Oh, I thought up a liberal rejoinder to the trash thing:

Sure, there was a lot of trash, but how many chicken bones, beer bottles, and shell casings were left lying around after the last NRA rally?

Hey-yo!

He didn't say Regan traded his /own/ arms.

I propose a $100 million initiative to locate and support the poor armless victims of the Iran hostage situation.

Barack Obama inauguration: it will all end in tears

By Gerald Warner

This will end in tears. The Obama hysteria is not merely embarrassing to witness, it is itself contributory to the scale of the disaster that is coming.

What we are experiencing, in the deepening days of a global depression, is the desperate suspension of disbelief by people of intelligence - la trahison des clercs - in a pathetic effort to hypnotise themselves into the delusion that it will be all right on the night. It will not be all right.

We have been here before. In the spring of 1997, to be precise, when a charismatic, young prime minister entered Downing Street, cheered by children bussed in for the occasion waving plastic Union Jacks.

A very few of us at that time incurred searing reproaches for denouncing the Great Charlatan (as I have always denominated Tony Blair) and dissenting from the public hysteria. Three times a deluded Britain elected that transparent fraud. Yesterday, when national bankruptcy became a formal reality, we reaped the bitter harvest of the Blair/Brown imposture.

The burnt child, contrary to conventional wisdom, does not fear the fire. After the Blair experience there is no excuse for anybody in Britain falling for Obama.

Yet today, in this country, even some of those who remained sane during the emotional spasm of the Diana aberration are pumping the air for Princess Barack. At a time of gross economic and geopolitical instability throughout the Western world, this is beyond irresponsibility.

To anyone who kept his head, the string of Christmas cracker mottoes booming through the public address system on Washington's National Mall can only excite scepticism. It is crucial to recall the reality that lies behind the rhetoric.

Denouncing "those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents" comes ill from a man whose flagship legislation, the Freedom of Choice Act, will impose abortion, including partial-birth abortion, on every state in the Union. It seems the era of Hope is to be inaugurated with a slaughter of the innocents.

What a way to honor the 44th Presidency of the United States. Again, stay classy libs.

I wonder if some moderates are beginning to have second thoughts about what exactly they have done to this country?

I wonder if any Democrat politicians attended that event and what did they tell their clueless wives.

I used to joke that Nancy Pelosi was 'Nancy PolPotLucy.'

It is not a joke anymore - she is the reincarnate of PolPot............

Read this article - especially the last paragraph.

In the Socialist/Marxist/Communist/Liberal Democratic Party mind, the ends justify the means. Kill everyone who opposes you.

History will not favor Nancy.

speaking of Pelosi and confused moonbattery at its finest, she defends contraception as part of the stimulus package. No link yet - just breaking on Drudge. Here's the text...

PELOSI SAYS BIRTH CONTROL WILL HELP ECONOMY
Sun Jan 25 2009 22:13:43 ET

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi boldly defended a move to add birth control funding to the new economic "stimulus" package, claiming "contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."

Pelosi, the mother of 5 children and 6 grandchildren, who once said, "Nothing in my life will ever, ever compare to being a mom," seemed to imply babies are somehow a burden on the treasury.

The revelation came during an exchange Sunday morning on ABC's THIS WEEK.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?

PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?

PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

Abortion in America: A Grisly Reality

As the ardently pro-abortionist President Obama plots to end any and all restrictions on the practice of aborting pre-born babies in the United States and to fund abortions worldwide, it’s time to review the issue.

Fifty years ago in our country, the word “abortion,” if not unheard of, was rarely uttered in polite society, much like but more emotionally charged than the use of the F-word or even the N-word are today. But times have changed and as the old Virginia Slims cigarette commercial enticed women, “You’ve come a long way, Baby!”And that they have, for better or worse.

It is not the purpose of this article to discuss the reasons for that change as it relates to what is now called reproductive rights other than to mention the obvious, namely the development of the women’s rights movement, women’s liberation, which not coincidentally sprouted around the same time that agitation for legalized abortion began.

A significant and deadly right claimed by the bra-burning demonstrators of the 1960’s was the right to destroy their pre-born “products of conception” Today, that right has become so ingrained in the American psyche that the act itself is almost commonplace.

Originally, pro-abortionists readily, if not proudly, accepted that label until the rise of the Pro-life movement and the realization of Americans’ general feeling of repugnance at the thought of what an abortion involved. It was then that pro-abortionists resorted to the euphemistic label of “pro-choice” to describe themselves and their position.

The Pro-choice movement, however, never took into consideration a choice that should have been the right of the most innocent party in an abortion, namely the pre-born child’s. That tiny being was denied personhood by the highest court in the land in 1973 in its most capricious and far-reaching decision since Dred Scott v. Sandford in 1857. One main difference is that Roe v. Wade had much deadlier consequences for what lawyers call the party of the first part, the baby, who not only was denied personhood but literally had no voice in the matter and ultimately was denied life itself.

One principal reason offered for legalizing abortion was to save women from the horrors of so-called “back alley abortions,” which rarely...

On Topic.

"Actually it is a new monument - in honor of the anointed one..." and so fitting. Many of you working in Electronics or Computer Science is familiar with the term "Trash In = Trash Out", it is inscribed into the base of this new monument. That is what we can expect the next four years if he lasts that long.

That Pelosi is dumber than a box of rocks. There is just no way that she can spin the contraceptive deal into making any sense at all. This package is nothing but a big basket of hard left special interest gimmes. It is not responsible legislation.

Another comment: I think FOCA is going to come back and bite Barack hard in the ass. A lot of people were unaware of it, because they are so uninformed, and will realize that they didn't really bargain for that. The hard left thinks that everyone who voted for Obama are just like them, and that is just not true.
