Um, is he talking on an upside-down receiver? Or is that the point of the open thread?
Posted by: PCecil at January 27, 2009 10:20 AM
Is it just me or is that phone ass backwards? My phone has the cord coming out of the talking end, not the receving end.
Posted by: Travis at January 27, 2009 10:23 AM
Just imagine if BusHitler was caught doing that, how the MSM would be in an all out rampage.
But now, it shows how pure and holy Chairman O is.

Though its just like that photoshopped pic from several months ago its still funny.

Where is his seal? That goofy thing Pepsi is trying to rip off. You'd figure he'd replace the American flag with it.
And why'd they hang Michelle's dress behind him? Where are the white stains?
Posted by: Cheesecake at January 27, 2009 10:57 AM
Who is the Prince of Darkness on the phone with? Beezlebub or Bin Laden?
The next 4 years will be known as the DARK AGES.
Posted by: Anonymous at January 27, 2009 11:06 AM
GMTA, Cheesecake. The same thing occured to me regarding the flag, and that new Pepsi logo.
Scarey!
I reckon his domestic security goons will wear it as an arm band.
I have boycotted Pepsi products for years untold what with their unabashed support for everything left and their overexposure in the movies.
Give me an ice-cold Royal Crown cola ANY day!

George Soros' boy Oreo is on the phone with the master. "But, Mr. Soros, all my appointees are turning out to be bigger crooks than I am."
Posted by: Mockingbird at January 27, 2009 11:30 AM
Some phones are like that. I've been to Washington a couple times (in school) and there's a bunch of weird office equipment there.
Also, there are swastikas in some of the molding, but I'm guessing that dates back to before WW II.
Posted by: Anonymous at January 27, 2009 11:38 AM
Uhhhhh isn't that phone upside down??? Is this photoshopped, or the real deal???? Wow!
Posted by: Teresa at January 27, 2009 11:54 AM
Looks like PALPATINE OBAMA is holding the phone upside down is that any indication how he is going to ruin this nation with the help of the demacrook party of demacrooks?
Posted by: Spurwing Plover at January 27, 2009 12:22 PM
Swastikas are found around the world in ancient cultures. They originally had nothing to do with Hitler - he just liked they way it looked and used it.

The swastika was a Hindu symbol stolen by the Third Reich and represented Nirvana or the source of all power.
Kipling was well aware of this if you have ever seen any of the old printings.

This set off a ridiculous debate in some circles, regarding the use of jackets.
Libs started fervently arguing that he was "getting down to work, unlike his predecessor" or something.
Truth be told, you can say anything you want about it. A person can work with a jacket just as another doesn't need or want it. Bush saw it fit to always wear the formal jacket when in the Oval Office. That doesn't mean he wasn't working.
My opinion - its the highest office in the land. Wear a jacket.

It's just an unusual phone.
Posted by: Anonymous at January 27, 2009 12:57 PM
I see that there was leftover fabric from Mrs. Obama's dress...enough to outfit the Oval office in 'fine' style.
Posted by: CO of Fort Housewife at January 27, 2009 1:00 PM
Looks like he is actually holding the cord like that on purpose.
Maybe some kind of vanity thing?
If you blow the picture up, you see that the cord does come out of the speaker end of the phone, and runs up the receiver.
Posted by: trace at January 27, 2009 2:09 PM
Reagan wouldn't let anyone enter the Oval Office without proper attire, ie, jacket and tie out of respect.
Posted by: single stack at January 27, 2009 2:16 PM
It just goes to show you the contempt he has for the office despite his near effortless ascension to it.
He has no idea of the power he wields. He's a follower in leader's clothing. He's looked to for answers and leadership, and he's dumb enough to elevate Rush Limbaugh to his opposing voice, because the last thing you need is Rush Goddamn Limbaugh having a legitimate platform against you.
Rush has him pegged to a T. Poor Obama, thinking he could ride in on the wind of HopenChange. As I saw on Newsbusters.org: Forget change! I want improvement!
Posted by: Cheesecake at January 27, 2009 4:03 PM
It's not the clothes, but the man (Or woman) inside them. We shall see if this holds true for BO.
While watching Cash Cap tonight, one of BO's ads came on promoting "clean coal" as if no one had thought of it untill BO came into power. Remember, this is the man who promassed to use taxes and regulations to prevent new coal plants from being built!

There was an op-ed piece by Cafferty on CNN today that sums it up. Its like he doesn't realize what he's gotten himself into. If you go to the press room, you'll see the press - and they'll ask you questions. If you reach the presidency, guess what, you have to run the government and people will look to you for leadership. Obama isn't "President" yet.
Bush wasn't "President" either. Bush became President right before our eyes on Sep 20, 2001. The question is, how long will it take Barry to become President?
Posted by: Pete at January 27, 2009 6:56 PM
When Bush was in office he NEVER took his coat off in the oval office out of RESPECT, realizing this is a Photoshop pic, I still heard the first thing Barry did was throw his jacket off. Still a step better than Bubba and his sink.

Posted by: IOpian at January 27, 2009 7:44 PM
The President has a uniform now?
It may be because I'm younger (read: not retired like you fogies) but I don't see wearing a jacket as a sign of respect.
Posted by: Anonymous at January 27, 2009 9:15 PM
Rush is so far inside their heads they can't even think straight anymore.
This liberal fascism thing has gone so far, they can't even see what they're doing to our country at this point.
Posted by: mega at January 27, 2009 9:55 PM
One of the things that bothers me most about his presidency is having to see SO many pictures of the goofy looking SOB for the next few years.
As TED reminded me - I can never look at Clinton and not see the disgusting "image" of Clinton jacking-off in the Oval Office bathroom while a young girl his daughter's age looks on in rapt fascination.
Now THAT'S "presidential”.
I'm certain Obama will bring the same liberal "dignity" to the office of the president as did B.J. Clinton.

What I would love to see, just to satisfy my curiousity about mental disorders, is a full psychological profile/workup of the libtards who now infest right-wing boards posting as they imagine conservatives to be, in order to make extreme comments that will then reduce the credibility of the blog. Especially in light of their having won all the channels of power in the US govt, I would find it fascinating to get to the root of what they think they're pursuing and toward what ultimate purpose. To win elections? Already done. To be rabble-raising juveniles? I imagine most of them are older. To discredit people who basically have no power right now? Too pointless to warrant the expense of time. Possibly just as part of a long-running revenge fantasy and inability to let some accumulated strong emotions that built up about conservatives go. The latter is my theory. I think what we've got here are some people who are hopelessly addicted to trying to take the ideological battle into the belly of the beast and slay the evil dragons of conservatism, by getting those knuckle draggers to see how stupid and wrong they are. To think that this is enough to keep people at this day after day, week after week, months after their guy won, is quite a statement on today's liberal or perhaps the nature of free time.

as much as I'd hate to stick up for the One, I believe the phone would be a secure phone (scrambled), similar to those I used in the Air Force to discuss classified information. Probably the same one that the media made Bush look stupid using.
God, seeing this picture, thinking of the next four years, reminds of the movie "Midnight Express", where someone told Billy Hayes upon his being sentenced in Turkish, "May it pass quickly"....

WHY DID ISRAEL ATTACK THE USS LIBERTY?
For background on this subject, please see my three previous articles, “The Shame of the USS Liberty,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=718, “The USS Liberty and Jewish Consternation,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=719, and “The USS Liberty: Information and Disinformation,” http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=720. Publication of the present article was delayed in deference to the celebration of the Jewish festival of Channukah and due to the recent war in Gaza.)
No other single issue about the attack of June 8, 1967 on the USS Liberty by Israeli air and naval forces provokes more interest, incites more controversy, and arouses more ire than the most fundamental question: Why did it happen?
Interrelated are many other questions–too many other questions. Those would include but are far from limited to these:
Why was the Congressional Medal of Honor, well earned by the courageous captain of the ship, William McGonagle, not bestowed on him by the President of the United States in the White House, as per long established tradition? (http://www.ussliberty.org/latimes.htm) Instead, it was awarded to this American hero in a Washington Navy Yard by the Secretary of the Navy.
Why did Dean Rusk, Richard Helms, Oliver Kirby, Clark Clifford, Adlai Stevenson, William Odom, and countless others disbelieve the Israelis and denounce the ensuing whitewash of the murder of 34 American seamen? http://www.ussliberty.org/index2.html.
The facts are incontrovertible: The attack occurred in broad daylight in international waters and without provocation, Israel ultimately admitted responsibility and paid reparations, and the assault left 34 dead and 174 injured and maimed Liberty crewmen and officers.
The mainstream media would prefer that the whole subject of the USS Liberty be buried along with the Liberty dead. I will leave the reasons for that to the reader’s determination. After all, this happened over forty one years ago so let’s just let it rest. Right? It’s ancient history, they say.
As per usual, that same liberal media has its own, unarticulated agenda and that agenda coincides with that of the Israeli Lobby in America, which is another term that stokes anger among certain elements in our society, chiefly among the Israeli Lobby in America.
They might as well say, Get over 9/11.
America could forget 9/11, to the detriment of both our souls and our national security. To the shame of the American people, many have already forgetten that day. Illustrative is this item about a University of Arizona Halloween party concerning students disgracefully scoffing at what happened on September 11th, 2001: http://maroonedinmarin.blogspot.com/2008/11/forgetting-911-disrespecting-victims.html.
If the 9/11 attacks could so soon become the source of humor, what should we expect for a expect of a forty-five year old tragedy?
Certain issues, especially when they involve deadly sneak attacks which effect massive damage and claim many innocent lives should never be ridiculed–or buried, dismissed, forgotten unless and until they are fully resolved, the responsible parties are found, prosecuted and convicted, and the survivors are at peace. Even then, to forget is to demean the victims.
So, too, with the USS Liberty “incident” which has never been resolved. The guilty have never served a day in prison and the survivors and their families will never be at rest until that resolution.
The only differences between September 11th, 2001 and June 8th, 1967 are differences of scale and consequences; the scale is obvious, the consequences less so. 9/11 was avenged, to a degree, the latter has not been.
Perhaps the worst insult of all to the memories of those who died and those who survived on the Liberty is that their country, our country, may never seek redress because of the influence of that same Israel Lobby.
As can be seen in my previous articles, there is a concerted and blatant effort in some quarters not only to inter the story of the USS Liberty but to ignore or change the factual evidence as to how and why the attack took place. The most common retort to raising the issue is a lame and misleading resort to inflammatory charges of anti-Semitism in lieu of any attempt at refutation.
Worse, that intrigue extends not only to individuals and groups which refuse to accept the truth, but also to our government officials who,...

"What's that you say? You can't hear me very well, either?".
*Obama shakes telephone*
"Bush must have broken it".
"Damn you, Bush; damn you to hell!", Obama yells at the ceiling.
"What's that?"
"Yes. Yes, Michelle. I'm doing it, Michelle. Don't worry ... it'll be ready by the Inauguration. I'm taking the curtains down and delivering them to the dressmaker on the way home, okay?".
*Obama hangs up*

I've worked with an adoption agency, and I'd be more enraged if I hadn't heard straight couples laugh derisively at the thought of adopting children day after day. We never had enough people who were interested, even with church outreach programs and daily canvassing.
Even a gay couple is better then a group home.
