I was glad to see my worthless RINO congresscritter voted against the Big Oinker. Having no patience for flowery words for Upchuck Schumer, I sent this short note to him this morning:
(after checking the "oppose" box)
"This is nothing but far-left wishlist pork. I always thought you would march lockstep on the road to socialism, but this is my two cents' worth. It's also my money, Senator."

The Goracle Vs. Climate Cooling
Government by crisis continues and grows exponentially.
It’s bad enough that the Obama administration speaks of an economic Armageddon if his porky stimulus bill isn’t passed, and soon, preferably yesterday, but now the incovenient man has gotten into the act to warn us, again, that we’re all going to be toast if we don’t stop global warming, and soon, preferably tomorrow.
If the planet doth not alter its ways, preacheth Gore, global temperatures could increase by 11 degrees Fahrenheit over the course of this century. “This would bring a screeching halt to human civilization and threaten the fiber of life everywhere on the earth,” Gore said. “And this is within the century, if we don’t change.” Thus spake the Goracle who parenthetically added as a qualifier, ”some scientists have said.” (http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=42687)
The true inconvenient truth is that most climatologists do not agree, some scientists said a while back that the Earth was flat, and a mere thirty years ago they were saying to button up your ski parka because a new ice age was imminent. That never happened, either.
Speaking before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, undismayed by Washington snow and frigidity, the former senator and VP and current climate Cassandra conducted a Power Point presentation to convince the politicos that the crisis is nigh. Despite the paucity of his expertise, the senators treated him as a weather guru even when he hypothesized that global warming ”could completely end human civilization, and it is rushing at us with such speed and force.” (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/28/AR2009012803318_pf.html) The man is stranger neither to hypotheses nor to hyperboles.
Almost at the same time, a real meteorologist and climate expert was throwing a bucket of cold water on the whole global warming charade.
Last March, Weather Channel founder, John Coleman, was thinking of suing Gore . . .

He may not be a great man, he may not be a good man, but I am fairly certain that he is (anatomically at least) a man.

The media and the Democrats have pumped this fool up so high he is guaranteed to fail! There's no way they can cover Mr. Zero's catastrophes, one after another!! Hell, he can't even talk without a teleprompter. He's going to make Biden look like a genius! SAVE US ALL! Avoid the rush - impeach the idiot now...

A brother sent me this.
Riddle me this -
I'm confused.. how can 2 million afro-americans get into Washington DC in sub zero temps in 1 day when 200,000 couldn't get out of New Orleans at 85 degrees with four days notice.
I'll start:
#1 - the 'one' was not there to show them the way
#2 - they were not handing out free 'ACORN' T-shirts in Shreveport....

Did George Soros' Cash Buy Obama's "Blackness" at NAACP '08? Evil Conservative Radio talked to Pastor Manning of Atlah Ministries who was there (video) at http://www.evilconservativeonline.com/2009/01/did-george-soros-buy-obamas-blackness.html

You've got an awesome blog here. Keep up the good work.
I just wanted to let you know that I’ve just started a new blog that will be highlighting the dangerous advances of the secular progressive movement (pro-gay “rights”, pro-abortion, anti-religious freedoms, etc).
We’re looking to build a solid group of conservatives who’ll frequent our site regularly and contribute to some good discussions. The site gets updated daily with breaking news, so you’ll want to check back often, or you can just sign up for our News Feed.
If you’ll add us to your blogroll we’ll gladly add you to ours. Our blog is called Religion and Morality.
Thanks!

Chris - nice site. Thanks for putting this in the open thread.
For all - 'Religion and Morality' has a very interesting links list.
Oh - #3 to add to my above post - During Katrina, the Red Cross was only handing out $2,000 per individual, however in D.C., the 'One' was handing out a 5 $Billion times that......

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/30/us/30suicide.html?ref=us
Moonbat supersource New York Times claims that suicides of soldiers is at 3 decade high.
I wonder if they consider their drive-by media influence as a factor for any of that if it is, in fact, true.
Somehow, I suspect the data to be even more suspect than the data which has proven "global warming/global climate change/whatever they call it next week".

Students forced to pledge allegiance to Obama rather than The Flag
A parent in the Clark County School District of Las Vegas, Henderson area reported today that his son, who is in 1st grade, came home yesterday saying that he didn’t want to go back to school anymore.
When asked why, the boy said that during the Pledge of Allegiance the teacher put up a large image of Obama next to the flag.
Thinking that the boy might be exaggerating, the man asked his son if he was sure, and suggested that by “large” he might mean an 8×10 photo of the president. The boy apparently said “No, it is a large picture of Obama and when we are done, the teacher turns off the image.”

Florida lawmaker: support for traditional marriage is "offensive". Wants kids to learn about condoms beginning in the sixth grade.

Oiao: Really? Ok...
1) A lot of african-americans live in Washington DC. A lot more live within easy driving distance.
2) There was the flooding, the washed out roads, debris, lack of a surrounding metropolition, not wanting to leave their families, not wanting to leave their homes, etc etc

Anon...
The flooding, washed out roads & debris weren't present when everyone was being warned to get the hell out. Ignoring the warnings, expecting Ray-ray "Chocolate City" Nagin and that incompetent idiot of a Governor Blanco (both of whom they voted for in droves) to save their asses, and remaining trapped in a mind-set of government dependance (read: lack of personal preparedness), virtually guaranteed a disaster for the idjits in NOLA. I really have little sympathy for the whining.
