what's needed is Porkulus II to prevent it from getting worse, and then III and IV. Each step of the way, Repubs will be slammed for getting in the way and holding up a true fix to the problem.

Their game is long-established and well-known. What's sorely needed is some Republican candidates with the chops to do battle with them.

Thomas Sowell, "The Vision of the Annointed": Create problem, explain that problem requires government intervention, make problem worse, explain that worsening problem requires more intervention, and so on.

There's no doubt at this point that the Dim 'leadership', their media conspirators and the liberal herd that enables them are looking to contract the economy in order to permanently bring the country down to a lower level of functioning both domestically and internationally.
Setting up an amplified FDR New Deal, orchestrating a Mexican invasion, playing nice with Muslims and censoring talk radio makes for one hellofa stream of raw sewage.

And what else do we get?
A republican "leadership" that cowers like a bunch of punks in a 12 X 8 cell with a 350lb BO boyfriend.

Watch these "conservatives" give BO's wretched supreme court nominees a nice pat on the back on the way to confirmation.

Having lived in Charlotte for many years I can testify that Mel Watt is a blithering idiot and incapable of anything other than regurgitateing the crap he has swallowed.

Idiots like these are why the rebellion must start now!

Some commentator on AirAmerica Radio this morning actually suggested that the constituencies of Republicans who didn't vote for Porkzilla not receive any of the funding from the bill because their reps didn't vote for it.

What a wonderful new era of bipartisanship and cooperation indeed. At least the transparency promise is becoming more and more obvious everyday.

Yes, Murff, the moonbats at DemoUngrnd are proposing the same thing. They are also advocating bloody physical violence against Republicans. I thought this was the party of peace, love, understanding, sharing, and caring?

Johnny Boy, I know how you feel. My senator is Upchuck Schumer. I have called and written until I'm blue in the face, but of course, I know I was just talking to myself. His arrogance knows no bounds, my complaints didn't even register that of a mosquito to him. Gillibrand is my other one, and she's such a newbie she's not going to do anything so bold as to listen to a constituent. It's very infuriating, isn't it?

A modest proposal: we redistribute the wealth, starting by confiscating wealth in Waxman's district - Beverly Hills. Round everyone there down to $100K/yr, I say, and let them know it was done with Waxman's support.

No funding from this bill? Fine with me, but to be FAIR, they should not get any of our TAX MONEY to finance their madness.

One of the (many) problems with this porkulus nonsense is that the states HAVE to take the 'stimulus' money. They have no choice from the federal government BUT to take the pork.

Why is that?
